Don't make it sound like it's West Ham here, it's City who spend the most cash so, I don't see how money can be a problem.
We didn't offer more money to Arsenal who had the call to make at this point, we just offered a sweetener to the deal and that's Mkhitaryan, City were going to pay between 25-35m to Arsenal and still pay him weekly (we aren't sure how much). Everything was pretty done until we came in with Mkhitaryan, Arsenal looked at the amount they were going to get for Sanchez and knew it couldn't afford a player the quality of Mkhitaryan and decided to do business with us, all we had to do was convince Sanchez that he had the perfect platform to excel at Old Trafford, he was guaranteed a starting place and the star of the team and he thought it was good for him and he accepted our offer. Case closed.
Now if you're on about inference, doesn't the above sound more plausible?

This would have been true if Alexis and his agent did not revert to City to ask them to match what United offered.

That is how we knew the wages United offered.

theyve been looking for a way out since failure is unavoidable. First they screamed “Pep has a younger squad”, we showed them that their manager loves them old with the signing of Zlatan and Sanchez the latter being the highest paid player in their squad.

Now they want to commit suicide cos Pep didn’t pick a youth to make up his bench cos Mou miraculously did.

After snatching Sanchez from him they went about wailing cos he was abt signing Mahrez.

They just want to have the monopoly of spending as that’s the only way they can dominate but it’s obvious it can no longer happen in this current dispensation hence the daily tears abt what happens in other clubs. They can no longer mind their business same way they cried the day Ozil renewed his contract.

Which begs the question. who really are the noisy neighbours?

I endorse this whole post without reservations.

Which perfect platform? Is it the one that’s 13 points away from the 1st platform.?

It's not a six month deal bro. When you are negotiating, you try to make the player see the big picture.

Why didn't Pep bring 6 subs when Liverpool hammered his side? He is lucky he got a result yesterday else the argument would be different today. He would be meeting the rest of the top 6 in the coming weeks, I dare Pep to show up with 6 subs in each game.

These are some of the issues other coaches have with Pep. It almost feels like an entitled arrogance of some sorts. He has been allowed to wear the yellow ribbon in support of Catalonia but if Mou wore that or any other coach, they would have heard it from the FA by now. No one is bigger than the league, the EPL is a very physical league and every team especially ball playing teams suffer the brunt. Ramsey, Reyes, RVP, Diaby to mention a few from my team have suffered horrific injuries from tackles during games. The same goes for other players from other teams.

Pep must be very careful not to get into a head on with the British media because they would ruin his stay in the EPL and force him out irrespective of result.

Sorry this is pure bad belle and nothing else

vs Liverpool were 6 players inuured? Was Sane Stones, Silva injured? Did he have these players available and just decided to field 6 subs?

Kane tackle on Sterling - No red card
Alli tackle on KDB no red card
Puncheon tackle on KDB no red card
Phillips tackle on Diaz no red card
The tackle on Sane no red card
The tackle on KDB vs West Brom no red card

All these are red worthy If you doubt I can post the images

it's called inference.... if it wasn't about the money, why did man utd offer more than man city?

I don't even get why that's an issue... your club is a rich club so naturally would outbid other clubs...

wait, I think I get it now... u guys want to maintain an image of a low spender so that you'll have an excuse if man city is more successful
Why did Pep choose to go to City instead of other clubs that were after him?

because city had a better structure... they had wanted pep for years and had already hired the former director of football from Barcelona and other people who saw eye to eye with pep...

city were prepped for pep

Tell me none of the above tackles deserved a red card. Injuring and deliberately injuring a player isnt part of the game and it carries a punishment.

All Pep is telling the ref is to do their job according to the rules of the game

I wonder when it became a problem for people to do their job

So what do you call a platform that offers him strictly europa league football or the chance to reduce a 25 point plus gap to city like arsenals?

What would a smart person do if offered the chance to move to a club facing the current challenge we are rather than the one facing your joke of a club?

Roland17, while I totally agree with you that if Mourinho had wore the yellow ribbon showing support to a state's independence, he MAY have been banned instead of escaping a fine like Guardiola did, I disagree with you on the number of substitutes controversy.

Yesterday when I read about Gary's outburst concerning Pep's number of substitutes, what immediately came to my mind was, "what's he on about? Why is he making a mountain outta a molehill? Is it his business? How many times have Pep done such?"

I don't see why there's so much noise made about this matter. Just coz of ONE substitute he didn't bring along? If he had brought him along he still wouldn't play him. To my best of knowledge, clubs are allowed just 3 substitutes in a match; so, Pep had enough substitute to see out that match. Pep drawing that match was not because of that move by him. So, what's the fuss about? Am I missing something here? If Pep usually does this, then Gary is right, but if he doesn't, then Gary should calm down and sip some tea. You're a pundit you attach meanings to everything.

Imagine if City had lost, would anyone blame the absence of a player no one probably knew the name on the bench?

E.g would ut be the presence od Dele-Bashiru or Nmecha on the City bench that would make the team win points from a losing position?

Baba, I agree with you that every coach should complain and become irritable when his player gets injured because of horrific tackles, but e neva reach to come dey send 6 players instead of 7 na for league game, not even Carabo or FA cup sef. I believe every coach should protect his players despite the physical nature of the league but how you protest is very important. Right now, the officials are on a hot spot whenever the officiate city games because of Pep's comments.

Furthermore, If you look at it strategically, Pep is undermining the efforts of the Man city academy through that protest. Infact, I would have preferred to see him bring 7 young unheralded players to the bench instead of questioning the rules we all play by.

Ok

These are the pertinent questions

1. When did the first team travel on Friday to Burnley to get to Burnley settle down and train for the midday game on Saturday

2. When did the reserve team finish their game

3. How realistic was it to get a player after the youth game on Friday to join the senior traveling squad the same Friday? When the first team has probably travelled to Burnley before the youth game ended

4. To achieve what exactly?

Felicevich was keen to negotiate new terms with the Etihad outfit, as he expected them to try topping the Red Devils' offer. But he was promptly informed that there would be no further contact over Sanchez - not due to the money involved, but because he had gone back on his word.

Dayo, I am sorry but you have made a hasty conclusion about my perspective without reading further. This was my post to @ Eruditor. Please don't construe my argument against Pep's decision to bring 6 players. The deliberate choice to bring 6 as a form of protest is disrespectful to other teams and undermines the quality of the product the EPL is selling.

Manchester United has won more trophies than Arsenal in the last 5 years or "so".
Arsenal got 3 FA cups and 1 Shield, what else are you on about?

So much fallacy in one submission.
Excellent. Now that you have listed the number of trophies Arsenal won in the last five years kindly list those won by Man Utd in the same period.

Thanks buddy.

You have succeeded in exposing Peps lack of strategic planning skills as a manager with these litany of logistic excuses.

If the variables you have listed were constant, would Pep bring 6 bench players against Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal?

If the variables listed above were constant, would he dare such in the UCL?
