Drogbas first season 10 league goals Chelsea won because the support cast were delivering
Drogbas second season 12 league goals Chelsea won because the support cast were delivering

If players like Hazard were focused on football instead of twerking while he was played consistently in attack, Chelsea would have finished better
This was your initial post claiming supporting cast of drogba did better than that of morata in your attempt victimise hazard as usual for everything wrong with Chelsea now am asking let compare the chances those ones created and the ones hazard created you are bringing in your village incoherent things here.

smh.... I just read 7 pages of recycled boring arguement.

Morata didnt have the best of seasons BUT compared to Lukaku, he did well.

Before signing him, I never heralded Morata as the second coming of Drogba. Infact I have always said we should make peace with Costa and get him back into the team (a suggestion that nearly got me lynched here). And I mentioned Bellotti and Aubamayeng. But when the transfer rumour was between Lukaku and Morata, I choose Morata. That has been my stand, that will always be my stand.

Morata>>>Lukaku.

Whoever thinks otherwise should keep his opinion to himself. Morata is here to stay.

And the lenght people go to win arguements here is baffling! Nihilist how can you blame 10 players instead of Bakayoko in the Watford loss? Geez! Ok lets imagine for a moment that its Morata that got himself sent off needlessly in that game and we lost, would you be typing those stuffs you typed few pages back? The level of bias here sha.... You know the score was 1-1 in the 82nd minute right?

against a relegation team that we should easily beat with 9 men sef.

There is no sane person that can dare say red card = automatic loss.

This is what Conte himself had to say about the match

"In the second half we showed good determination but confusion. You have to manage the situation, to understand it. But in 10 minutes we conceded three goals. In this case it is right everyone to take the responsibility. Me, the players."

I don't understand how Bakayoko's red card is responsible for Watford's right back dribbling FIVE of your defenders to score with his LEFT foot.

Or how Bakayoko in the shower was the one that caused Cahill to deflect ball inside his own net.

You people chat a lot of shït sometimes sha...

I would say exactly the same thing.

Didn't Morata and Pedro both get sent off in a game against Norwich this season?

Somehow we didn't lose.

But Bakayoko's red card in first half is the reason why we chopped 3 goals in the last 8 minutes of the game.

Next thing now, you enter pekas after a few drinks, when engine no start, you will be looking for Bakayoko red card to blame...

Lukaku had more matches/minutes compared to Morata.

Even when he lost form, Lukaku still plays. Why? He has no competition in that position.

This is Mourinho after the Brighton loss...

"For 10 months I get asked 'why always Lukaku? Why always Lukaku, why always Lukaku? Why always this player? That guy doesn't have a chance to start, the other one is on the bench.' You know why now."

Mourinho don't trust anyone else in that position so he plays Lukaku consistently even when he is not in form. But Morata? He has competition. Batsman, Hazard (false 9), Giroud..... so he gets benched when not in form or gets rotated. Not to talk of injury.

Morata didn't do that badly the way our NL analysts are painting him. Yes, he could have done a lot better but not that bad the way you guys see him here.

After 2 to 3 seasons I will decide if Morata's transfer is hit or miss....Drogba started slowly for us too. He too was an expensive signing in 2005.

Lukaku had more matches/minutes compared to Morata.

.

Despite this, Morata had far more chances than Lukaku to score.

The number of minutes Morata played less than Lukaku is completely irrelevant...there is no correlation between the number of chances received and the number of minutes played.

Both of Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero have played free minutes than Morata and yet have more goals.

Aguero has received the exact same number of big chances that Morata recieved and he has 21 goals to Morata's 11.

If I give you 3 big chances in each game, I expect a hattrick or brace in each game.

If you don't score the chances you're fed when you're on the pitch, then you can't claim the reason you did not score is because you were benched.

isn't that exactly what the parable of talents teaches us?

on judgement day, God will ask Morata what he did with the chances he was given, just before he smites him with a plague of rectal boils.

I'm definitely not taking it because it's not true.

like I pointed out, we beat Norwich with 9 men this same season so 10 men are not too few to hold to a 1-1 scoreline for 8 minutes against Watford.

when you consider how Watford scored their goals, it is IMPOSSIBLE for any rational person to blame Bakayoko for the individual defensive errors of Courtois for fouling a Watford player for a penalty, or Cahill and Luiz failing to track their men and/or deflecting the ball into their own net.

That makes no damn sense

That makes no damn sense

It's your point that makes no damn sense.

Let's take a look at Bakayoko's 30mins against Watford. Here is BBC...

Bakayoko's opening half-hour was so bad Chelsea fans could have been excused for thinking they would be no worse off following his red card.

Having been responsible for one of Bournemouth's goals, he followed that up with an even worse performance.

Early on, the France international passed the ball to Deulofeu, who overran the ball back to Courtois.

