I do not think many saw Uzoho as the best choice. I think he is seen as a breath of fresh air compared with Ezenwa and Akpeyi. I still insist hence the Goalkeeping crisis lingers, invite Aiyenugba, Alampasu, Akpeyi, Ezenwa, Ajiboye and conduct a fair screening process. Pick the best and go to the World Cup with the best.

Finito.

Before the last 2 friendlies most here saw him as the best choice!

Some started having a change of mind after tbaba posted his club videos here.

We need to tell ourselves the truth. Francis Uzoho is not our best choice to the WC.

There is fair play, westham used it to play in the Europa some seasons back, burnley is playing in Europa league next season

Fair play means team with less caution like yellow and red card

But if Southampton win the fa cup burnley will not make the Europa league.

The fair play rule has been scrapped, just wanted to be sure you know what fair play mean, the 5th and 6th qualif then the FA cup winner and league cup winner too

Height does not automatically make a good keeper... Casillas, Barthez.... were not particularly tall.

My impression of Ejide in 2014 was that he had depreciated badly.. Some of the goals conceded were poor. This is 4 years later.

Aiyenugba would be my choice.. In fact, i will take Aiyenugba just in case we get to any penalty shoot out... You are sure that he will save a few. Best Penalty keeper, Nigeria has.

Stop this unnecessary hype, Cassilas is 6ft 1 and for bathez we saw how calamitous he was at his later stage in his career, dele is not even up to 6ft.

Ejide was always ahead of him through out their career in the GWG, at some some point Ejide was the number 1 and let me remind you, penalty is a lottery, I have seen Enyeama save up to 3 out 5 penalty and when they started they said he was poor in that area.

To be fair Rohr need to invite them both and see them first hand and see if they still have it in them

Finally we must field a first choice at the WC... Be it either of the Deles (Alampasu or Aiyenugba), be it Ezenwa or Akpeyi, Be it Ajiboye or Uzoho...

We must field goalie oooo.... Come rain, come sunshine.. Come thunderstorms... Even if na Sir Tbaba1234's college soccer experience we go use... So be it! cheesy

Ejide WAS. This is someone who could not get a club for almost a year and only managed to land in a second tier Israeli side. Let’s face the reality, today, Dele has had far more better tests and has been consistent in the Israeli top flight. We are not inviting the keepers of yesterday but today. Current form wise Dele is CLEARLY the better keeper.

Barthez depreciated and it has nothing to do with height. Have you watched petr Cech this season? His height has not saved him from being poor.

My point is that Ejide had already depreciated in 2014. I do not expect him to be much better in 2018. As it stands right now, i think Aiyenugba is a better keeper.

As regards penalties, Aiyenugba is a fantastic penalty stopper. Some keepers are good at stopping penalties, others are not.. Saving penalties is not a lottery. I would rather have Aiyenugba in goal for penalties than Petr Cech who has an awful penalty saving record.

Back to the issue of height, Cassilas is not much taller than Aiyenugba. Aiyenugba is 5 11... just 1 inch off 6 ft. Same height as Barthez. Enyeama at 6ft can not be said to be a tall keeper.

Bros being a good penalty keeper is just a bonus and nothing more, why didn't Aiyenugba displace Enyeama all through his career with his penalty skills, there is so much involve in goal keeping, you really need to be very athletic and good to be a short and good keeper. If Ejide was finished since 2014 then I ask when last did you see Aiyenugba play??

We do not have Enyeama now and i think Aiyenugba is ahead of what is on ground.

I got u. So there was no point making reference to the past comparing both keepers.

Akpeyi has had his chances again and again.
Maybe he doesn’t have much confidence because of where he plighs his trade.

At the end of the day, we’d have to choose the better devil.

I believe in Uzoho too.... Just saying that in the end, we have to make a decision... Rohr has to make a decision that we must all live with when Russia 2018 begins... We would have a first choice goalie at the mundial but bloody who??

Anyway, we got 55 days 2 hours and 55 mins now to the mundial... Time will tell.

Chelsea Hail MOTM Moses After Starring Role In Burnley Win

Nigeria star Victor Moses has received praise from Chelsea after being named man of the match in Thursday’s 2-1 Premier League win against Burnley at Turf Moor, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Moses, who scored the Blues’ winning goal in the encounter in the 70th minute after stabbing home Emerson Palmieri’s cross, also had a hand in the first with Kevin Long diverting his cross into the net.

“That was a fantastic performance from the Blues and a deserved three points. Victor Moses, with an assist and the winning goal, was the star man, but everyone performed admirably against tough opposition. Back-to-back wins is the perfect preparation for Wembley on Sunday,” the former Premier League champions wrote on their official Twitter handle after the game.

The former Wigan Athletic star has featured in 25 league games for Chelsea this season and registered three goals.
He looks good to retain his position in the Chelsea’s starting 11 for Sunday’s Emirates FA Cup semi-final clash against Southampton at the Wembley Stadium.

Antonio Conte’s men, who trailed fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur by 10 points last week, have now narrowed the gap to five points in the chase for a UEFA Champions League spot.

Al Ahly Set To Reject Offers For Junior Ajayi
By Adeboye Amosu

Egyptian giants Al Ahly are keen to hold on to Nigeria forward Junior Ajayi and will reject offers for him in the summer, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Ajayi, 22, has attracted interest from a number of top European clubs following an impressive campaign for Al Ahly in which has scored nine goals and recorded 10 assists in 26 appearances.

According to a report in Egypt online news outlet, m.youm7.com, Ahly are not prepared to sell Ajayi after allowing Abdullah Al Saeed, one of the team’s top performers this seaaon, to join Kuopion Palloseura of Finland.

Al Ahly, according to the report, also hold the former Shooting Stars player in high esteem because of his versatility as he is the only forward in the team who can play in a number of attacking positions.

Ajayi joined Al Ahly from Tunisian outfit CS Sfaxien in 2016 after scoring 10 goals in 28 appearances in his time at the club.
His impressive showing for Al Ahly has also earned him international recognition as he received his first invitation to the Super Eagles for last month’s friendlies against Poland and Serbia.
The forward who was part of Nigeria U-23 side that won bronze at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games will be hoping to make the final squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

It's not a silly line.

We are a family of sorts and for quite some time even if I don't agree with you most times. You can have sisters that can be a pain but they are still your sister.

In that context I expected those who are more ameniable to you. To immediately without delay offer to help.

You are not begging by any stretch of the imagination.

I am serious even if putting it in the diction of humour.

I was expecting you to say, Praise God somebody has decided to bless me and hopefully anonymously. But that doesn't seem to have happened.

In this regard I am very disappointed.

I thought it was an act of great humility and integrity for you to have shared that situation with us here. Most would pretend that all is well and that they have no lack and are rolling in ££$$. That for me is most impressive and makes me look at you positively differently.

So I still expect our guys here to answer thier names, joke no deh. It's certainly not SILLY.
I apologise for going off on you then.

Sorry about the misunderstanding
