No referee that I have seen so far is better than the Senegalese who refereed Belgium vs Japan. It was the best game and it didn't have to be scandalous. So far I see European teams have been heavily favored.

You can say that all over again! I said it then that the officiating was the best at that moment. I have missed some matches after that game...
The game itself was fair and entertaining. No unnecessary fouls from the players nor gimmicks. It is still the best match for me.

Players become frustrated when the ref is biased e.g the Columbia players against the English team.

I have seen so much biasness from other refs. I think FIFA is not doing enough. The way Ref allocation is been done is not fair enough. How can you choose a ref from US to refer an English game against a South American team.

One of the thing that stands the Senegalese referred match out is because he was so neutral. It was a game between Asia(Japan) and Europe (Belgium).

One thing I love about Lukaku is his willingness to improve. The guy studies the game and pushes himself.
Something that unfortunately can't be said of many of our players

An Argentine officiated UruFra, and the butter rivals of his country got eliminated.

I think FIFA needs to step up this rotational quota by insistently making each continent produce a dozen refs each prior to every WC. That way kasala no go happen.

IL still keep saying it, the numerical strength of the European teams is a hug huge advantage for them@13.

If Africa had such a slot, even if we are backwards centurywise, we would have at least 3teams in the q/finals.

Now it's just a euro affair. A dry one.

Europe winning it since 2006.

Celtic end pursuit of former Hull City defender Moses Odubajo

The former City man is currently training with Brentford

BY WILLIAM JACKSON
09:11, 4 JUL 2018

Former Hull City defender Moses Odubajo will not be joining Celtic this summer, according to reports in Scotland.

After rejecting a new contract to stay at the KCOM Stadium this summer, Odubajo flew out to Austria to meet up with Brendan Rodgers at Celtic’s high altitude pre-season training camp.

The Celtic boss openly admitted to being a big fan of the right-back and watching his progress closely before picking up the knee injury that would strike off the next two years of his professional career, with his last competitive appearance coming in the 2016 Championship play-off win over Sheffield Wednesday.

However, despite holding talks with the 24-year-old, the Scottish champions will not be pursuing a deal to sign Odubajo this summer, according to the Scottish Sun.

In an effort to keep fit during the summer season, Odubajo has been pictured in training with his former club Brentford whilst he continues his search for a new club, where he spent one season before joining the Tigers for a fee of around £3.5million.

The defender went on to play a pivotal role in City's promotion campaign of 2015/16, making 42 appearances along the way, before picking up the debilitating knee injury.

Earlier in the day, I told my colleague that the last time Europe didn't win the WC when hosted in Europe was in 1958.

Ever since a European country has always won on European Soil.

And until 2010 when Spain won in SA, any time a WC is hosted outside Europe the trophy goes to a South American team.

It is not just by numerical strength. After all, South America and Africa produced the same number of countries while 4 of the 5 South American teams made it to the second round no African team made it Even Peru that crashed out still won a game. The bitter truth is Africa is still lagging behind other continents.

Yes chief we will continue to lag behind in Africa especially Nigeria cos of age factor.A graduate of 5 years ago playing for U 20 says a lot.

It's high time we correct the abnormality by just requesting for primary school cert or ordinary primary school terms results with this age falsification will come to an end.

The younger the better to learn new tactics of the game, just check out new Waec results,14-15 years pupils have the best results.

The only way out is having right age for our underaged teams and not getting players who are above with 5 years of stipulated age for our teams.

MRI is not the solution cos just too glaring we are not getting it right save for our WC qualification,Nigeria football has been in static mode since 2014.

Primary school leaving cert can also be forged

D best is to ask for WAEC certificate, dt certificates indicates ur date of birth, even NECO doesn't indicate, dts y u c job seekers who want to falsify deir date of birth only tenders NECO CERT,not WAEC CERTIFICATE cool

Yea you are right on forgery but very difficult to forge especially primary school terms results.

Did you know that there is nothing like forgery in primary school cert and that's why government agencies don't ask for it.

Honestly ordinary primary school term results will curb age cheats.

Kudos to Belgium and co but what do you expect ?

European team in the World Cup are about 15 or 16 South America Africa and Asia are just 5 each so we expected this.

We should give kudos to Europe but as far as I am concerned the South Americans are the best in the football history

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Nigeria international Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo has turned down the first proposal from an unnamed United Arab Emirates club who were interested in his services this summer.

The future of the Super Eagles number thirteen at the 2018 World Cup has been the subject of much speculation since the end of last season after Crotone lost their Italian topflight status.

The intermediary representing the UAE team was shocked that Simy rejected the US$3 million per season wages (N1.1 billion) offer from the club, arguing that the striker won't get that contract from any club in Europe.

Efforts are being made to convince the Super Eagles striker to accept the offer even if it means increasing the wages.

The 27-year-old has entered the final twelve months of his contract with Crotone, whom he joined in 2016 from Portuguese side Gil Vicente.

He played two games for the Super Eagles at the World Cup, coming off the bench in the closing minutes of their losses to Croatia and Argentina.

Bryan Idowu will now be shopping for a new club after playing for Nigeria at the World Cup in Russia after his club Amkar Perm were declared bankrupt.

Amkar Perm have gone bust and as such they have released all their players including Idowu.

The Saint Petersburg-born Idowu played all three group games for the Eagles at Russia 2018.

Unconfirmed reports suggested coach Gernot Rohr’s insistence on the defender may not be unconnected with a desperate attempt to get him a new club.

The 26-year-old Idowu had a contract with Amkar Perm till the summer of 2020.

He has previously featured at another Russian club Dynamo Saint Petersburg on loan from Amkar Perm.

If people can get angry at a diving Neymar how about a team that lost just so they have an easier run. Football is a system ran on hypocrisy.

Then it Neymar's choice also. Both acts are wrong that is how it relates. The British media can call people cheats as long as they are not British and that sucks.
