England as a country was not under Rome, it is the Church that is in communion with Rome, when King Henry was disallowed from taking a second wife he took over the Catholic Church in England by force and named it "Church of England", he killed anyone who disagreed with him, banned Catholics from celebrating mass and killed a lot of priests and tens of thousands of Catholics.

This is where we need discernment, for what reason are we to make supplications? Why did God condemned praying on behalf of His people during Jeremiah's day and why must Jesus wait to see those who will remain in His teachings before praying on their behalf? We believe God's word isn't against itself so what's the balance view for accuracy? Well i'll answer first so then you can explain how Proverbs 28:9,Jeremiah 14:11,14:11 and John 17:8/9. Christians need to pray always so that any activity or event organized by either the rulers or their subjects won't hinder the work Jesus commanded them to do. But offering prayers on behalf of unrepentant and rebellious humans who despises God's word is unacceptable before God. So we can pray to God to divert their thoughts from organizing anything that could affect our ministry! Apostacy is very common in the church and many pastors are apostates,many people follow a pastor because of gifts;the book of matt7:15-20,the verse 20 says by their fruits you shall know them,look at the fruits in the life of a pastor;Gal5:22-23 because a pastor with good fruits will never be an apostate
The types of pastors are:
1.successors(aropo oruko):they are common starting from the old testament which we see in the life of Eli(1sam2:12-17) and samuel(1sam8:3) and Aaron.God never called their sons but their fathers yet they go into ministry.
2.Circumstances(iyalende):these are people led by situations into ministry,they just go to a seminary,graduate and declare themselves pastors.
3.profession or retirement(alayojuran):when the church sees that this person can speak good english and is a doctor,they annoint them,that is why there are so many Rev(dr)s.
4.business ninded(alatise)these are those who go into pastoring because of money.some were even called as envagelist but decided that prophets were making money and declared themselves prophets(Gehaz(2kings5:20-23).
5.Apostates and heretics(apeyinda):they Knew the truth once but discovered that people do not want to hear the truth(2 tim4:3-4),they divert to heresies.Most of them are motivational speakers today.
6.Half baked(afarajoruko):they ere called but were not patient to be trained by God.
7.untutored(Alaileko):They are lifted up with pride because of their educational achievements and refuse to be tutored.
8.pirates(Eleda):they were not called by God and dont have the holy spirit but search on the internet for sermons and copy it to preach to church menbers
9.stick to the master(jesus) in truth:they are few but always say the truth no matter how hard or bitter it is(2 tim4:5.)
JW fall into the category of apostates and they have no repentance because luke9:62 says no man having put his hand on a plough and look back is fit for the kingdom of God,where do you belong?

There were several well established Schools of thought in Israel before Jesus of Nazareth began His preaching and teaching campaign, initially all those established religious groups are rivals because they all claim to believe in the Hebrew Aramaic scriptures(Old Testament) but they have contradicting and conflicting theories that's making people greedier,Jesus started as a successor of John but instead of seeing Him and His followers just as another religious group in the making, all those former rival groups formed Alliance against Jesus and His followers. The reason is because God's people practicing pure worship always claim to be the one and only group worshipping our God! So before condemning a religious group as false one should be careful not to form alliance with different surrounding religions Who's doctrines and yours aren't in agreement.Moreover one shouldn't just say "they're against our religion so we too must be against them" that's the Spirit that dwells in the heart of those who killed Jesus!

Jehovah is the one all faithful men practicing pure worship witnessed for right from Abel till today.Hebrew 11:3-23,12:1 Jesus Himself witnessed for Jehovah.Revelation 1:5 It's the translators who rendered the divine name as Lord that caused the confusion, you can listen to yourself quoting God's word in the English spoken some 200 years ago "thy" "thee" "behold" whereas if you should write it down like that for an English man today he'll examine your brains! That's exactly the intention of the translators who were supporting the tradition of the Churches, they want to keep people under their tradition. So where ever you found the word Lord in capital letters in the Old Testament it's Jehovah they're referring to, of course when they now quote the same text in the New Testament there still talking about the same person but the translators are the ones you should go and arrest! Psalm 110:1-3 compared to Act 2:29-36 There Peter quote David that Jesus was made a Lord by someone greater than Jesus of course that's Jehovah!

You are right-if they attract them with food, people need to be sustained with food, always, this is one of my main reasons why I couldn't settle in one Church, was I felt-the Church pastors, were not sustained enough to feed me the Word of God.
Sadly enough this is happening, and the small few of true believers in Church are not being fed, mainly because the Pastor is now focused to please men, rather then he himself is pleasing God.

From such withdraw yourself-Wrong doctrines are causing disputes and arguments, among the believers to leave the Church.