Bakayoko then headed the ball straight at Doucoure's chest and the Watford player shot wide from the edge of the box.

The £40m summer signing from Monaco was then dispossessed before the ball broke to Deulofeu, who shot into the side netting - and Richarlison had a shot blocked by Cahill after Bakayoko had given the ball away.

Both his yellow cards came after he lost the ball too.

First of all he gave the ball to Etienne Capoue and then pulled him down in the 25th minute. And five minutes later he miscontrolled the ball to Richarlison and fouled the Brazilian while stretching to try to win it back.

In all, he had 28 touches, losing the ball seven times, and failing with four of his attempted 12 passes.

The guardian...

5 mins: Bakayoko plays a near suicidal, blindingly casual pass sort of towards Cahill, but the buzzing Deulofeu nips in to intercept, but his touch is heavy and takes it through to Courtois.

7 mins: Speaking of Tiemoue, Matt Dony writes: “Dropping Bakayoko would effectively be a tacit acknowledgment that maybe, just maybe, selling Matic to a direct rival might not have been the best plan. ie Exactly what many, many people said back in August. But then, hey, Conte hardly seems too worried what people think at the moment, so what do I know?”

24 mins: A clownish few seconds for Bakayoko: he receives a pass from Luiz but seemingly has no idea of what’s around him, that what being Capoue who dispossesses him. Bakayoko then not only fouls his opponent in trying to get the ball back, but falls on Capoue’s leg, causing him some pain. He’s playing like you returning to five-a-side after six weeks away.

RED CARD - Bakayoko

30 mins: A mercy red card. Bakayoko once again loses the ball in midfield, stretches to regain it but instead of doing that he goes in on Richarlison. It didn’t look like the worst challenge in the world, but it’s apparently worth a second yellow card (the first was, I think, for the foul on Capoue a few minutes ago). Given the 30 minutes he’s had, it’s probably for the best.

Standard.co.uk...

Chelsea came into the game at Vicarage Road under intense pressure not to drop more points after they were comprehensively beaten 3-0 at home to relegation-battlers Bournemouth in midweek.

Yet, the manner of the Blues' start against Watford showed they were still suffering from the ill effects of that defeat - with Bakayoko, in particular, putting in one of his worst performances since joining Chelsea for £40m last summer.

The midfielder first failed to clear the ball in the eighth minute, which allowed Abdoulaye Doucoure to go for goal although he dragged his effort wide.

Bakayoko then gave the ball away not long afterwards, which ended in Gary Cahill having to block Richarlison's fierce effort.

If Conte thought Bakayoko's performance up until that point had been bad, he would have been left fuming by what he saw next.

The 23-year-old picked up two yellow cards in the space of just five minutes to hand Chelsea a one-man disadvantage with only 30 minutes on the clock.

His first caution came after he hauled Etienne Capoue down in midfield before he was sent off for catching Richarlison on the toe in a similar area of the pitch.

If you were his teammate in the pitch that, you no go even tire for this horror show? Bakayoko got himself sent off when the scoreline was 0-0 and put his teammates under immense pressure for 60 whole minutes! We were just coming back from a 0-3 loss to Bournemouth and Bakayoko, from the 5th minute of the match started misbehaving, how do you expect other players to play well?

Haba Nihilist.... At least argue without bias small na...

He has come to stay the same way fernadud came to stay abi? But unfortunately for us no drogba, lampard, kalou or anelka to help out this time.....

Anyways.....we can start blaming everyone for our poor season except Princess Morita.....cuz he is blameless and he has done well in his sole duty to match the enormous money we spent in getting him....

By the way..... what is the essence of comparing lukaku to morata ? How will that help us qualify for next year's ucl? What significant thing can you point to that sisi Morita did for us this season asides falling all over the pitch like an epileptic patient, missing open net while doing weight lifts with his fiancee to score home goals?

Why not compare batshuayi and giroud to morata and tell us how morata haven't been Uber useless this season? Even Murray shyttes on the humongous fraud......when you check the amount we paid for him and the returns we have gotten this season, but let's pretend like it is not true and declare him greater than a striker who will be playing in the ucl next season.....Akpo cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

...

I think your problem is that you are are either deliberately misunderstanding or incapable of understanding what discussion is happening here.

Nobody is debating that Bakayoko played badly in that game.

The question has been - Is Bakayoko directly responsible for our loss to watford?

when Yoko left the pitch, the score was 0-0

If Bakayoko was not on the pitch when the first Watford goal was scored, then what are you blaming him for exactly?

A red card?

What does red card have to do with Courtois giving away a first half penalty?

What does red card have to do with Luiz brainfarting all over the place?

What does red card have to do with Cahill nodding ball into his own damn net?

Timbros you well so?
