See this idiot. Just as you are celebrating your biafran invasion of Midwest are you also mourning the massacres of your invading soldiers by local civilian resistance that arise? Local indigenes began to rebel against the biafran soldiers killing many of them so by the time Nigerian army arrived Benin City most biafran soldiers were dead and the rest fled.

Fools.

Go and take Gelegele first before I can engage you ...that's if the ijaw wouldn't do the second invasion..

I've always known you are not just dumb but intellectually lazy.

With that last paragraph of yours? I give up on you!

So run along now kid.
stop acting like a fool. You know all I said is true. Quit denial. This is not taking anybody anywhere

If you claim Yorubas did anything against you to warrant the enmity then state it with evidence. I put it to you that you are just hate filled and posing a greater problem to yourself than you think Yorubas are to you.

And if you think you know so much why did you not answer my question? If you know you had nothing to say you shouldn't have bothered mentioning me.

And in what way does calling a person you don't know kid make sense Do you know my age? Smh. There's something fundamentally wrong with most Nigerian youths truly

My mum was a poor Muslim Fulani woman with a Yoruba mum

Married my dad, became Christian and got disowned. My dad practically raised her.

Most Nigerian men are unnecessarily egoistic

Buhari is highly bigoted. He widened the divide amongst Nigerians, hardly a unifier

I regret supporting Buhari
Really Sad story ...thats how intolerant that religiin can be.....anyway thank God she stuck to your dad and he was able to raise her the right way. Some men are egoistic, I agree

buhari is the worst mistake any country can make to have as a leader, when some of talk, we were called names of sort. Thank God hunger knows no tribe religion or political party.

You regret supporting buhari because you have conscience. The Benin's have always respected the Yoruba's as a cousin. But what did the Benin's get in return? Insult and derogatory reference to the Benin's as omo Igbo.

You lie, Yoruba could tell a Bini from Yiibo. At max Yoruba in the pre & during 90s era referred to Bini people as ‘Bendelite’. Yoruba have always regarded Bini as cousins and that was & is still stupid of us for we are only related to your king & not the people.

The old Western region the Bendel axis were insulted and deprived of regional allocations, the major resources the made the western region increase its pace of development was gotten from the Bendel area. Cocoa we contributed 35%%,Timber 50%,Rubber and Palm Oil we contributed more but what did Bendel get? We all saw what the break away of Mid Western region did to the west.

You lie. Studies in History have shown that the Cocoa & other cash crops boom of the 70s/80s had its returns localized. In essence, the kings of each locale headed a board that amassed farm produce and sold them at agreed price. The goverment got taxes from this but the proceeds went into community developments under Kings - it was this way during colonial period with the supervision of District Officers and continued into 70s/80s under Kings until the Land Use Decree was promulgated. Your falsified 35% must have sunk into the pockets of the Oba Bini, proceeds did not go to the government other than tax.

Check this thread, its always the Yorubas that derails it without verifiable claims.

Stop playing victim. Yoruba make comments and bask in their origins, you Bini do nothing but froth and begin to insult Yoruba while trying to force your narrative on others. Several Yoruba folks from way back like Katsumoto, Negro-Ntns, Obalufon, Macof & so on have posted verifiable facts but your rebuttals have been 1. Yoruba had a head start and have written rubbish. 2. Independent foreign researchers like Bradbury were influenced by Yoruba people. It was on this same Nairaland that a Bini nationalist-irredentist insulted Jacob Egharevba and claimed his mother was Oyo meanwhile his mother was of Edo origin and the Oba Bini at the time vetted his work before it was published.

You all talk about size forgetting Japan once ruled over China and Italy over Europe.

Japan never ‘ruled’ China. It won a war against and occupied a bit of China. That is where it stops. You lot are less than 3 Million and you want to go against a peoples of over 20 Million with countries in Latin America & West Africa?

Forget the mercy part, when e set believe me you and you co-warmongering crew will be the ones begging for mercy.

Nothing is setting. Yiibos invaded and tore Bini apart during civil war of ‘67. If Yiibos did it then, they can do it again; if Yoruba sons deflated Igbos who conquered you, guess what these Yoruba sons would do to you?

The reason argument is hardly won on nairaland is people try their best to be as foolish as possible. If Yoruba bring local fact ibo and Benin will say it’s written by afonja so it’s a lie. Yoruba say ok that can be possible let me bring a fact from non Yoruba or foreigners like white who can be objective but when they see this new evidence again they will still say that afonja wrote it. My question is it only afonja that wrote all of the world fact even for the white I mean what is everybody else doing then coz even if God says it some will still claim God is afonja

Keep dreaming folks, keep dreaming...
The one and only Oba has left ife and is back to his throne in Benin Kingdom.

Truth is-Igbos a darn to busy to start thinking of Yorubas. An average Igbo man has his mind on eking out a living and being happy wherever we are. Igbos are peaceful, no time to start plotting evil or attacking anyone, but yet you see yorooba leave a discussion or topic about hausa or Fulani and turn it to Igbo bashing. Yorooba just love to see Igbos as enemies-fact.

First of all the Oba of Benin is not a yoruba king. I know you yoruba have hearing problems but you can't force people into becoming yoruba. It doesn't work like this.
Second of all: did the ooni of ife or alafin of oyo fight against the british ?
No, the alafin of oyo gave up without a fight and welcomed the british as liberators.
The ooni of ife didn't even have an army nor a palace, he wasn't even considered a king, the british propped him up as a useful servant.
I am just wondering what is yoruba about Benin monarchy: Benin monarchy is inherited by the first son of the King like in real kingdoms all over the world, whereas your ooni of ife is elected by your politicians. I am just wondering if you are actually aware that your ooni's father is still alive and was never ooni, so is the father of your ooni the descendent of your ooni ?
Even your crazy ooni would never dare call the Oba of Benin his "descendent and subject".
I have talked to crazy people enough for today.

shut up u are just like other dumbass on this forum so if our politician choose the Ooni then tell me who chooses the Ooni before there was anything called politician. I corrected u once that Yoruba monarch is different coz the king is chosen by ifa and afobaje but u still came back with ur political rhetoric. I also told u the Ooni said it that Benin choose their king from ife and here u are saying he never dare call Benin his descendant. Better go and sleep.

The big difference between Edo and yoruba is authenticity.
yoruba are trying to fake it, while the Edo actually have it.

Ignorant of the ignoramus.... so just because the Oba of Benin visited ife means he visited his father land...
They (Yorubas) should give us concrete evidence of where Oduduwa came from..before running their. mouth.

They(Yorubas) were living like Fulanis before they were able yo get a ruler (Izoduwa: the banished prince from Igodomigo kingdom-presently Edo state by circumstances..which they corrupted to Oduduwa). I stand to be corrected... We are Igodomigos and not Yorubas...

and I say again stop acting foolish. It may feel like superiority coz that’s what other feel like it is. When Yoruba argue on this forum they always try to at least bring some fact whether foreign or local to buttress their point but others will rather abuse than logically so we give them back in the same coin too. Mind u the tribe that feels is the most superior to every tribe in Nigeria most is ibo. Go to any thread and see ur kinsmen beating their chests about how other tribes in Nigeria backwardness is holding them back and nobody can measure up to them. So the things u accuse Yoruba of doing u do it too that’s why I said u should point ur fingers at both side instead of shouting Yoruba alone.
