NaijaElba:You better leave faith and religion out of this. It is still God that gave doctors this knowledge. Go to the hospital and see SS children suffering with your own eyes, you will never try what you're suggesting. 10 Likes 1 Share |

If you're AS, the key to avoiding unnecessary heartbreak is to stop hiding your status. Let every potential bf/gf know on time, before emotions set in and cloud your judgement. I have seen too many sickle cell families first hand and close range. Trust me, it's not a pretty sight. Just one case is enough to cause a world of pain and regrets to the whole family. DON'T TRY IT. 22 Likes |

madridguy: Nope but have Physical prove, you just wonder why someone playing with you smiling and in the next few hrs she is down crying, sick, dull, starting having unexplained sickness. Well I never believed in such before until I realized that was what has been happening to the person I know, took her to SC center opposite LUTH, got her register and now she can manage it very well even. 7 Likes |

When I learnt that my sweet nephew David is a sickle cell patient, I felt so bad. He's such a sweet & intelligent boy. I honestly don't pray for anyone to pass through what the child or his parents are passing through right now. Don't worry @nerdy-dami, your knight of AA status will come for you. Learn not to hide your status from the beginning. 4 Likes |

Naijaelba you are naive in your write up,if you born an SS child who is a product of AS v AS ,you will know that life is not double(aye o pe meji) except you take them out of malaria endemic zone yet they will still give you headache ,their parents are traumertized ,those that copulate any how do you know what they undergo? If they have SS baby. Lady God will provide a suitable husband for you ,Shalom |

Re: "Genotype Issues Have Cost Me Another Relationship" - Nigerian Lady Cries Out by Alajiki(m): 5:27am On May 25, 2018 |
NaijaElba: I do not agree with you that our forefathers gave birth to healthy parents and all that. Have you sat with most of those very old people and listen to their stories? You'll hear of a mother giving birth like 10 times and only just 2 out of those made it to adulthood. I am aware that there could be other factors responsible, but what do you think could be the cause of that? They were grossly affected by their lack of knowledge of genotype then, that was why you had so many of them the Yoruba call ABIKU. 8 Likes |

NaijaElba:Have you been to every family to know the babies genotype or stories? In Yoruba beliefs/myths there's something called "abiku"(when babies keeps dying early), this was lack and ignorance of genotype test but people back then think it's a curse from the Gods or some other mythical causes. Get informed and stop thinking like an ignorant person. 17 Likes 1 Share |

madridguy: Guy, you are really living up to expectations. I didn't expect much from an Aboki knuckle head like you. Sickle cell is a white man scam? Maybe if a couple of fulani herdsmen had gotten around to getting their doctorates, there would be someone close to you who could should you that sickle cell is not a scam. But keep it up, I'm entertained 12 Likes 1 Share |

It's bout ur believe. I think there are more AA than any other genotype out there. I'm AA and all the guys that have ever approached me, I guess only one out of 10 has ever told me he's AS. So if you see it in ur mind that there are more AA, you can hold it in reality. I had a SS friend, it's not a wishful sight at all. God help u gal. 3 Likes |
