Nigerians should watch out for Luke Ayodele Amos. The boy is a baller. We should not sleep on the guy. If he makes his breakthrough for spurs this season then England will invite him.

He is already an England U18 star but he looks promising even though preseasons flatter to deceive grin

I wonder what correlation the bolded has with the post below, which came in support of the view that pre-seasons flatter to deceive even though it has been proven not to be so in many occasions. Now u wanna pretend u were joking. It was a Joke indeed

Oga call it what u want what u think means ZER0 to me so carry on.

I am on this occasion WRONG without question. Not afraid to say.

I didn't look at the article in depth just scanned through it. And missed the comments about Success.

That being the case it's Fabulous news. I have always said FAILURE is the beginning of success once it's accepted and learned from.

He is now under no illusions, I hope about the mental tenacity, diligence and DISCIPLINE required to make it in the EPL. Talent alone is not enough.

He needs consistency it's early days yet but signs of Promise.

Every good player quite often proves pundits and even personal coaches wrong. I remember when I first met Raheem Sterling and seen how small and physically under developed. I concluded he would never make it.

So let last year's Wasteman become this year's Best man.

He put in a lot of work in the offseason. He got himself a personal trainer and like the coach said he is fitter than everyone else.
But u really have to stop calling him a wasteman, that's messed up

You are on this occasion quite apt.

Seyi Ojo scored in Liverpool pre season games.

However, considering the world class top players he has to contend with in Liverpool. The possibility of him breaking into the Liverpool first team is very slim if not impossible.

It looks likely he will be sold for £10 million plus.

Could be the championship or some of the lesser teams in the EPL.

he won't be the first teenager that looked 'promising'..... We are still waiting for some others with 'promise' to bloom, even though they have been promising for the last four years.

That perennial Chelsea loanee that was promising two years ago, we never see the promise, he is still a loanee. Who pre-season epp?

Whenever u c me clamoring for a player, just know that I have genuine reasons. I always asked that this boy be given a chance prior to the world cup but ppl kept harping on his Olympics performance. Some even said he was a donkey that falls at every slightest touch. They said they would rather Simmy Nwankwo than the most feared attacker then in the Eredivisie.

I know this is early days, but this is first of many to come.

Tbaba1234 stood by me then sha

I will reiterate, and I dont care whatever reason anybody gonna give, Umar Sadiq is heads and shoulders better than Tammy Abraham that we would have mistakenly taken to the world cup just because he is FB.

Dude is immensely talented

I watched him last season and even though, he is unorthodox, he can trouble most defenses with his directness.

Rangers fans are in for a treat.

That's a good one. It pains me Mikel Agu didn't make the team. He should just find his way to Ligue 1.

charlesemeka85:
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino had nothing but praise for Nigerian midfielder Luke Amos following his man of the match display against mighty Barcelona in an International Champions Cup encounter held in Rose Bowl this morning.

Despite Barcelona and Spurs permitted to make eleven changes each, Amos was one of six outfielders that played the full game, the others being Aurier, Davies, Carter-Vickers, Eriksen and Son Heung-Min.

Based on Amos's performance in pre-season, including against Roma, everything is pointing to the fact he'll make his long awaited debut for the North London club in the new season if Spurs can resist the temptation of loaning him out to continue his development.

Speaking post-match, Pochettino was quoted as saying by Spurs official website : ''We need to take positive things. Luke and Oliver are having time in competition with the first team and I think that is an amazing experience and it’s fantastic for our youngsters to live that experience.

''We need to take positive things in a negative period with some injuries to players.''

He continued : ''The reality is that they’ve played against Roma and again tonight, fantastic.

''Luke has played the most, Oliver, Cameron, Anthony… they now have the chance to show their quality. I’m so happy with them."

The 21-year-old Luke Amos has been on the books of Tottenham Hotspur since the age of nine.

Ifeanyi Emmanuel

Like I said before, he doesn't need FIFA approval to play for Nigeria because he is yet to play any official match for England youth cadets.
