elder I have asked the question since morning and forgiveness and komekn cannot answer me. At least their silence proves that they have no point in criticizing nwakali's call up for the athletico game or 35 man list.. Wherever they saw such list.

I will still ask for the third time.... Now it is an open question for everyone .... Is there any special talent midfielder currently of Naija decent both home and abroad that deserves it more than nwakali to be called to the national team just to train... Post Russia...... I really want to learn.... I am waiting..

Forgiveness and komekn should hide their face in shame... I cannot wait for dust to settle.

They hid their faces.

So where does Iwobi fit into?
Iwobi was in the other set up posted by Joebie. But if we are thinking of a sub, Iwobi can come in for either Ighalo or Vicmo or Musa. Or Simi can be subbed for Iwobi. Iwobi stays on the flanks while Ighalo moves further as the point man.

Iwobi is the owner of that right side even when Simeon was fit,so he is going to start as a winger with Ighalo leading the attack. Victor on the left side and Mikel doing his thing with any of Onazi, Ogu,Joel, Etebo or Agu.

I just want to see a good game on Saturday. The boys need to show understanding on the pitch and play as a unit. I’ll be very satisfied if they can demonstrate that. Croatia are watching keenly. I want them to see areas they would think they can exploit only to be surprised on d-day

egbon why wait for dust to settle. Did you wait before you and komekn stunk up this place with your negative prejudice about nwakali. Simple question you both can't answer. It is like you both think you are smarter than everyone here.

I don't want to reveal private stuff about myself, but I can tell you that I am one of the best in what I do and as a trained teacher I definitely know how to structure questions and target a specific point.

If you and bros komekn cannot give us just a name of one Nigerian player, foreign born or Naija born who is a special talent midfielder who deserves to be called up at this moment to just train with the national team.... Then I am sorry to say you should keep quiet [no shut the phuck up]. Never ever you criticise nwakali's call up again since you have nothing better to present. Good luck to you.

Really! Mr smarty! Lmao! grin

A living dog is better than a dead Lion.

Special talent that was demoted to a second after he couldn't demostrate his special talent in Eredivise. I see.

Oga, Abdul Ajagun and Ebere Eze are likened to the living dogs doing well in their clubs at the moment.

We are talking about a living dog at the moment.

Hope Nwakali shows himself in a decent league but for now he is just a prospect. Thanks

You are so predictable, everyone here knows you had ajagun in mind when criticizing nwakali.... Can't you change for once... That ebere you added there is just so that you will not be tagged tribal.... BTW does ebere deserve it more than nwakali..... Or is your washed up ajagun [old man] a special talent..... I tire for you....

Nwakali is the future not your ajagun deal with it.
Just like ndidi and nacho, nwakali is an NFF project. They distinguished themselves at youth level. They are our own, our products and have to be groomed. Ebere Eze is on NFF radar but currently doesn't deserve it more. It's not like he is a Nigerian yet in the eyes of FIFA.

For Ajagun, well sorry is your name. We have better midfielders of his age in the NT set up currently so right now he has no chance. This is the reality. Again Nwakali is the future.. just as TheGoodJoe mentioned chalobah training with the English team.... I rest my case for now

Obi Mikel On Rohr's High Standards: If You Don't Train Properly, You Are Leaving Camp
Published: May 31, 2018

Super Eagles captain, John Obi Mikel has credited the national team manager, Gernot Rohr with the upturn in fortunes for the team as a result of his insistence on certain high standards while acclaiming his strict disciplinary measures.

Prior to the appointment of the German two years ago, Nigeria had lost much of their fear factor after failing to qualify for the 2015 and 2017 AFCON tournaments while struggling to create a better team for international assignments.

Mikel has described the 64-year old's influence on the team as "radical change" since his installation, having overseen the team in qualification for their sixth World Cup appearance and also trying to imbue the importance of team work in such a young squad.

"The coach and myself, as captain, have tried to make these young players realise that we are a team, not individuals," Mikel stated in an interview with the Guardian UK

"If you don't want to play together, you are welcome to leave. It's amazing now to go to camp. You can feel the good feelings.

"I have been in the national team since 2005 and I haven't seen this discipline before. It is meetings, being on time, the training.

''Sometimes a player has the hump because he knows he is not going to make the team and, before in the national team, he just strolls around.

''Now, you have to train properly. If you don't, you are leaving the camp. The coach has changed the whole mentality."

It is a forgone conclusion that the 31-year old will be leading out the Super Eagles in Russia next month for his second World Cup outing and only missed out of the 2010 edition due to injury.

The SEs of Nigeria are known to play their hearts out against topsides. I'm expecting to see a very different ball game entirely.

As much as I want us to win this game, I also want our players to come out unscathed. Trust me, the english won't take this match as friendly. So much is at stake(you know the ego thing worrying both side). I Only Hope our players will throw in some caution and our coaches will manage things well... It'll be better sef, if we can have two different 11s to prosecute the match... Making changes at half time.

Musa said they already know the system to play Croatia.

"Nigeria are younger and, I hope, better than [we were] in Brazil. At that World Cup, I scored two goals vs Argentina, we lost 3-2, but both progressed," Musa told Goal.

"I wouldn't mind if that happened again in Russia. But also, maybe it's time for revenge against Argentina.

"Argentina is the best in the group going by name, and for us the most important thing is not to lose the opening game vs Croatia. I would be very happy with a draw."

"To be honest, we already know how to play against Croatia, but of course I will not tell you," he teased.

"The best Croatian player is Luka Modric, and I know Vedran Corluka from the Russian league, he is a very intelligent defender.

"I played and scored against Croatia once, in 2011 at U20 World Cup and we won 5-2."

Meanwhile, in the other news, Buhari's jersey spotted.

always about kayode, was he the only one that wad not picked

i never mentioned anything club pedigree and performance but did kayode better than those in camp.

Bros high blood pressure is real o

Camp is indicative not holistically absolute.

What you get in camp which is at best a couple of weeks is a small insight into a player ability. The more objective, conclusive and all encompassing assessment is what that player does week in week out in his club.

You no go be cockroach for Lagos come turn Lion when you reach Warri, Eéeeeeee no deh happen.

In the same vein you can't all of a sudden go to camp and become a prolific goal scorer bullying defenders left, right and center, when in your club and league you have been anonymous all season.

All that talk about camp performance is to move away from the objective to anchor on the subjective, which is open to abuse.

Look at top performing countries they always have thier top performing players. If those players have underperformed in the league, they are simply out, all things being equal.

TheGoodJoe:
Uzoenyi was magical in the CHAN. His inclusion in the 2014 World Cup squad was well earned. Anyone who watched him in the CHAN under Keshi, will not blame Keshi's choice of carrying him. We are talking of a player who took a blow on the field, passed out, revived on the pitch and continued playing.

That is how passionate the guy was for the green white green Jersey. He was dropped from the final list but Echiejile's injury gave him the chance to make it.

Him not blossoming does not make the choice wrong. Heck, an experience Yobo had problems in the same mundial.

Del Piero was the most lethal finisher in the Champions League in 97-98 season but flopped on the big stage in France 98.

Even big players like Messi Flop in games.

Passion is good but exceptional quality is much better.

Yobo has been arguably one of the most outstanding consistent defenders we have had in the SE in recent times. Albeit he began to drop off towards the end of his career.

So I don't necessarily agree with your approach. Players should be selected as a reward for CURRENT OUTSTANDING CONSISTENT TOP QUALITY PERFORMANCES in thier club and league with the quality of league a major point of consideration. Any other considerations are simply open to abuse.
