Ezenwa’s Return To Training Excites Enyimba Teammates
By Adeboye Amosu

Teammates are excited as Super Eagles goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa resumed training with seven-time Nigeria Professional Football League champions Enyimba ahead of Wednesday’s CAF Confederation Cup fixture against Energie FC of Benin Republic, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Ezenwa joined the People’s Elephant during the off-season on a one -year deal after quitting rivals FC IfeanyiUbah.

The former junior international has however spent little time with the former African champions following his involvement with the home-based Super Eagles at the African Nations Championship (CHAN) and the injury he copped while in action for Nigeria at the competition.

He has now made full recovery from the injury and will now look to make his debut for the club in the coming weeks with the CAF Confederation Cup clash against Energie FC coming too soon for him.

“IK resumed training with us on Friday. We were all happy to see him in training and he got a warm welcome from all of us his fellow players and the officials,” one of his teammates Dare Ojo told CSN.

“From what I observed in training, he looks fit and sharp. One could see he has recovered fully from the injury.

“I think his return has made our team stronger as we now have three good goalkeepers, himself, Fatau Dauda and Theophilus Afelokhai.”

Ezenwa is expected to be named in the Super Eagles 25-man squad for the friendlies against Poland and Ireland later this month.

To me uduokhai is a fine quality player.he is strong, fast and can hold on to the ball.he is better than the players we have in super eagles.also deji ousman of e.Frankfurt should be used at the left back of eagles.other players that need to be given a chance are cyriel dessers, beneventure Dennis, onuacho Paul,Joel obi, sanusi Ryan, maduka okoye,Sebastian osigwe,Dominic vinicin,Karim onisiwo,Jordan ibe, kelvin akpoguma,Jordan torunarighai, nuru abdullahi, omoijuanfo ohi, junior ajayi and the Rosenberg left winger
yes sir ...and also invite all of Owerri to come play

so unfortunate he made the Dutch league move so late....had it been he moved on time...he would have been in contention for a world cup place by now.

Omaye calm down now. We've been having this discussion now for days with some of us sticking out for Uzoho until we saw those clips. You are free to be disappointed in those doubting Uzoho, just as any person who watched those clips is free to doubt him. Doubting him is the natural response from watching those clips. Nothing strange. Everyone's concern, fear, doubt or hope is legitimate in the circumstances we find our selves as per this goalkeeping issue. Those who believe in Uzoho are strong, those who don't are not weak. It's just a matter of perspective and what we desire in a goalie. Icon4s is a firm believer in experience as a criteria for choosing a goalie. He was ready to bend a little but that clip has made him tighten his grip on his beliefs. His reaction to the clip made me laugh. But look deeper and you'd see that that wasn't mere criticism, it's coming out of deep concern. It's the depth of his concern that made me laugh. Safarigirl on the other hand took everything in her stride. Normal, Bro.

perhaps you should encourage the house by dousing our fears.
Omaye? Like, you're Kogi?

Just for fun

Etebo vs Barca may as well have been a little forecast into:

- Etebo (Nigeria) vs Rakitic (Croatia)

- Etebo (Nigeria) vs Messi (Argentina)

- Etebo (Nigeria) vs Umtiti (France)

- Etebo (Nigeria) vs Busquets/Iniesta (Spain)

- Etebo (Nigeria) vs Paulinho (Brazil)

Who knows? Looolll....

One game can never be enough. He wasn't the only one who struggled in that match.

The way some of you analyze sometimes to prove an unexistent point amazes me... Concerning the words i bolded, so you can write that statement on the world wide web where people who truly watch and understand football discuss?... This is preposterous!

Now listen and listen good, go and rewatch our match against Zambia, watch the play of Shehu both in defense and in attack concentrating on the cutback in the final third which led to Iwobi's goal. That pass scored that goal that is taking us to this same world cup you want to drop him out of,..yes if not for that goal, we probably would have been out of this world cup since Algeria's game was canceled.

It is not everyday a defender wins MOTM not to talk of RB. Shehu deserve to be at the world cup because he took us there. From day one in the qualifiers, his quality was never in doubt, his wing was solid and he never gave any of our opposing wingers a free pass. In fact Shehu was so solid that when the issue of Ola Aina playing or not came up, Aina was forced to play the LB instead because Shehu could not be gambled with at the number 2 position.

Shehu even improved and posted solid performance after performance! ... He earned his position. Let Aina earn his too at the friendlies because with all the hype at hull, he is yet to do anything significant in the GWG...

Funny enough the big problem i forsee with Aina proving himself at the friendlies is Shehu grin, Shehu will not be benched for him, meaning he is stuck at our Left back until further notice.

And ur point exactly undecided

Chinedu Obasi Ogbuke, seeing this handsome dude with equally good looking Mikel prior to 2003 U17 WC was cool.

Mikel best buddy till today but injury almost ruin his career but still a good footballer, good for him to sign for Bolton and move on with his career.

Whao Enugu by parents but Kogi by birth.

In a good society you are not Enugu man but Kogi man but in Nigeria not the case cos is a society full of hatred, religion acrimony, corruption and worst of it tribalism.

No war.. We just discuss from our perspectives. Both of us belong to the same team.

Icon4s might be right that Uzoho is not yet ready because any mistake he makes in the national team could be the end of his national team career. I have always maintained that Akpeyi is not national team quality.

At the end of March, we should have clearer picture.

Yea, you're very correct, that's Nigeria for you. I'm not fully accepted by the people as a Kogite. I'm still seen as 'oma-igbo', with the prejudice and discrimination that accompanies it.
Not fully grounded on the Igbo side either, since I'm not too fluent. But I have come to terms with my predicament, must live like a bat, torn between cultures.

Your moniker triggers my curiosity though. You're Kogi too?
