If the boy was fully fit and his performance was below par then you can talk of double standards. You are still overlooking a crucial point which is that he lacked full fitness. Yes, He played for 90 minutes. How does that change the fact that he lacked full fitness? Who would have subbed him? Shehu who had injury? Aina who was already subbed for Idowu? I like looking at things from broad angles.

This can easily be misread as defence of the young man but to close one's eyes to the glaring fact that he was not fully fit is to level criticism that - in my opinion - is unfair.

He didn't play well. He was not fully fit. That is balanced criticism in the context of the match.

Saw the last 15minutes of last nights game and to say i wasnt disappointed is me lying to myself.
We cant hold the ball to save our lives, we cant string together two-three passes, there wasnt any connect between defence-midfield-attack.

Rohr should sort out the midfield ASAP and choose his best formation.
We need a striker biko, if Rohr needs a striker to hold the ball and bring others to play then i prefer Ideye to Ighalo in that role biko.

Friendly matches are suppose to be an avenue to test new players and possibly carry out a substitution by elimination approach to games but I observed yesterday Rohr was playing to win by bringing in players he would have put earlier on to assess late. we all know how iwobi, ighalo, Ndidi, musa or Moses play and we wanted to see Gabriel, Ajayi, Stephen Eze, etc so they can be verified if some of them can even perform better than the main 11. How are we sure if given enough chance an Ajayi wouldn't do better than an Ighalo who always needs 100 chances created before he can score one goal? You don't aim to win all your friendly matches by using 70 or 80 percent of your starting 11. since we know your first 11, experiment on new players to see if there's anyone that will perform better than the regular so you can draft in such a player into your first team while you drop those who are complacent to the bench.
