Like seriously... Who do you think will be best for Arsenal also as regards the Impact this would have on Iwobi's career growth at Arsenal?

(Or should I sepate the question into two... Like 1). Who dobyou think is best for Arsenal.. 2). Who will be best as regards Iwobi? )

Tuchel... Rogers... Vieira... And what about Joachim Low? (If he decides to leave the Germany job perhaps... Will that even happen? Lol )

Or will it be this man smiling below? Allegri?

I'll love the current Monaco coach, Rodgers is shi.t I no want am for my team

Safarigirl's apology is the most beautiful thing I've read on Nairaland today... hats off to you...

Meanwhile, there are rumours that Arsenal have agreed terms with Brendan Rodgers to replace Wenger.... if it's true,Iwobi might still get to stay at the emirate... Rodgers might b a shite coach, but he is a firm believer in talent...

I disagree with Rodgers being a poor coach. There is always this kind of notions spread by the media that people buy. Rodgers is a genius of the game and will continue the brilliant football Arsene built at Arsenal. The only challenge is the competition in the EPL is so high that winning the league now looks close to impossible if a Manager does not get the other factors right.

Uzoho isn't better than any of those 2, but has the prospect of being better. He's taller and younger too.

I do not think people thought Francis Uzoho was our best choice. I think the general opinion is, he is better than Akpeyi and Ezenwa. I agree with that.

Is it only me or is anyone else monitoring the progress of Tom Dele Bashiru of Mancity? He's about the only Anglo Nigerian in the City ranks, that has openly said it will be an honour and a dream come true to some day pull on the GWG.

He is a beast in the midfield and he's alrdy played for the first team against Leicester City. The city faithfuls view him as the heir to their legend(Gnagneri)

One to keep an eye on.

List of midfielders I'm monitoring;

1. Ebere Eze
2. Ovie Ejaria
3. KC Nwakali
4. Tosin Kehinde
5. Dele Bashiru
6. Jack Ipalibo
7. Kingsley Michael etc

RUSSIA 2018 WATCH: These 5 Super Eagles Foes Are In Good Form

With two months to the start of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia,
Completesportsnigeria.com’s ADEBOYE AMOSU here highlights the performances of Nigeria’s group opponents’ key men for their respective clubs ahead of the mundial…

LIONEL MESSI (Argentina and Barcelona)
The undisputed leader of Argentina Lionel Messi will head to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia in good form despite his Spanish club Barcelona’s shocking exit from the UEFA Champions League.
The 30-year-old has so far featured in 49 games for Barcelona this season and has bagged 39 goals with 16 assists.
The Super Eagles defence have to be extra sharp to keep the tricky Messi, who has always been on the winning side against Nigeria, in check.

GONZALO HIGUAIN (Argentina and Juventus)
Another fearsome forward in the Argentina team, Gonzalo Higuain has enjoyed a fine season with Italian club Juventus. Argentina coach Jorge Sampaoli will look up to the reliable forward alongside the duo of Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero to deliver the goods for his side in Russia.
So far, the former Real Madrid and Napoli striker has netted 22 goals with eight assists from 43 games in all competitions this season.

MARIO MANDZUKIC (Croatia and Juventus)
A versatile forward who can also play on the wings, the 31-year-old is one of the stars of the Croatia national team.
Mandzukic is mostly used as a winger by his Italian club Juventus and has featured in 37 games in all competitions for the Biaconneri this season, scoring nine goals and has bagged three assists.
He showed his predatory instincts by scoring two goals for Juventus in their 3-1 Champions League win against Real Madrid.

IVAN PERISIC (Croatia and Inter Milan)
A world-class winger who was courted in the summer by English Premier League giants Manchester United. Ivan Perisic has made 34 apperances for Inter Milan in all competitions this season, bagging 10 goals with nine assists.
Super Eagles defenders will have to be at their best to stop this skilful and pacy winger at the mundial.

LUKA MODRIC (Croatia and Real Madrid)
The elegant midfielder is one of the best in his position in the world. Luka Modric, who at times has been hampered by injuries this season, has featured 36 times for European champions Real Madrid and has hit the back of the net twice with six assists to his name.

