I know where he's coming from. For instance, Night Shyamalan, I criticize his movies a lot, but would likely rush to the cinema to watch a new movie from him if it were to drop tomorrow. He has had some sh**ty movies, but unexpected twists synonymous with his good movies keep me very interested in his work.

I said I don't rate it highly, it doesn't mean I rate it poorly. Most of his movies are average not poor. His movie, For Coloured Girls is very interesting. I rated that one highly.

I'm sorry for being a bit aggressive. Tyler Perry has frustrated me before.

I was on a date with a sexy babe that I had been crushing on. We ate dinner and decided to go back to her house to watch a movie and chill. . You know what that means

So on getting to her living room, she quickly popped a bottle of red wine and announced that we were going to watch Tyler Perry. I didn't like Tyler Perry but it didn't matter, as I knew that I was going to be smooching the hot babe during the movie.

Only for me me to doze within 5 minutes of the idiotic Madea movie (don't bother asking which one as all Madea movies are foolish )

I was snoring with my mouth open and the babe decided to punish me with a prank. She kept chips in my wide open mouth. Only for me to inhale the chips instead of swallowing and I started choking.

The babe was alarmed and in the panic, she started to slap me to wake me up. I woke up choking and receiving hot slaps.

I later managed to vomit out the chips and then she was now looking at me with a sorry face. I was vexing for her as both my throat and face were aching me.

As I was massaging my throat, that bastard Madea was laughing at me from the TV screen. My babe even worsened the matter by saying that I should come over the next day to finish the movie. WHAT??!!

See, the problem with "everyone is entitled to their opinion" is that all too often, it’s used to shelter beliefs that should have been abandoned. It becomes shorthand for "I can say and think whatever I like, so don't disrespect me"

An opinion by definition is a view/judgement about something, thus, an opinion has attached to it a certain degree of subjectivity. Using it as a defense only works in certain situations.

For instance, there is no way you can argue with me if I were of the opinion that Jackie Chan is a shitty actor. You might be of a different opinion, but since my opinion is based on subjectivity, I'm allowed to stick to it. But you have all the right to argue with me if I were of the opinion that Titanic didn't happen, since there is overwhelming pop-culture references and documentations to show there is practically no subjectivity in my "opinion" that Titanic never happened. It's a straightup fallacy. I don't know if you understand where I'm going with this.

If everyone is entitled to their opinion is to infer that no one has the right to stop people thinking and saying whatever they want, then we are royally f**ked as a civilization.
