Eruditor: Oga, just shut up already with this nuisance. The very first voting results were released January 4th. The starters haven't been decided, so how would the coaches start picking reserves before the starters have been selected? Is it not after the voting is concluded, reserves get picked based on their form before the January 23rd date? Your argument is really kindergarten, pshhhhh Even then, I told you that statistically those players were on par with PG shading it but he lost that margin by being number 2 on a team with a worse record than Klay who was number 3. For goodness sake, this is the last I'll repeat this. NOBODY CARES ABOUT THE 3RD SCORING OPTION Draymond isn't the 3rd scoring option, is playing better than Klay and people aren't making noise about him. If Klay were in Blazers, putting up 20ppg as third option, nobody would give a fvck. NOT ONE!!!! He's in the All Star for one reason: His team record. D.umb. Bring these stats during the period of consideration and leave with egg on your face. The margins were a lot smaller between the months that factored into the decision-making of the coaches. And as usual, you typed trash Paul George was in contention for DPOY as early as November. OKC were the 2nd best defensive team up till January. And here, you're saying his defensive numbers would reduce during that period a lot cos of who? Klay Thompson? Jesuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu Between the 3rd scorer on a team of a catch and shoot player and a ball dominant small forward who is the 2nd scorer on his team? You know you have no defense when all you say is 3rd scoring I did and no 3rd scoring option is doing better than Klay (inconsistent as he has been). Klay whose career stats are better than PGs who was the score first option for most of his life. The question is WHO WAS MORE DESERVING OF THE ALL-STAR SPOT? That is all I am discussing even when you have tried ever so hard to change it into who is having a better season. The person having the better season, more still in a winning team. Paul George checked both boxes. Klay Thompson just one Same person who defended the media's decision(not coaches o) to give triple double machine MVP even when someone with a marginally similar record had the 3rd best winning record in the NBA. Ladies and Gentlemen, he's veered off to another Westbrook topic Your MCM uses a year old argument that's done to cover up for his weak debates. Your MCM is obsessed with Westbrook even after he dropped 2Ls on him this season. Your MCM is 85 Westbrook averaged a triple double, had over >10 game winners including the one that took his team to the playoffs and then won the MVP. Kill yourself... 5 Likes |

Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 6:10pm On Feb 10, 2018 |
Decale: You are still rehashing the same canned garbage. We get to know the front runners for MVP waay ahead of the playoffs. Then before, they will usually announce the winner during the playoffs or like they did last season after it, but the period of consideration is during the regular season. OR They get to announce the Player of the month for the player's achievements in that month even though the honour is announced and conferred sometimes during the 2nd week of the ensuing month. But the Period used to consider such award is during the previous month. Again I repeat: The period of consideration for the NBA All-stars is everything that has occurred between Oct to Dec ending. Anything happening after is inconsequential. Every player that made it into the original team (before injuries) were announced Jan 4 on the list. Keep playing first to call post nuisance and then hit submit to post your own. NOBODY CARES ABOUT THE 3RD SCORING OPTION LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO He's in the All Star for one reason: His team record. Partly, I agree to this and have said nothing less except adding that Lou and PG do not deserve the spot over him because of January. And as usual, you typed trash A team can be losing games 80-79 and the individual players and team will have good efficiency ratings defence-wise. I don't also recall saying PGs defensive numbers will reduce but that in that same period Klay's were marginally on par with his save steals and to a lesser degree defensive boards. Let me also add that in the period in consideration PGs numbers in Points were record low (since his 3rd season), assists (low since his second season) and rebounds (since his rookie season). You know you have no defense when all you say is 3rd scoring Sure. The coaches are wrong. They selected Iggy in 2012. Klay should outblock KD or Dray, out assist Dray or Curry, outscore Curry or KD, outrebound KD or Dray or outsteal Curry or Dray to be an allstar. So which one is PG doing better than Westbrook? Don't tell me steals because I can use Klay's 3pt shooting as his excuse. The person having the better season, more still in a winning team. Paul George checked both boxes. Klay Thompson just one ^^^ what you have been trying so hard to argue about even when no one has contended that with you. PG is having a better season. If I have said otherwise show me. But in the OCT-DEC period which was used primarily for the decisions, Klay deserved the all-star spot all things being equal. Ladies and Gentlemen, he's veered off to another Westbrook topic Even for you, this is inane. You supported the media when it suited your argument and turned around to rubbish coaches when it does not suit it. I am showing you the illogic. It is going to be off-topic because it is off the tangent you are working with. Your MCM uses a year old argument that's done to cover up for his weak debates. HAHAHAHAHA. Your MCM is obsessed with Westbrook even after he dropped 2Ls on him this season. Last season how many Ls did he drop? Was I not "obsessed" then. You can pay for school but you cannot buy Your MCM is 85 OKAY. averaged a triple double, had over >10 game winners including the one that took his team to the playoffs and then won the MVP. Kill yourself... Why would I need game winners when I am blowing teams out? Future GM thinks there is only one way to think. The joke is on you. Logic session ended. 3 Likes |