Eguavoen: Balogun, Troost-Ekong Key To Super Eagles World Cup Success

Former Super Eagles captain and coach Austin Eguavoen believes Nigeria’s Russia 2018 World Cup success will depend on Leon Balogun and William Troost-Ekong’s form, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The defender at USA 94 World Cup posited that the Super Eagles would need the central defence duo to be on top of their game if the team is to make any appreciable impact at the Mundial.

He said while Gernot Rohr can depend on Mikel Obi’s wealth of experience to anchor the midfield, Balogun and Ekong are World Cup debutantes whose roles require lots of hard work.

“BalogTroost-Ekong are two of my favourite defenders by all standard and I believe they did put in a lot to ensure Nigeria qualified for Russia 2018 World Cup,” Eguavoen told CSN.

“But we will need them in their best form if Nigeria must do well at the World Cup, because every good team that does well at the Mundial is known to parade tested defenders who commit few fouls and do clean jobs.

“Every department has its role to play but I think we will be alright if our defenders can give the goalkeeper the right cover.”
The 1994 Africa Cup of Nations-winning defender further enjoined Nigerians to rally behind Rohr in his quest to succeed at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

“Rohr is doing a great job and deserves our support. Like I keep saying, Nigeria’s qualification will open more business opportunities to everyone and it will even get better if the Super Eagles do well in Russia,” Eguavoen added.

Lokosa: I Can Help Solve Super Eagles’ Striker Problem
April 21, 2018 10:22 am

Kano Pillars forward, Junior Lokosa, has hit the ground running in the Nigeria Professional Football League this season, scoring 15 goals in 16 games.

In this interview with Completesportsnigeria.com’s (CSN) ADEBOYE AMOSU, the 24-year old speaks about his humble beginning and his desire to play for the Super Eagles at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia…

###CSN: Junior, there have been conflicting reports about your nationality, some say you are a Togolese. To some, you are a Beninoise, can you clear the air on this?

That’s a bit funny and interesting. Well, like you said, this is a big chance for me to clear the air on my nationality and set the record straight.
Junior Lokosa is a Nigerian, a Lagos boy from Badagry. I guess that settles the conflicting reports, like you said.

###You have no doubt made a name for yourself in the Nigeria Professional Football League this season, what has the journey been like?

It has been tough like most African kids who started playing football on the streets. Unlike some kids who never enjoyed the support of their parents, mine was different.
Myself and my young brother who currently plays for a club in Egypt – I can’t remember the name now, enjoyed the support of our parents and that gave us the confidence to push hard, determined to make it in the game.
I grew up in Ajegunle Lagos and you know what it means to live in that kind of vicinity. We see football as something that can give us a better life as it has happened to some people in the past.

###What has the journey been like for you, from playing for First Bank in the Nigeria National League then to becoming the number one striker for Kano Pillars?

I must confess it has been tough but the grace of God has kept me going. You know what it takes in this part of the world to become a footballer, lots of hardwork and luck.
But I have always believed in myself: that I could cut it at the highest level of the game. I joined Kano Pillars from First Bank during the second half of last season.
It was like moving to Barcelona, Real Madrid or Bayern Munich for me.
The fans are passionate about the game and it is a beautiful place to play football.

###How were you able to settle down in the team especially with experienced strikers like Gambo Mohammed and Adamu Hassan ahead of you in the pecking order back then?

Last season was like a learning process for me. I must thank the older guys for helping me settle down in the team. Kano was quite different from Lagos in a lot of ways.
The weather can be very cold and at times extremely hot. But as I be Ajegunle Boy man must double up (long laughter).

I don’t see myself as a finished article yet and it is always important to stay humble and learn from the older and more experienced guys even though you are playing ahead of them.

###You have hit the ground running in the NPFL this season with 15 goals in 16 games. Was it your target at the beginning of the campaign or has it happened by providence?

As a striker , you live to score goals. Scoring goals gives you confidence. Scoring in consecutive games early in the season gave me the confidence to push for more.

###Do you see yourself breaking Mfon Udoh’s 23-goal mark all -time scoring record in one season in the NPFL?

