Ties do not have to be in Nigeria alone, but anywhere outside of Canada. But then siblings are not strong enough tie and Parents are strong ties only in some sense. Given your circumstance I will advice you concentrate on your studies program and how that will bring you back to Nigeria. You might want to say something to the effect that instrument engineering is one of the top earning field in Nigeria and given the lucrativenees of the oil industry in Nigeria, you intend to come back and contribute to the growth and development of your mother land.

If you want to switch school, then you should have an admission letter for the new school before entering Canada. Besides before UCW gives you your acceptance letter, you will have to pay a seat deposit of about $6000 which is non refundable except you’re denied visa. You can’t also get to Canada and decide not to go to school until you get a new admission from another school. If you want to switch school start processing admission with other schools and also get ready to lose your deposit.

I have been denied visa and my advisor has asked if I'd like to defer my admission or proceed to refund. So you see that I can get my money back. But I have not made any decisions yet.

Actually sir, you can switch schools before and after you get to Canada. It is a rather simple and seamless process you enact online on your CIC profile. Some people are accepted in multiple schools and change schools they want to attend last minut after getting their visa. Others wait till they are in Canada and find out that they don’t like the school they are attending. They transfer to another schools following CIC protocol online.

If your SOA is dated April, you are safe to submit it this week. Please, if you can get an updated one, kindly get it.

Better wait till you get to Canada then you buy your phone, the good thing is that, you can be using free WiFi on your infinix phone till you get a phone. Some of the Samsung we use in naija does not work in Canada. My wife's techno did not work in Canada though.

Whereas I applied 1st March when processing time was only 6 weeks , till today no update, or medical request ,bg check and eligibility under processing and review still respectively !!

N.B: Students may not work until they have commenced their program of study. They must actually commence studies in Canada at a DLI before being eligible to work off campus.

I went there with one. i could not use there SIM for data, i had to rely on only WIFI. I thought it was the SIM, called them, all the things they asked for, my phone nor get.LOL
It worked on my iphone. Abeg just buy samsung or iphone.

Using that watermark transcript is not a good idea. It is not a must you apply for trv with your transcript, make sure you include your certs and results and you are good to go.
