Greg sorry for your denial but if this is your email address ezealaji45@yahoo.com, a quick search on Google will give you up. Infact looking at your profile/post on nairaland if I were the VO, I won't give you that VISA, just saying... seems to me you lied on your application, I won't have lied if I were you! Even your phone number is here on nairaland, these VO's are not stupid o. I wonder why people lie on their application and come here to ask what went wrong?? Example you said u've worked for 3 yrs with FMC, but everything here on nairaland says you are seeking for job...
JGreg:
Sorry guys this is coming a bit late I had my interview two weeks ago your valuable input would serve me going forward another day.

Vo: Good morning
me: morning

Vo: where are you going
me:Los Angeles California

Vo: what's happening there?
me: I have been invited to give a paper presentation on.......a mental health disorder (at this time I was really fast so she asked me to slow down so she can get the message,I complied)

vo :you said you have been working with FMC... how long?
me:3 years

Vo:what did you study?
me: clinical psychology

Vo: when did you graduate?
me : 2011(maybe I should have mentioned month but I didn't)

Vo: Are you married?
yes

Vo:Do you have children?
yes

......all this while she was busy typing not looking at me then she paused and asked the last bombshell question, she asked me this at the outset of the interview then she came back to it again

Vo: what is another name for Eremophobia(which was my presentation)

me: I told her in simple language in layman's understanding easy to understand

Vo:the visa does not qualify you to give this sort of presentation

......At this point the rejection the blue paper was out

PS: In my mind I was like was she expecting me to give her another big name for the mental health disorder? when she couldn't understand EREMOPHOBIA

I then decided to give her in a layman's understanding YET I was denied hence I wonder exactly what went wrong or the criteria which was used, meanwhile I was expecting questions related to my job duties, salaries, etc in my DS160 form but to my disappointment I didn't see any of that.

please Gurus in the house please dissect the interview and tell me where to work on next time

Thanks your valuable input were helpful before my interview

Please help a friend, he made a mistake on ds160 and filled another one. But he is finding it difficult to reschedule his appointment with the new ds160. Please how should he go about it, will he create another profile? Thanks

say what u told him on "What do you do" Why are u leaving your child for 3 weeks (is there anyone going with you? ). And have u left your child behind before (have you traveled outside the country before?). U never gave V.O better reasons why your child ain't following u on this trip. Children do go to Disney sometimes
.i'm a medical store officer working at the hospital. I haven't traveled outside the country before and the reason why I don't want to take her along was because of her grandma, she said I should let her be with her. Please, what are the things I really need to change for my next application in terms of circumstances.

the only thing i will advise is travel history, that's the only way u can overcome the V.O assumption that u want to leave your child behind for better living. On your next interview let the V.O know who the child will stay with or reason the child ain't following u. Some (Child in boarding school). A travel history shows it's not new, u have done it before. Or better still take your child along for the trip. God bless
Thank you so much I really appreciate.

Okay sir, clear and understood. You are most welcome! Kindly note too that the very first link in your above post isn't exactly that of the Immigrant thread, as seen, first and second link heads to the same direction/thread. Do go through and amend as appropriate across board.... Regards always!

I was issued an international passport around September 22 of last year , and I wish to apply for a U.S visa, please house, can I go ahead with that now? As I only just found out a passport must be up to 6 months before being issued a visa, and does this apply to every other country or just USA?

u misinterpreted the info. Not must be up to 6 month used already, it must be 6 month valid(Date of arrival at POE+ 6month) does it fall above ur Passport expiring date?. U are good to go if its just last September u collected it
abeg no vex, I no grab. My passport was issued 29 of September 2017 and will expire 28 September 2022, am I good to apply for the visa?

No, you can't use just ANY DHL office. There are 6 designated centres in Nigeria: 2 in Lagos; 1 each in Abuja, PH, Kaduna and Benin.

No too, they must all not be in colored prints, I however personally like and prefer to use the colored prints.
Thanks a lot OmoBendel24

Greetings house. i will appreciate the response from anyone. i am a married woman with 2 children and a good job(over 3 years with current employer) i have an extensive travel history(Studied in senegal and kenya, traveled to the UK more than once, traveled to Dubai, schengen countries(Netherlands, Spain and paris). This week was my 5th attempt at trying to get an American visa with my 2 daughters. hubby and i decided that the children and i should apply in order to increase our chances that we are leaving someone back in Nigeria but our application was refused. prior to this refusal, i have applied 3 times alone( 2 times for my siblings wedding ceremony) and 1 time to attend a conference. hubby and first daughter applied also applied together and were refused.
Obviously there is something wrong. i have made inquires if i have been banned(that's the worse i could think of) but i was told that is not the case. i have never overstayed in any of the countries i have visited.
i have 2 siblings living and working in the united states and are both legal. i have no intention what so ever to overstay.
any advise will be appreciated. thank you

You might have been contradicting yourself in your previous application compare to this last application.
You might need to post the script here and lets see where the problem is.
dubolog:
post your first alone transcript(If u remember) and Conference with last family transcripts (including Hubble). People might see where u never corrected ever since ur first application. Most times it's Contradicting Edu+job or job+job or job+conference or Edu+Conference. wink .

Funny enough both alone, with Children and conference all have the same line of questions. Some are:
VO: where are you going in America
me: going for my twin sister's wedding at Illinois/ attending a conference at New jersey that has to do with Safety
VO: Have you traveled before?
Me: yes i have, i mention the countries i have been
VO: Unfortunately you dont qualify for a visa this time.
me: Thank you

Good day
Experts in the house. I just stumbled on this thread but I have really learnt a lot!
I need some guidance please
I want to apply for my wife and son (11 yrs) for a two week visit this summer. So I need confirmation that I got the steps right

1. Pay for visa fees for both (separate ,2 receipts)
2. Complete separate DS-160 for both, but we fill my son’s form first so we then attach his form to my wife’s at the end?
3. In the DS-160, I am a bit confused how we upload passport photo since we cannot snap from mobile phone, do we just scan the passport photo then resize it with the online tool?
4. For appointment confirmation - will it be 2 or1 appointment confirmation printed.
5. Finally, my son’s passport expires in July (less than 6 months) can we apply with this passport but get a new passport for the summer trip
Would appreciate detailed response and any other helpful info in case I missed anything. Thanks so much!

Thanks for this beautiful and concise response. It was a fact I scheduled the interview for Dec but i couldn't attend cos of emergency at work that was why I rescheduled it to Feb against Easter season using the same VSF ticket and form. I just wish to know who has the idea of what went wrong. Is it travel history, or Invitation or what? Mind you, no Agent was involved.
I have no idea why you were refused.
However, if I were a virgin, I would refuse you based on your work answer.
What is your loan recovery strategy?
Your answer: we first sent text message.....
What is that?! I too worked in a financial institution and know that before loans are approved, KYC evaluation is done. So if a customer defaults, isn't it logical that the first strategy would be to find out why? And make enquiries if the money Don loss, the possible means to recoup it.
All this one before sending text. Text message Sef no make any sense cos a loan demand based on contract should be by formal correspondence..

Well. Pele o