It will be nice to do that, but that is not the most important thing on my mind at the moment. I want to be a Nigeria Professional Football League champion with Kano Pillars and I believe that is more important than chasing after an individual honour.

###You must have been receiving a lot of calls from agents trying to lure you to foreign clubs?

Sure, they have been bombarding my phone with calls, saying a lot of nice things to me. I’m happy at Pillars and I don’t want to rush things.
When the right time comes, I will move abroad, but for now my soul and heart is with Pillars.

Sometimes, I wonder where all these agents are when I was nobody. I have seen players do well in the league, rushed out of the country and later regretted their action. I don’t want to make the same mistake.

###Do you think you are good enough to play for the Super Eagles at the moment?

Bros you are funny o. One of the reasons why I’m playing football is because I want to wear that green and white of Naija(long laughter).
If I get the call to come and play for the team, I will gladly honour it. It will be a dream come true for me. Another AJ boy playing for the Super Eagles will be something else for people to read.

###There have been several calls for you to be included in the Super Eagles ahead of the World Cup…

(Cuts in) I can’t determine if I’m good enough to play for the Super Eagles or not. If the fans believe in my ability and see me as a good prospect, that’s fine.
But the biggest decision lies with the coaches. Irrespective of what you are doing at your club or what the fans are saying, they will not be the one to determine your fate.

###Do you see yourself solving the Super Eagles’ striker problem at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia if given the opportunity?

I have confidence in my ability and I believe I can do a good job for the team. There are other established strikers in the team at the moment but I believe I can help make the team stronger.

Musa: I’d Rather Stay At CSKA Moscow Than Return To Leicester

Super Eagles forward Ahmed Musa is keen to stay at Russian Premier League club CSKA Moscow either on loan or on permanent basis next summer, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

The Leicester City star, on loan at CSKA Moscow, maintained that he is likely to stay on in Russia where he gets more action rather than warm the bench at The Foxes.
“Go back to Leicester? I’m enjoying my game here and I’ve enjoyed more playing time here too. It’s better to stay here and play regularly than warm the bench,” Musa told CSN in a chat.

The former Kano Pillars winger was on target as CSKA forced Ufa to a 1-1 draw in the Russian Premier League on Sunday at the Stadion Neftyanik.
Sunday’s outing was the fifth in the league for Musa who made a loan switch from Leicester City to CSKA Moscow during the last transfer window.

The 25-year-old Nigeria international played for CSKA between 2012-2016 before he joined Leicester to bolster their squad for an ultimately failed defence of their fairytale Premier League triumph.
Before his transfer to Leicester City, Musa enjoyed a hugely profitable spell at CSKA, scoring 54 goals in 168 games and helping the club win three league titles as well as a Russian Cup and two Russian Super Cups.

Sadiq: I Turned Down Serie B Clubs To Join Breda
April 21, 2018 11:00 am

Nigerian striker, Umar Sadiq, has revealed why he turned down several teams from the Italian Serie B to join Dutch Eredivisie side NAC Breda in January, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Sadiq, 21, a loanee at Breda from Serie A side AS Roma, has scored five goals in 11 Eredivise games since he joined the West-Brabant club.

“I could have stayed in Italy and be loaned to clubs from the Serie B. I did not want to, there were several options on the table from different countries, but when my agent said I could go to NAC Breda, my decision was made. The league looked like a nice new challenge,” Sadiq told elfvoetbal.nl in an interview.

“It was good decision to take the step to play in another country last winter.
“I was given a guided tour (of facilities) at NAC Breda, they wanted to show me everything, very nice, but I immediately said ‘No, they do not have to, I want to play here. I do not care about the facilities.”
The former Torino player also remains confident that NAC Breda will avoid relegation at the end of the season with two games left to play.

NAC Breda are 15th in the 18 team Eredivisie league with 30 points from 32 games, three points above the relegation play-off spot.

Roda JC Kerkrade and Sparta Rotterdam occupy the two relegation play-off spot in 16th and 17th poisition. They are tied on the same points with Roda JC Kerkrade, but with a superior goal difference.
“Preferably, as soon as possible, I pray NAC belongs in the Eredivisie at the end of the season,” Sadiq told elfvoetbal.nl in an interview.

