I think the use of a Nigerian currency is deliberate. I think it's a subtle potshot at us for our culture of "decadence", which incidentally is the recurring theme that advances the plot and hold it together. Achilles100 is right in that regard.

Downtown abbey is a series you watch when you just want to chill. No real suspense, good series if you just want to look at something.

. You are right if you say there is no real suspense in it. But what made interesting for me is that is show the world have changed and the effort great nations of the world put in to develop.

Sky Atlantic is a bit of an enigma. They are quite capable of producing world class tv series and miniseries, but sometimes, they completely lose their minds and make shows like Bulletproof

Couldn't make it past the pilot. Bad acting, bad writing. It's possibly the worst british show I've had the displeasure of seeing in a while.

Well, it is every entertaining, at least, from my pov. I did say it isn't remarkable, right? Well, scratch that. It is truly remarkable. The acting is solid. Characters all have proper backstories and are interesting from the get-go. The narrator has character. Intriguing storyline. What more can one ask for in a show?


8/10 is the more appropriate score.


PS: I tend to prefer what some people in this thread like to call 'boring shows'. I especially love em slow-burners.
