Guardiola did this as a protest to referees, with the tackles flying in and out, we all know zinchenko n adarabioyo have been making the bench all season, also some young guns, don't get it twisted... It was his way of protesting to the league the kinda tackles his team got in the last 6-8weeks
Someone should please tell me, Mikel Arteta is on NL?

This city man u, pep, Mou, Sanchez saga we all are ranting was all about money, 1. Sanchez agent knew this may likely be his last big money move, therefore wanted more money
2. Sanchez wanted to make sure his agent, who have stood by him for this long also got a fair share of the ilargesse
3. Sanchez also wanted to milk as high as he could get from this last 'big money move'
With all the aforementioned in consideration, Sanchez camp went back to ask for more in wages and other settlement from city, City who for reasons best known to them becoming suddenly prudent with spending said no.. Pep looking at the pros n cons with his team doing well and dressing room harmony in consideration decided it wasn't worth completing the deal... And the rest they say is history
Incredible, do you in any form work with the Sheikh to know all these?

Sinizia...... you've really done well, I hope you can stick to your Words and avoid the Clown's Rants henceforth.

I trust him to be google-searching for Junks from rubbish Blogs simply for a Clapback right now, thus I hope you would ignore but rather laugh at his Stupidity.

While Twat1093 depends on Twitter to get Trash, Alligator depends on lame Posts from wack Blogs to backup his Gibberish.

You've schooled him well, hence it's left for him to rethink and re-examine himself.

More grease.....

"Scott mc tominay started a little bit nervously but he grew up in the game. I think he was fundamental for us in the way he gave us that desire to recover the ball at all times. I changed a few players, thinking about the characteristic of this game. The intention was not to punish anyone. To punish someone then I also need someone to punish me because we are a team. When we win, we win together and when we lose we lose together. I always try to do the best for the team in any moment.

Scott was a little kid who arrived here at 9 years old with his mum for his first training session..10 or 11 years later the kid is playing in a Manchester united shirt in an important match in the premier league in old trafford. He had a great desire to recover the ball. When the team was not in possession he was key to chasing the ball higher up the pitch and when the team had the ball he played always simple. And against opponents like huddersfield who are so close with so many men behind the ball then simplicity is sometimes genius. If you don't have space you have to open spaces by playing simple which was what he did."

I hope Pogba is paying attention

So a secondary school student who has a school test on Friday shouldn't prepare for it rather he should follow his elder brother who is preparing for his university test to tutorial so he can know how the university experience is like

Is that what joeace is telling us? Excellent logic

Maybe that's how Gary Neville wasn't preparing Valencia for la liga but sending them to sit on the bench in a CL game to get the feeling of how playing CL would be like

You should expect these tackles especially when you know how to hold the ball. Sanchez suffered same too so it's not it's "the world against Pep" thing.

I don't understand if mctominay is actually limited on the ball or just scared to be more adventurous with his football.
It makes it difficult to see him as anything other than just basic.
He was played as a striker many times from the reserves prior to his promotion, so maybe it's the latter.
We will have to wait and see.
Spot on...

Why didn't Pep bring 6 subs when Liverpool hammered his side? He is lucky he got a result yesterday else the argument would be different today. He would be meeting the rest of the top 6 in the coming weeks, I dare Pep to show up with 6 subs in each game.

These are some of the issues other coaches have with Pep. It almost feels like an entitled arrogance of some sorts. He has been allowed to wear the yellow ribbon in support of Catalonia but if Mou wore that or any other coach, they would have heard it from the FA by now. No one is bigger than the league, the EPL is a very physical league and every team especially ball playing teams suffer the brunt. Ramsey, Reyes, RVP, Diaby to mention a few from my team have suffered horrific injuries from tackles during games. The same goes for other players from other teams.

Pep must be very careful not to get into a head on with the British media because they would ruin his stay in the EPL and force him out irrespective of result.

What is it, 6-7 mentions and none of the Man Utd trolls could actually address my earlier point.

So I went through few pages on here and I find some comments trolling Arsenal. This I find amusing because it's coming from the fans of a club that haven't exactly bettered Arsenal in the last five years or so. Yep, not in trophy haul, not in better league position, not in better quality of football play, OK I give it to you guys, you've spent at least five times what Arsenal spent in that period, so credit where it's due grin.

Point stands though; rubbish Arsenal (I'm not arguing this, I accept we are rubbish grin) have been finishing ahead of your team for five years now (no, I'm not celebrating this like some of you were mischievously implying in your comments, just stating facts), with same number of trophies having spent a fraction of your budget.

You all, just like me, should do the honorable thing and accept your club is super rubbish.

Baba, all these injuries did not happen in one season and I am sure atleast 3 players got red carded for it each of the times. Compare that to City.

It is not entitlement to complain when teams have made it a norm this season. I am sure we did not see him complain about tackles this much last season.

Roland17, while I totally agree with you that if Mourinho had wore the yellow ribbon showing support to a state's independence, he MAY have been banned instead of escaping a fine like Guardiola did, I disagree with you on the number of substitutes controversy.

Yesterday when I read about Gary's outburst concerning Pep's number of substitutes, what immediately came to my mind was, "what's he on about? Why is he making a mountain outta a molehill? Is it his business? How many times have Pep done such?"

I don't see why there's so much noise made about this matter. Just coz of ONE substitute he didn't bring along? If he had brought him along he still wouldn't play him. To my best of knowledge, clubs are allowed just 3 substitutes in a match; so, Pep had enough substitute to see out that match. Pep drawing that match was not because of that move by him. So, what's the fuss about? Am I missing something here? If Pep usually does this, then Gary is right, but if he doesn't, then Gary should calm down and sip some tea. You're a pundit you attach meanings to everything.

Phaamsaam, eruditor shey na so?

How dare you question it.

Their club is never wrong.
Their legends are the best.
Their manager too is.
Everything they do is on point.

Even their trophyless run, is the standard.

A club overpays for a player, they are right.
Another club does same they are "buying the league".

I never saw anyone justify a bad 4 years while denigrating someone else who was bad but still did better in said time frame.

Baba, I agree with you that every coach should complain and become irritable when his player gets injured because of horrific tackles, but e neva reach to come dey send 6 players instead of 7 na for league game, not even Carabo or FA cup sef. I believe every coach should protect his players despite the physical nature of the league but how you protest is very important. Right now, the officials are on a hot spot whenever the officiate city games because of Pep's comments.

Furthermore, If you look at it strategically, Pep is undermining the efforts of the Man city academy through that protest. Infact, I would have preferred to see him bring 7 young unheralded players to the bench instead of questioning the rules we all play by.
