I like the suggestion of TFM for defence. We can't really buy up on all positions, the guys who have proved themselves out on loan can fill 2 or 3 positions even if they will be back ups.
I'm looking @ Pereira, TFM and McTominay. I don't know what trajectory CBJ's career has taken but I hope it's upwards cuz that is another talented guy I'd love to see florish @ OT.

We can't compete with these guys, unless as back ups or third choice. Look at Liverpool and Man City FFS. If we really Want to compete for the league next season then I suggest we buy up on all positions and even back ups, Get a suitable RB as back up for Valencia or even one that will replace him, Get two quality Midfielders, Get a quality CB and a back up as well, Go all out for Sandro. Get Bertrand if Sandro doesn't work out. Push Sanchez to the middle and let Martial slot in on the left, Go all out for Mahrez, this is the one that pains me most, how can we not be looking at Mahrez FFS. If we fail to get him, then we get Willian, though I'd prefer a younger and agile player

This is how we are going to really compete. And oh, without Mourinho changing his stupid tactics

Well there are still good players that can adequately replace the retired Michael Carrick and departing Mouroane Fellaini like Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Jean Michael Seri and Jorginho. I think they are all in the transfer market too.
Marco Veratti is another possibility if Ed Woodward is willing to stump up the cheese.