Sadiq has scored five goals in 11Dutch Eredivise games since he joined the West-Brabant club.
NAC Breda will host SC Heerenveen in their next game.

Nwakali: I Want To Play For Arsenal But Wenger Will Decide

MVV Maastricht midfielder, Kelechi Nwakali, who is on loan from Arsenal, says he is in no position to determine his future but would be waiting on Arsene Wenger to give him a chance when pre-season gets underway in the summer, Completesportsnigeria.com can report
Former Golden Eaglets player Nwakali revealed that his biggest wish in the upcoming season would be to break into the star-studded Arsenal side in the summer, but he would have to wait on Wenger to decide his fate.
Nwakali further revealed that encouraging words from compatriot Alex Iwobi have given him the right mentality and belief that his Arsenal dream can come true, if he continues to work hard.
The Chile 2015 U-17 World Cup-winning captain said he is looking forward to live that Arsenal dream next summer, adding that he is ready to accept the stiff competition for places at one of the biggest clubs in the world, if given the chance.
“I love to play for Arsenal next season but coach Arsene Wenger would have to decide that, it is not in my position to decide my fate in the summer,” Nwakali told CSN.
“MVV Maastricht have helped out in developing my career and I have had a nice season here but Arsenal is a great side and it will be an honour to wear that jersey next season, but I cannot really determine if I will be staying back at MVV Maastricht next season or not.”
The Arsenal youngster’s second loan spell at the Dutch second-tier outfit ends this season.
Nwakali is tied to Arsenal until the summer of 2021. MVV Maastricht are ninth in the table with 49 points from 36 matches.

Stop this unnecessary hype, Cassilas is 6ft 1 and for bathez we saw how calamitous he was at his later stage in his career, dele is not even up to 6ft.

Ejide was always ahead of him through out their career in the GWG, at some some point Ejide was the number 1 and let me remind you, penalty is a lottery, I have seen Enyeama save up to 3 out 5 penalty and when they started they said he was poor in that area.

To be fair Rohr need to invite them both and see them first hand and see if they still have it in them
Sir if we want to base it on height then better to take Uzoho,Alampasu and Akpeyi to WC cos they are above six ft.

Pls have you asked yourself why 5ft 11 Enyeama was always picked ahead of Ejide.Truly Ejide was ahead of Dele in the eagles even in 2008 ahead of Enyeama.

Sir seen Ejide physically not even in goalposts showed a good keeper cos his height is intimidating and this gave him an edge over Enyeama in 2008 cos Vogts believe in his height but when we talk of rudiments of goalkeeping forget it Enyeama is a top notch and Dele is even better than Ejide.

I think Ejide and Dele stats are their for us to see since they left Africa shore for professional career in Europe and mind you tbaba1234 was even saying Ejide has been stagnant since 2014 and Dele keep on maintaining his form, hope you know that the same Ejide was clubless for almost two season.

Check it out, their Europe professional career, Ejide had 220 caps(2006-2018)still counting with Bastia,Hapoel takia, sherva and Hadera with no European cup experience while Dele Aiyenugba had 372 caps(2007-2018)still counting with Yehuda Bnei and Hapoel Ashkelon with Europa cup playoffs experience.

Presently Ejide play in Isreali second tier while Dele is in Isreali premier league.

Pls with this whom w you picked as likely solution to our goalkeeping problem though i want to see the two in camp to slug it out with other keepers

Oh watching Kalu Samuel and Peter Olayinka they are better than Simeon Moses and Ahmed Musa but they just need to wait after WC cos Rohr don't just change his team except there is crisis.

Rodgers is a shite manager abeg... throughout his 3 years at anfield, the only noticeable thing he did was almost winning us the league in 2014.. it was his poor tactics and not Gerrard's slip that cost us the league self... He signed players he couldn't manage....Aspas,Markovic,Sahin,Lallana .. not to talk of Lambert and Balotelli...

Don't let his current success at Celtic fool you, the Scottish league has always been a piece of cake for Celtic....

You last statement says it all... Rohr is not looking at Changing players but work with tactics that suit his current players and opponent..

But he might want to appease some Oga at the NFF to definitely drop them without using them... Like the way he has been doing