Eruditor: Let's see the list the coaches compiled on January 3rd. Waiting for the list Let me also add that in the period in consideration PGs numbers in Points were record low (since his 3rd season), Higher than Klay Thompson's assists (low since his second season) and Still higher than Klay Thompson's rebounds (since his rookie season). ; And higher than Klay Thompson's [s]Sure. October to February: PG13 is better in a winning team I came down to "October to December" and PG13 is still better in a winning team. Lemme help you out once more and this discussion is over. Don't have time for your futile posts... Produce the list or link of the list where the coaches compiled the reserves that were going to be selected on January 4. Do that and I'm done. Thanks |
Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 7:52pm On Feb 10, 2018 |
Decale: Oga, no time for wild goose chase. The logic is simple. After player ranks, media ranks and fans rank a list comprising those who will make the list of starters and possible reserves were released. Starters were asterixed and the rest (reserves or out) to be decided by the coaches and assistants. After that, NBA steps in incase of injuries. The list is online. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nba.com/amp/league/article/2018/01/18/cleveland-cavaliers-lebron-james-golden-state-warriors-stephen-curry-named Coaches could not select a name that was not on that list so even if anyone was playing out of their minds from Jan 1-23 it did not matter. Lou Will step aside. A team coach was not allowed to select his own player. So Kerr and Brown did not select Klay. It was other coaches that did. Klay has never been known for rebounds or assists so his numbers were effectively an improvement from his previous seasons. His ppg dropped but it was expected now that he gets to shoot the ball 3rd most in his team. I gave fax here no printers. You said I should kill myself but I won't tell you to do same because the COACHES agreed with me. End of. 3 Likes |

Eruditor: This is where you erred and now I'm happy to school you and then drop the Mic. There has never been a time coaches used a list to select reserves All Star selections start off with the fan vote, that select Starters. Media and Players rank the top vote getters (starters) and NBA gets the weighted average. That's just for starters Coaches choose the reserves from their conferences, never using the rest of the players on the list. If there's an injury, Adam Silver replaces. Every player in the NBA that was voted by fans were on that list down to Shabazz Muhammad, who was ranked 52 by the player and media. The NBA from your link just gave the cropped version (Top 10)... Look at these links for yourself for some education: https://www.basketball-reference.com/allstar/NBA_2018_voting.html http://pr.nba.com/2018-nba-all-star-game-starters-voting-results/ Goran Dragic and Kemba Walker were not in the cropped version same as Lou Williams but were used as replacements. The coaches voted a day before 23rd, one of the earliest reserves announcements ever. Therefore, games played in January (>10 games) were used. Klay was picked by the coaches not for his October - December performances but for his team record prior to January 23rd. Coaches could not select a name that was not on that list so even if anyone was playing out of their minds from Jan 1-23 it did not matter. Lou Will step aside. Hin say list before January 1st Now run off and play somewhere to free your mind from the orgasms you thought you had defending Klay Thompson. Peace... 3 Likes |

Decale: So I had not been erring since. There has never been a time coaches used a list to select reserves I knew you would say this and waited for it. There is no difference between the voting pattern here and what happens in FIFA. They ALWAYS crop the list to synchronise voting or else 5 different players can be tied at the same number. It is a usual voting tool so you are not schooling anyone talmbout Shabazz Mohammed or Seth Curry. All Star selections start off with the fan vote, that select Starters. Media and Players rank the top vote getters (starters) and NBA gets the weighted average. That's just for starters Schooling indeed. Redundant. Coaches choose the reserves from their conferences, never using the rest of the players on the list. If there's an injury, Adam Silver replaces. LOOOOL [s]Every player in the NBA that was voted by fans were on that list down to Shabazz Muhammad, who was ranked 52 by the player and media. The NBA from your link just gave the cropped version (Top 10)[/s]... Goran Dragic and Kemba Walker were not in the cropped version same as Lou Williams but were used as replacements. By the NBA which has always been the rule. What is the new info here? I already said this in my previous post. The coaches voted a day before 23rd, one of the earliest reserves announcements ever. Therefore, games played in January (>10 games) were used. Klay was picked by the coaches not for his October - December performances but for his team record prior to January 23rd. They called you and told you how Pop (leader of the coaches I presume) gave them instructions to vote Klay because of his team's record yet CP3 did not make it for his own team's record. Clap for yaself. Hin say list before January 1st Provide where I said "list before Jan 1st" Now run off and play somewhere to free your mind from the orgasms you thought you had defending Klay Thompson. Fans did not agree with you. Fans don't know bball. Media did not agree with you. Coaches did not agree with you. You have done a good job pushing the triangle button on your life 'cause you played yourself. 2 Likes |

