For those of you that are saying "this is just a friendly", we will be playing in a world class, 42,000 capacity stadium that is currently sold out. With Lewandowski and Szecesny starting, this will be Poland's most serious lineup since the qualifiers. With Mikel as an exception, we will also be playing our best men available.

This is much more than a friendly.

We need this kind of atmosphere for the tournament proper. The players won't be fazed by the atmosphere since they play in front of big crowds weekly. I will like to see how Uzoho fares .

Wow. Some of the things you read on this forum! Pls can you show me the posts where a lot of people were against Joel Obi's call up? On the contrary what me and many other knowledgeable members of this forum kept saying is that Joel Obi is our best midfielder but have been hindered by injuries. You guys should quit fabrications here because that's very annoying!

Forgiveness is right. Alot of people kicked against Joel Obi's call up.. some citing injury while others maintained that his inclusion might affect the high team spirit and bonding.

Hehehehe! grin

There was alot of resistance here at the mention of Joel Obi by my humble self and notable Mickael2 and distinguish Komekn.

Now, who takes the glory? grin

Don't forget we are still saying bring back Sone Aluko and Obafemi Martins.
No forget me grin

This was what two frustrated nairalanders had to say about our new jersey. I will advise this thread avoids front-page cheesy

. lemme hear word! Some monikers here were against the ideal of Joel Obi's call up for several reasons. Some team cohesion and chemistry, while so many others for injury. I can remember someone saying Joel Obi can even get injured in an airplane on his way to russia. some others caller him waste of slot. although nobody denied that he is not good but sir you never said Joel Obi is our best midfielder. so he's now better than Mikel abi. Why are you pained if you ain't part of them?? I'm even sure you're among! you think i have the time to be digging out old comments, when I'm still struggling to catch up with new posts.

Nigeria has never dumped Onazi. Competition is healthy.

Martz101:

Exactly; Nigerians like to use and dump, Ogu is a fantastic play with a very strong shot and he deserve to be in the squad, but Onazi has been consistent for the eagles since he made his debut.

why fix wetin no spoil?

I have downloaded the app. Can't seem to find BeIN Sport on the list of channels.

When you open the app, Click on 'sports' then click on the search icon at the top and search for 'being sports'. It will bring out the lists of bein sports channels.

I just read the statement by Jordan Torunarigha:

"The chance to play for Nigeria at the World Cup would have honored me, of course, because my father played for this country as well, but it soon became clear to me that I wanted to prove myself to the DFB. I'm new to the U21 and I really want to get my way there. "

I hope he gets to the level to play for Germany.

He is young but it will be extremely difficult for him to play for Germany..

I got to see a prediction of the outcome of our friendly with Poland on 101great goals site. Poland 3 nig 1. What interest me most is our assumed formation.
Ezenwa
Aina, balogun, ekong, shehu
Ndidi, ogu
Moses, musa (10), iwobi
Iheanacho.
Will this team loss to poland? If yes, what are the changes needed to this team list. To the great gentlemen and beautiful ladies in the house.
I would start Joel, Replace Aina a with Ebuehi and replace Shehu with Idowu. Imagine Shehu being placed at the LB instead of RB. How can Musa play 10 (AM)??
Why won't they lose

I believe apart from the usual invitees that ain't in camp now due to injury or visa issue, the only addition this team need for world Cup is Onyekuru... That dude will give ighalo a run for his position
I concur with you

Onyekuru doesn't play in lghalo's position, maybe Simon Moses or Musa.
Simon is not a striker. Even Musa would never be deployed as a striker under Rohr

Osimhen Scores In Wolfsburg Friendly Win Over Union Berlin
March 22, 2018 9:55 pm

Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen was on target for Wolfsburg who defeated Bundesliga 2 side Union Berlin 3-0 in a friendly game on Thursday.

Osimhen is not in the Nigeria squad to play World Cup friendlies against Poland and Serbia on Friday and next Tuesday.
He scored in the 81st minute of Thursday’s club friendly to make it 2-0 to Wolfsburg after William had broken the deadlock in the 73rd minute.

In the 90th minute, Blaz Kramer scored the third goal to ease Wolfsburg to victory.
The game was a tune-up match for Wolfsburg as they took advantage of the international break..

Osimhen has made 10 Bundesliga appearances for Wolfsburg so far this season without scoring.

Wolfsburg will resume Bundesliga duties with an away clash against Hertha Berlin on March 31.
