Ebere Eze On Target In 4-1 Demolition Of Norwich City www.nairaland.com/attachments/6921580_ebereezescores_jpeg09bc920e972a8f401bcc872b8fefe55c Ebere Eze Scores (courtesy QPR) Nigerian wonderkid Ebere Eze was on the scoresheet as Rangers come from behind to batter Norwich 4-1 at Loftus Road on Easter Monday. The 19 year old was at his brilliant best producing a classy first half display showing as usual his flashes of skill and brilliance before capping it up with a superb goal in the 2nd half. The hosts had gone behind in the first half through an own goal as Nelson Oliviera was adjudged to have gotten the final touch towards the target for the visitors. But QPR responded inside 90 seconds when Massimo Luongo poked home into the bottom corner inside the box to even scores at 1-1. Another brilliant youngster Matt Smith rose highest to head Rangers in front, before Nigerian Ebere Eze produced a classy low finish from close range after being teed up by Smith to make it 3-1. The youngster latched onto Smiths headed down ball from Scowen’s long ball and then held off Ivo Pinto before slotting past Gunn in goal for Norwich The Rampant Rangers didn’t stop there, however, as Ryan Manning got in on the act with a glancing header from Jake Bidwell’s pinpoint cross to kill off the game completely as a contest. It’s the first time this season that QPR have scored 4 goals in a match. Ebere has been in phenomenal form for QPR since returning back from a short loan spell at Wycombe Wanderers and has now scored 2 goals for the Rs Calls continue to come in from fans of the Super Eagles for the youngster who trained with the Super Eagles in March 2017 to be included in the World Cup squad http://www.soccerassembly.com/ebere-eze-target-4-1-demolition-norwich-city/ 1 Like |

Joebie: He will learn that through the process... Telling him not to go for it will look as if one is blocking his ambition. Nigeria politics is crazy though |

tbaba1234: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zX3qj-vgl44 If so why is he considered a legend in Granada? Benzema is a prime example of a striker who does other things right apart from scoring. The fact is if u do the right things the goals will always come. 1 Like |

tbaba1234:Agreed Kanu was not a top striker but Daniel Amokachie, Samson Siasia,Osaze,Segun Odegbami,Emmanuel Amuneke were not top strikers in eagles even Stephen Keshi and they have good goal ratio. Kanu goal ratio for eagles was damn too poor, check it out 5 afcons as super regular no goal,3 WC no goal. I don't think being a supporting striker should be a yardstick to justify Kanu poor goal ratio in eagles. Kanu overall contribution was awesome but goal ratio not good to talk about. 3 Likes |

BascoVanVeli:You have chewed the kolanut on ALL the right spots. I love the way you put it: to play striker now for SE is just to suffer. I repeat only strikers of the past (except Messi or one or two other players) can play in this present team and score goals in the absence of Mikel. Watch Weah, Ronaldo de Lima, Owen, Shearer dribble from the center or from around the box to score. If an attacker does what Owen did to score against Argentina at France 98 they will say he's selfish. 2 Likes |

Mujtahida: Andy Johnson played in a terrible crystal palace team but was still one of the highest scorers in the league. A good scorer will take advantage of the scraps fed to him and yes sometimes scorers had to be selfish. Alan Shearer scored plenty goals out of nothing and smashed goals from distance, He did not have to run with the ball to score than many goals. 1 Like |

tbaba1234:. This is the same mentality the English used in grabbing our players, thereby caging them and putting their international futures on a standstill. Just look at Tammy and the rest. Now what if Eze is capped by Nigeria and the same thing happens to him? What if he plays just one game for us and doesn't get to play again just because we were too impatient and fast to get him on our side. What happens then? Sometimes we should learn to be unselfish and also think of the players. If picking Scotland over us will favour him better and get him more games,I'm okay with that. It might not be good for the SE team but his own success and happiness should also be thought of at some point because he's a Nigerian and we all should wish him the best. 9 Likes |

Eze should be given a call up for that number 10 role in our next friendlies though not majorly with Russia in sight. We need make him have that sense of belonging. That kid is good. But if he makes most of the opportunity, wow I just want a creative midfield in the absence Mikel pre Russia, in Russia and post Russia. |

BascoVanVeli:Lemme hop in here. I'm glad you mentioned Benzema... Ighalo has never, and I cant smell him doing or playing the kind of striker role that KB does for Madrid. Why? Cos on top of creating very vital chances and drawing players to himself, he has goals too that he worked out himself and then his shot at goal rate, however less successful is far better than what Ighalo does in the GWG. In fact, so far, Ideye is the closest SE striker by comparism with Benzema and no one else currently. If Ighalo can increase his shot outside the box and become a household name for it, and his positioning, maybe, just maybe I can start comparing. They are far different in style. Ighalo loves danger play in the opposite box and it's not been fruitful so far. Most times KB is not even in the box when Madrid attacks, always somewhere in midfield, but gbam, he scores and you wonder how he got there so far unnoticed. He however has many missed chances than Ighalo would ever have in his career if he prolonged it for another 50years of play, and that's why KB gets me pissed off. |
