Any team can beat any team. Upset do happen.

Nigeria can stand head to head with any team. I have confidence in this team.

I don't dispute this perspective, my man, my point is. We beat Argentina because we outplayed them, great counter, great composure. Limited them to half chances.

We beat Poland because they were abysmal, the chances they managed to create were opportunities you would expect Spain, who actually rank lower, to convert. This wasn't Nigeria at their best, this wasn't Poland at their best, it was a runaway win.

Yea, let's hope that the coach isn't under pressure to win all these friendlies because I would really want to see Junior Ajayi this evening. Honestly, if I were Rohr, I won't even bother playing folks like VicMo, Ndidi, Ekong, Balogun, Onazi etc in today's game ... those positions are settled. Let's give the other players a chance to make a case for themselves. In addition, playing our reserve team would also confuse the opponent scouts.

And by the way, I was watching Russia vs France, but I got bored to death ... still goalless when I logged off sad

KPOM! I stated exactly the same thing. This Polish team would not concede a lot of goals in Russia and they will be a handful to many team. I expect them to do well.

I have watched that friendly game 3 times already and each time I realized more and more how difficult that game was for the two teams. And I think they became a little scared of our players as the game progresses as well. It was a rough rugged game by both sides.

Forget about ranking. Spain is a bigger team.. that statement got nothing to do with the latest FIFA rankings.

No way, brother, scrap sentiments and give me an unbiased view.

Man Utd is a bigger team than Man City by heritage but not on current rankings. Would you still "forget about ranking"?

We being great last year, came from behind to defeat Argentina. We being poor this month grinded out a result against an equally poor Poland. This, my man, is the undisputed fact.

That midfield was war..

That is not insane pressing by any inch, go watch Liverpool and see them choke opponents.

Poland were just abysmal.

That is trying to rob the Super Eagles off their due credit. The Poles were abysmal because of our insane pressing.

Complete Sports reported earlier that Omeruo will replace Balogun because Balogun is ruled out due to a knock he has not fully recovered from.

But now ACL Sports led by Emeka Calvin on ground in London reports that Chidozie Awaziem is set to partner Troost Ekong in defence.

So Balogun joins Iheanacho, and Etebo on the missing-in-action list due to injuries. Rest and recover well Balogun. Hello again Awaziem wink

Same here ... the brother was going hard! He knew he needs to prove himself. Yup, it was a midfield battle all day.

And did you notice how they overran our midfield once Joel Obi was taken off? And that's not to say that Onazi had a bad game either.

Your analogy is not a perfect one.. It's not like Poland has been exceptionally better than many teams in Europe.
I can walk you down the current ranking, and I hope you wont shift grounds at some point..

You missed the through pass from Pogba and goal from Mbappe just before the whistle for the end of first half then??

Not a bad decision. Let's hope that Awaziem would get a good run .... Omeruo can come in the second half.

You've given me exactly the words I expected "A Bigger Team like Spain"... Actually Poland ranks higher than Spain according to FIFA, so in other words their performance against Nigeria make you see them as a smaller team.

That only means one thing, there weren't up to par.

Very good point, but it becomes insignificant when you realize that Argentina did not play badly at all. This means Nigeria was better than them.

The case of Barcelona vs Chelsea, Chelsea played like champions to the extent that the fans were satisfied with the bashing.

In the case of Manchester United vs Sevilla, Man Utd didn't live up to expectations and Sevilla edged. Would you say United were poor or Seville were too good?

I reiterate once again, I'm in no way against my country, I'm just bringing ya'll back to earth.

That statement I bolded is inconsequential in football... Football is all about winning matches and winning trophies.

In 5 years to come, nobody remembers who " played like champions and lost" ... People and history only remember those who won.

I see that you are only concerned about good football forgetting that those with end products are the only ones celebrated when it matters most.

Also you should know that it is extremely difficult to play good football and win at the same time especially when you are by far the underdog.

Someone had already told you earlier on that we are currently punching above our weight - that should give you an idea of our current level.... Meaning that

In other words, we should accept our winnings and celebrate them however they come!!!

Yea.. Rohr should have made a double sub (Ogu coming in as well) at that point.. but glad it did not prove costly..

Nigeria starts with an all "Oyibo wall" (foreign-borns) four man back line.... grin

Ebuehi-Ekong-Balogun-Idowu

Now this is what I really call "The Oyibo Wall reloaded" cheesy

I pray Musa should play well today. The last time he top strike against SA it's ended 2:2. He lost so many begging chances they later led us by 2 goals to nil. Musa could be terribly wasteful. Although he possessed good speed with an alternating brilliance, one moment he is lively next he is annoying. Hope Vicmo go give am pass one time sha otherwise he go tanda offside tire.

this one is hiding upandan for friendlies, make dem dey open Argentina yansh small small

When it is time for the main koko, all of them will disintegrate like a pack of cards, he thinks World Cup is CONMEBOL qualifiers that he can do last minute trickery. Thank God say na we dem go meet last, no road for Messi this time
dontyou think Sampaoli is doing something pyschological to the mind of the Argentine team by getting them to play to win even without Messi such that when they have built up that mentality Messi will now be the bomb? is it not possible that he is trying to know the weakest baseline of the Argentine team and getting them to work on it? this is why i am happy that Mikel is absent. we don't know our baseline as such(except the gk issue)and that's why i would have preferred rohr to rest Ekong or Balogun and field either Awaziem or Omeruo. oncea team can cope with its weakest baseline that team will be tough to beat.

Chief, I never used feminists as a yardstick or said that the NFF has any vendetta, personal or public, I am putting it to just inefficiency and lack of competence.

About this male soccer issue, how many male soccer local leauge games have full stadiums ? Or is watched by multitudes ?

You gave a great example, your gf follows european soccer, but did not watch the Women AFCON final game, that is what you call a convertable sale, she just needs to identify with them and she will be a fan, there are more women like your gf(my earlier point)

I love the Super Eagles to death, but let us be honest with ourselves, with the stars on both our National teams(Super Eagles and Super Falcons) and the world competition they both will face at both their world cups, the Super Falcons have a better chance of playing at the finals of the world cup before the Super Eagles, so who needs the efficient planning and preparation more or simple give the best returns ?

Now lets get back to today's game. Good day chief.
