Hello House, please I will like to find out how a school or embassy which requests bank statement is able to verify?
Is it just by placing a call to confirm what is infront of them?
How are they able to know that the financial institution dosnt in actual fact have that money but just coniving with its client by building statements for them.
If a school doesnt detect when it asks for statement, at least the embassy should have a way to really know that the document infront of them is good or bad without those in those financial institutions? I need an advice for a friend...
Thank you.
You don't need any advise to this as it is not your business how the embassy or school verify from the bank, except if you have something to hide. Do you intend using a cooked up bank statement? If yes then be ready to get 5 year ban......

Wow!!! Want to share this great news with you guys. My parents visas have been approved. They applied on the 1st of February (Visiting visa) Need them to come help me out while i write my exams as Oga has gone back to Nigeria.

Secondly, i got a school fees waiver. I paid the same amount as a Canadian student. The University gave me the privilege and what it means is that i must maintain great grades to keep enjoying the privilege. God is too good. I am so excited.
Congratulations

Hello guys,
I have applied to a school in Canada and have completed my application but having my MBA transcript outstanding as the school is currently on strike and am currently not sure if it has been sent.

I am a married with two kids, one has the blue passport while the other has the green passport. My sponsor is my dad and the bank statement shows over 25k dollars. I have applied to a school in Canada as well as 3 schools in USA. My question is if I am eventually given the visa, when do i get to apply for my kids / husband since I didn't include them in the form as accompanying me. I felt, I should apply first before applying for my husband and kid.

Do I need to also apply for the child with the blue passport.
My husband and other kid also have 2yrs US visa.

Please advise me on both instances, Canadian Students Visa and US Students visa.

Kindly advise me. I have typed my questions several times but. I end up deleting it because am confused on what and how to ask the question. I wouldn't want anyone to shut me down. I have. Read so many things on this platform. And I have also made others join for more knowledge and contribution.

Thank you.
First, you can apply for your family immediately you get your trv but I will advise you get to Canada first then you apply for them. Yes you will have to for all of them (including them hehe one with the blue passport)...that's for Canada.

So it's not a prerequisite for study visa?
Not important but if you have you can include it but if not don't include and you won't get delayed for it

Hello everyone, thanks for all your informative questions and replies. i have just been refused visa for a PGD program in canada on grounds of finance, so i would like to know if reapplying makes sense because my sponsors are my parents, although my dad has retired, there is enough funds in the accounts of both father and mother. i also would like to know if paying my full fees of 23kcad might increase my chances and lastly, can it is possible after my reapplication another reason if brought up for my denial cause right now only the finance segment was ticked. Also any other information or tips as regards to the reapplication would be very useful. Thanks for your anticipated replies.

Really Sorry about the delay. Order your GCMS note to know specific reasons for your delay. Before then you can share your profile here for the house to advice you on what to do and wha not.

What level of study do you have? Is your prospective course of study in line with your previous academic degree? How many years is the program? What financial documents did your sponsor submit? Did your sponsor pay a semester tuition or show any financial commitment? Etc

Keep trying...go ahead and apply since they've asked you to. This stage is usually frustrating...I know just have faith and keep on trying...hopefully you would secure a supervisor before you get accepted

Cheers!!!

I applied with out a Supervisor, finally got one after sending mail to all the professors in the Faculty after 5 weeks of submitting my application. Continue dear.

Even good agents stay away from issuing fake statements when they know is Canadian embassy you are submitting it to. They freely issue fake bank statements when it has to do with USA embassy because USA embassy doesn't verify anything. Your interview happens within 3 minutes, you know your fate within 3 minutes of interview with the USA embassy. The 4, 5 months and up to a year that your application is pending with the Canadian embassy, what do you think they are doing? Sleeping? The truth is that nobody knows the true details of how they go about verifying SOA, but the truth is that they do. If the way is divulged, trust Nigerians, they will find a way to circumvent it. What I have heard is that the Canadian embassy enjoys a special privilege with the Nigerian Banks and there is a special office dedicated to authenticating bank statements submitted to it. You cannot collude with a bank official to circumvent this department. If you have genuine money with a bank and not looking to falsify stuff, whether the embassy verifies or does not do so, should be the least of your concerns.

Note: schools rarely verify SOA submitted to them as this is the work of an embassy official in the host country before a visa is issued. In fact I don't know of any Canadian school that requests SOA. Schools lack the modalities and capacities for verification. This is the work of an embassy.

They do.

Thanks for your responses Sirs,
Hi Frankrobben1, please the schools I am considering are 2, kindly pardon me for the unclarification, one in Canada and other in USA. The USA school said they accept statement from a microfinance but I am not sure their embassy will accept it even when the school accepts and I get i20 for interview. Thank you.
Just to cut in, issuance of i-20 in most cases ascertain that you have met the financial requirements for your program and the US Consulars(VO) would have very little to verify regarding your statement of account because this obligation has been given to the school prior to issuance of the i-20.

However, depending on the answers you give them during your visa interview on your financial standing and sponsorship, they MAY or MAY NOT check your documents. Key thing is that you answer any question posed to you without discrepancies in both the online formed filled and the document presented to them(i-20).The information as filled on those documents will form the bulk of the questions they will ask you. This is for confirmation of what is filled and to affirm if your purpose is genuine.

So if they school accepts the statement from the microfinance bank then most likely you MAY not face any problem regarding the statement at the embassy. Your answers to questions would be a reason to verify the documents you go with.

Regards

thank you very much but i was denied not delayed and the reason was that they believe i would nt be able to fund without working the cost of my study, maintaining my self and cost of transportation for my self and dependent although i have none. im not sure i know what the gcms note is but that was the reason i was given for denial when i picked my pasport up. Also i opted for PGD bus admin and my B.sc is in HRM. the program is for 2 years, 3 study terms and 1 term for internship, 6000 Cad was paid which is first semester tuition fees, my sponsors provided bank statements and proof of ownership for landed properties, they are willing to pay the full cost of the tuition if that would help. Sorry i just signed up today im not sure how im to share my profile Thank You

Actually, nobody here is a visa officer more so that of the Chinese embassy. So you may want to confirm from the Chinese embassy regarding the outcome of your interview if you do not understand what you were given. In my own inkling and since you were given a pickup form, it could me a positive outcome. I do not know for sure. Endeavour to either wait for their correspondence or you reach them to verify.

They do.

They do? In 3 minutes? My friend's documents were not even looked at. It was all handed to them during the interview. They only perused the documents and handed it back to him. They asked him questions and in less than three minutes, he was denied. The same thing I hear from other applicants who were denied or approved. They have special cases where if they want to grant you but have questions about your documents, they withhold them for administrative review. This is the only sets that are verified from the best of my knowledge. Regardless, this should not even be a subject matter of discussion here in my opinion, if people just simply obeyed the rules and submit authentic stuff.

I am not harsh, don't get it twisted but it is bitter to see people heart-broken just because they are ignorant that other good countries exist. When I was very active on this thread, i know many who took into consideration when I preached about Germany, they embraced the opportunity, worked toward it and they are happy studying and making euros there. if Canada isn't giving people what they wished for, please spread your tentacles. I know many who have made it to Australia, USA and Germany that are from this Canada thread then which is where they started this journey. Don't get blind-folded

Do you know about IRELAND, can i pm you

Nice. You must have a very strong CGPA for opting for direct entry into PhD. Did you secure a potential supervisor?