NBA told coaches to select reserves from the list that had Manu Ginobili and Lonzo Ball NBA shoulda selected Ben Simmons above Dragic and Kemba since he's on the list and they weren't. Things I hear Eruditor: You came up with October to December stats, its been trounced You came up with a Jan 4th list that coaches used to select reserves, it's been trounced. Sorry, sorry, this still sounds funny in my head anytime I read it Coaches list vs FIFA's list. Oh my days Now you've come up with the bolded. Not using CP3's injury as a factor to back up Klay Thompson amazing "October to December" 3rd scoring option performances . I have a headache You see why arguing with you is fun? Anybody reading that bolded would curse... Anyways, you won't get any other quote from me. We'd just watch your Klay Thompson's All Star performances from here on... Good night, NBA family |
Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 10:39pm On Feb 10, 2018 |
Decale:The NBA don't determine the list. Fans, media and other players do.Your own logic has failed you so you have reduced the talk to absurdities. NBA shoulda selected Ben Simmons above Dragic and Kemba since he's on the list and they weren't. Things I hear The NBA decides who makes the cut following an injury. Nobody said anything about list with NBA. Present where anyone said so. I'll wait. You came up with October to December stats, its been trounced By whom and when? You played yourself. Without OCT-DEC CP3 makes the list easy. CP3 shows your Jan 23 with 10 GAMES blah blah ISSA huge lie. You came up with a Jan 4th list that coaches used to select reserves, it's been trounced. Delusion is bliss. Trounced. Sorry, sorry, this still sounds funny in my head anytime I read it Coaches list vs FIFA's list. Oh my days They constrain coaches to a vote within a list unlike the original list that players voted themselves etc. To prevent coaches from re-voting starters just to stay neutral. All around the world it is done. If logic amuses sensible men what do you think will amuse non-sensible men? Now you've come up with the bolded. Not using CP3's injury as a factor to back up Klay Thompson amazing "October to December" 3rd scoring option performances . I have a headache Preaching to the choir. I am the person who told Devan that CP3 did not make the list for that very reason. That is a player who could have made the list over Klay not PG13. Guess the months CP3 did not play in? OCT & NOV. He played most of DEC (11) and January(10 before the 24th). ASK THE COACHES WHY THEY DID NOT FACTOR HIS 10 GAMES IN JANUARY or bow to superior logic. You see why arguing with you is fun? Anybody reading that bolded would curse... Let me take this small time to just laugh at you. Anyways, you won't get any other quote from me. We'd just watch your Klay Thompson's All Star performances from here on... Maggi inside sour soup. Makes no difference to me. v v v From your link. Shabbaz Muhammed. 2 Likes

When you play poorly in the garden, you get booed, it's that simple. This is a very mobile and flexibility Cavs side. This was a beat down and a very poor defensive performance. Kind of reminds me of the loss against the Raptors when the game was over before the end of the 3rd. Credit to the Cavs, well deserved. |

Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 2:43am On Feb 12, 2018 |
The Celts really needed perimeter scoring which is why I'm surprised they did not try to get Evans in the trade deadline. The best they can get now are Belinelli and Joe Johnson who are hardly reliable perimeter scorers at this point. Defense is good but there would be nights you simply have to outscore the other team. The Raptors have learned this and now have arguably the most dynamic bench in the league. CJ Miles has been a massive steal!!! Now to the Cavs I won't get carried away with this W just yet. Their additions are still suspect defensively aside George Hill and they benefitted from terrible 3pt shooting from the C's. I will say though that the benefit of the guys they've added is the fact that they know their roles and are likelier to leave their egos at the door and play the way Lebron wants them to play. This can also work against the Cavs but unlike IT and Wade these newer set of guys should completely toe the line |

birdman: I am not sure I want to make hasty conclusions about the new Cavs but one thing I can say is that they seemed rejuvenated. The Celtics had a very poor night defending the perimeter and could not muster any kind of offense. I would wait until after some games to conclude this is the team for the eastern conference finals. |
