Funny thing you'd mention AFRICOM, they seem to be busy with our Francophone neighbours.

AFRICOM is busy but they have enough fighters to respond anytime.

With few fighters and also during a time when NAF was extremely busy, we deployed two fighters to Gambia.

All this countries using heavy transport aircraft for ISR, ELINT and Maritime Patrol roles are they not worried about limited flight performance during evasive manoeuvre?

China
Russia
Japan
South Korea
Britain (Nimrod MPA)

The Chinese operate various aircrafts for ISR , elint, maritime patrol.

Moreover, heavy fighters can be modified during design to handle some maneuvers the normal version won't do.

Boring does things like that for the USAF. I'll try looking for the videos and see maneuvers performed by heavy aircrafts.

USAAFAFRICA operates as the air component for AFRICOM.

They've got aircrafts in Djibouti, Turkey, Germany, United Kingdom, Italy and Portugal.

They can easily perform an offensive on the request of the DHQ as these guys are always on the move flying sorties.

Nemesis, could you explain why the SU-35s is so advanced?

What does it actually bring to the table that other 4++ jets don't have?

The issue is no one will ask for such help. We have jets to prosecute the war we're fighting.

I'm just insinuating incase of a country with limited air power. I'm sure if they have oil, they'll be willing to help.

If u ask me su35 is a deep upgrade of su30

It brings in systems which were developed for pakfa.

It uses better engines

It uses better radars

It uses better avionics

It's man machine interface is better.

Comparison of aircrafts is a futile task which I have repeatedly stated becz of unavailability of operational info.

It will be therefore safe to say it is one of the best 4++ gen fighters along with Rafale , typhoon etc.

Personally I believe su35 scores over in manuverability thanks to its TVC and big internal volume which allows integration of large no of sensors/sub systems.

QRSAM radars

bsr (battery surveillance radar)

BMFR (battery multi function radar)

Is unique in the sense that the radars sections r conformal with the vehicle body.

From a distance the vehicle will look like a normal vehicle.

One thing I noticed most of their products r a result of cooperation with other countries like Israel US Italy S Korea , Singapore etc. They buy the production rights then in some cases modify them to their needs eg altay tank , t129 helicopter , panther artillery gun etc

They r clever I must say , they have managed to cut the development cycle by leveraging tech / production facilities know how from others.

I doubt it, Isreal knows that russia is playing it safe and are jot going to get involved. They have free reign over Syrian skies, until ofcourse they kill Russian soldiers.

According to the Israeli army the F-16 was hit and went down after coming under "massive anti-aircraft fire".

Reuters claimed it was downed by a Syrian anti-aircraft missile.
