Is Grazing Reserve A Private Business ? by FriendNG: 11:27pm On Jun 29, 2018 |
The federal government of Nigeria want to establish grazing reserves across the country in a bid to put an end to open Ranching. Members of the opposition have rejected the move arguing that ranching should be a private business. To those who opposed grazing reserves read the below. -Who build dams for irrigation? Government or Farmers? Farming is a personal business. - Who build port for people to export and import goods? Export and input of goods by private individuals should be a private business and therefore those individuals should build their own port. - Who build roads for transport ? Public and commercial transportation is a personal things and therefore transportation Unions should join hands and build roads for their business. Airlines operators should as a matter of fact build their own airports as transportation by a air is a personal business. Then why the opposing views in government building ranches while the citizens utilizing it pay tax just as the scarsm above Intellectual contributions only. Please Counter The 5 points below with knowledge and not ignorance Ovamboland: Lalasticlala Mynd44 4 Likes 3 Shares |

Stupid thread. Build your own grazing reserve. Stop trespassing into people's farms. Malam without brain. Imagine comparing Seaport and Airport with cattle business. Aboki and their retarded brain. Even Saudi Arabia don't practise open ranching. 29 Likes |

See those who think they are good people but in reality bigots avoiding this thread like plague. Government gives subsidy to farmers to buy fertilizer, nobody shouted it's Private business and government should stay off. At huge cost the government builds dams at many river basins to irrigate farms. They train farmers usually free of charge to adopt modern methods. They sometimes provide free seedlings and encourage farmers to adopt it for increased yeild. Many governments buy tractors and attachments to be rented by farmers. But why is it such a bad thing to establish ranching reserves? Why is it wrong to train herdsmen to stop nomadic life and embrace ranching? Will it be a bad thing to buy milking machine for rent to herdsmen to improve our dairy Industry and reduce milk import? Will it be a bad thing to have fat healthy cows instead of the lean diseased types common today? When the opposition was in power their last government released 100 billion naira to all 36 states to establish ranches. Due to the corrupt hallmark and incompetence no state used the money for the purpose. Now they claim to be champions by opposing a solution they themselves proposed and paid for, only weak minds take them serious. The truth is obvious, the opposition don't truly want the farmers/herdsmen clashes to stop, they want to obstruct any solution and hopefully ride on the blood flow and associated anger back into office. Very wicked people. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

And you are the same people who condemn fulani should you see them rear cows in the streets. Talk about hypocrisy. 1 Like |

Point 1 - govt subsidizes fertilizer but same fertilizers go into the cultivation of grass and other livestock feed. 2. Irrigation water can also serve ranches just like it serves farmers. Take poultry farmers for example. Their feed comes from a farm and grass for herds can be cultivated. 3. The training farmers get is applicable to herders if the grow what their liuestock eats like poultry farmers grow grains for chickens. 4. There are seeds applicable to herds feed also. It is a matter of the herders agreeing to grow what their livestock feed on. 5. Let them rent and pay for tractors like other poultry farmers who grow grains. Conclusion - Govt can't leave poultry farmers paying tax and start planting grass for foreigners. 9 Likes |

OP, nobody is against government building ranches for herders. We are only saying the ranches should be located in the north as we don't want them in the south or middle belt, after all Kano State has promised land for such purposes. You also have liberated Sambisa forest 17 Likes |

Hatred has continued to be the basis of those who oppose grazing reserves. Jonathan's government dashrd people money on the name of YouWin to start or expand their business none of the those who oppose grazing reserves shouted it is private business. There should be a special place in hell for useless hypocritical imps who perpetuate hate in the name of their hypocrisy. 3 Likes |

PMB must be resolute in solving this herders and farmers crisis. Grazing reserves and ranching is the solution, people cannot continue to suffer because hateful illiterates and unpatriotic imps who enjoy Fulani propaganda decide that there must be no solution to this problem. 2 Likes |

Better face the fact the so called grading reserves or grazing colonies or ranches or whatever name you want to call it is dead on arrival. The useless government of buhari insists his terrorist brothers are not responsible for the mayhem yet he pursues a policy of appeasement for them to stop the killings. Who is fooling who? Shebi the crisis is between farmers and herdsmen? What did he propose to do for farmers? So the only solution the illiterate could find was to use government money to allocate free lands and funding for the private business of his kinsmen while doing nothing for farmers. God punish both him and Osibanjo 12 Likes |

FriendNG: Your arguments here are very lame. There's huge different between supporting farmers financially and building ranches for them on another man's land. Can the northerners freely give out their lands to the Igbos or Yorubas to build shops for their private businesses?. 12 Likes |
