Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by mcobex: 7:24am On Mar 06, 2018 |
Emmaokudu:The immigration officer might ask you for it but not compulsory. Some people are lucky to the extent they are just asked "Why are you in Canada"? and after saying "for studies" they get stamped in. So to be on a safer side go along with your proof of funds (maybe bank statement) 1 Like |

annaliese88:Yes it is to show if the sponsor can pay for subsiquent years, also the vo will like to know if the sponsor will still have enough left for himself and his dependant after giving you the said amount. Thank God you said it is your husband, so please let him submit his statement of account as well (don't worry). Also let the vo know he is your husband(marriage cert will he helpful) and also if you have any children together that will stay back with him |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by mcobex: 7:32am On Mar 06, 2018 |
Prudento:Cc: annaliese88 it is not just saying husband for mouth, she will need to show proof(marriage cert). Also if she can prove that then the husband will serve as a good home tie which will in return help her application |

Miopade:It depends on the hospital you intend using. Children's practice in Lagos (around Falomo) is the cheapest with 28k. check cic site to know the approved clinics so you can make your puck depending on your location. |

mcobex:But d proof of funds has bn submitted @ vfs? Does that mean one has to print another bank statement?? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by mcobex: 8:15am On Mar 06, 2018 |
ChuksEbube:Like I said not all immigration officers ask for that but just to be on a safer side PRINT a new bank statement(this time maybe for a month or less). |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by myelims: 9:02am On Mar 06, 2018 |
mcobex: I am not sure is a good idea. If the guy’s regular inflow doesnt reflect d kind of money put in the wife account. They might be risking LODGEMENT claim. Just my thoughts tho. If is a one year program. No point proving 2nd year sponsorship. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by myelims: 9:03am On Mar 06, 2018 |
ChuksEbube: You dont need to show proof of funds after getting your visa. They wont send you back for that. |

mcobex: Wheww... Thank you so much to everyone responding to my issue. I think we now understand the issue. The account he used to send the money is not the same as his salary account either. So maybe I will submit both (savings accoung which he used to transfer the money to me, and salary account) so they know even though the account runs to zero, he atleast has a steady source of income. |

Good afternoon sir and ma, Pls kindly give a comprehensive information about landed property. How to transfer of ownership from brother to brother or father to son or father in-laws to son in-laws etc. If I have a land of my own, what documents should I pursue that would be useful for Canada traveling. Any surveyor or experience person should give a valid details. Like me I have a landed property in Ekiti, I have a land in ogun state My father has a house in Ekiti My elder brother has a house in ekiti My brother has a house in ONDO state How do you advise to me to make use of this for landed property for travelling, but no documents on them for now I need you advise or it only landed property in the city that is being used for Canadian travelling. We need comprehensive lecturers on this, elders in the house, experienced people, surveyor, etc |

Frankrobbn1: The VO will notice you printed your SOA before paying fees. In the interest of integrity and honesty, print SOA after paying tuition fees. It goes a long way in portraying you before the VO as a person of integrity. In a nation like Nigeria viewed by the world as devoid and bankrupt in morality, the VO are always looking for elements of honesty and reliability to favorably exercise discretion on your behalf. Little things like this count and help your case. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by jnyuwa02: 2:36pm On Mar 06, 2018 |
myelims: Getting TRV is not a permission for entrance to Canada. The immigration officer at the port of entry has that final authority and can ask you anything they want and if you don't show it, legally deny you entry. I know people, albeit a tiny fraction, who were asked for evidence of their financial support. So carry it. Most questions asked at port of entry to be fair are routine. Rarely is one asked for evidence of financial support. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Vickenny: 2:42pm On Mar 06, 2018 |
annaliese88: Also show evidence of the property your husband sold, the receipts and transfer of ownership to avoid issues of lump sum |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by myelims: 3:39pm On Mar 06, 2018 |
mcobex: I understand you, but in her situation except if adequate proof that a land was actually sold can be submitted. The risk of flagging LODGEMENT is high. Many pple had ask their sponsor trasfer money to them without submitting the sponsor’s bank statement and got their TRAVEL. If She cant get adequate proof to explain that the money actually came from selling of land, I will advice they dont present the sponsors bank statement. The VO might assume LODGEMENT. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Frankrobbn1: 8:33pm On Mar 06, 2018 |
drdamy: drdamy, No atom of convincing fact is on your SOP. You don't start SOP by talking abt your interest to the school. Your points are not well articulated. Your letter of intent (SOP) for study visa should reflect the following and should be addressed in each paragraphs to avoid repetition. 1-) Describe your academic background briefly. 2-) Why you choose Canada not Nigeria. 3-) The school. 4-) The program of choice. 5-) How you intend to finance your studies in Canada without working. 6-) Home ties 7-) What you intend to achieve at the end of the program and how it might benefit you in the future(Career goals). Finally do away with the SOP you pasted, if not some folks here will plagiarise the little point you have. All the best. 3 Likes |

jnyuwa02: jnyuwa02, Once a bank statement is within the range of 1-4weeks as stated by the Canadian Embassy is valid for visa application. So, I don't see anything bad in this. Applicants have done this in the past and was successful. Well, the essence of going through this route, is to show more funds in sponsor's account. All the same your opinion is good and on a safer side. 1 Like |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Nobody: 11:02pm On Mar 06, 2018 |
drdamy: Your SOP doesnt have bite. You didnt even state the name of the school. How you'll finance your education in Canada and living expense. You didnt show passion; what motivates you and what you will benefit at the completion of your program. Pls, kindly delete your SOP to avoid plagiarism. Best of luck. |
