Yes they were tipped to be our next LBs but their development stalled. Sorry, they are not good enough for now.

So by moving from Enyimba to Kalmar and maintaining a starting shirt Chima Akas' development stalled? Ok good to know.

BTW the brother asked a question and I answered it to the best of my ability so you guys should talk your own, name the left footed left back u personally want.

Nobody saying to invite anybody but it wouldn't be a ridiculous request TBH. How many active Nigerian fullbacks do u know about in Europe?

It wouldn't be a ridiculous request. But the truth is they cannot add any value to what we have now.

Abeg reason me, what do we have now? idowu has not played this season and Aina will have to face the right back position now that Ebuehi is injured. So technically what we have is Echiejile.

Idowu has not played this season, how many weeks are we into the season? So Rohr should not invite him? So Rohr should drop Idowu and replace him with Madu or Akas? Na so dem dey drop players?

Aina is available for both LB and RB.

Shehu is at RB. Omeruo also plays RB.

So please we don't need likes of Akas and Madu. They will not add any value.

Enough of playing players outside dier natural positions, rohr and his crew av d time now to scout for a proper left/right full backs, shehu and co can switch back to deir natural positions. Ebuehi/aina shld jostle for d rb,while d coaches look for a new left back to battle with idowu.......or ECHIE.....SOME PPU NI WAN HEAR DT NAME AGAIN grin grin grin

Switching positions of players is part of the national teams set-up.

Modern day players typically fit into 2 or 3 roles almost perfectly well.

It is not a problem bro.

Sad about Vic Moses retirement. He was our best player during the WCQs.
We lose a great individual player but we might turn out to be better off as a team. Like someone said, his body language at times made it look like he wasn't committed enough.
Wish him the best and hopefully one of Onyekuru, Samuel Kalu, Bazee, etc steps up.

Not really surprised by Moses retirement. I think, he does not get motivated to come for friendlies or games like seychelles. Big games , yes but we have seen him pull out of friendlies.

Wish him the best for the future.

My assertion an excrement? U must be a big f00l. Which committed player retires from the national team at his peak age (27) for no just cause? So u think Moses would have called time at this age if he was repping the other nation (England)? Dude was never interested and he is such an opportunist for waiting till the worldcup was over before leaving.

Just yesterday, I was tempted to reel out what the future of the Super Eagles Wing Options would look like but something stopped me so I waited. I had no idea Victor Moses was about to drop a huge one.

Personally, I am not surprised by his retirement. He has served us these past six years and given us great Joy especially in 2013. Afcon 2013 is the major tournament and period that Moses will be most remembered for. He gave us his very best and absolute beast mode in that tournament in South Africa. I will never forget that.

He may only be 27 but I think he now realizes that he won't be that indispensable anymore in this post-Russia era especially with the Rise of "The New Breed of Wingers/Wing Forwards" in Nigerian football for the present and for the long term future. I think he realizes too that his once-upon-a-time enthusiasm to dorn the GWG has hit a nadir point and national team invitations no longer rages a fire in his bones. He realizes he doesn't feel the drive anymore to continue so he is right to step down from the stage and allow the Fast-Rising Youngsters to take centre stage in our team's present and future.

It was only six years with Victor but he gave me and Nigeria more Laughters than tears. He was the cornerstone alongside Mikel Obi at Afcon 2013 in Nigeria's third African Triumph and it is for this we will most remember the lad.

So long Victor "The Dazzling" Moses... It's been a pleasure.

I present to you the present and future of the Super Eagles Wing Roles:

- Alexander Iwobi (Arsenal FC, England): Although his future lies in the CAM roles. But still classed as an LM/LW and RM/RW.

- Henry Onyekuru (Everton FC, England on loan to Galatasaray, Turkey) - LW, RW, CF.

- Isaac Success Ajayi (Watford FC, England) - LW, CF, RW.

- Moses Simon Daddy-Ajala (UD Levante, Spain) - LW, RW, SS, WF.

- Samuel Kalu (Girondins Bordeaux, France) - RW, LW, RM.

- (If we get him) Ademola Lookman (Everton FC, England) - LW, RW, SS.

- Noah Sarenren Bazee (Hannover 96, Germany) - RW, LW, SS.

- Peter Olayinka (SK Slavia Prague, Czech Rep.) - CF, LW, RW.

- Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld (Club Brugge, Belgium) - LW, RW, SS.

- Last but not least... Classed as a striker/centre forward nowadays but still an option on the wings in certain set-ups.... The Next President of Nigeria himself... The Nigerian WC Legend.. grin cheesy

"AHMED MUSA (Al Nassr, Saudi Arabia)"

Others for the future:

- Samuel Chukwueze (Villarreal CF, Spain) - RW, LW.

- Hillary Gong (Vitesse Arnhem, Holland) - RW

- Philip Azango Alayo (AS Trencin, Slovakia) - LW

IN ALL, THANK YOU VICTOR MOSES... Glad to know that Rohr accepts his decision. We march on... #SUPEREAGLESFOREVER

Great news! So happy for him.

I somehow want V. Moses to announce his international retirement.
I made this comment on August 6 and 8 days later Victor Moses did the needful.

Thanks Victor. Thanks for putting smiles on our faces! Thanks for serving Nigeria! Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors.

Your exploit for the national team will forever remain with us in our memories.

Is it not better he retires now instead of the excuses not to honour invitations?

It was obvious this guy didn’t love us, I guess those who complained about his body language were right after all. But On a serious note I can’t feel bad when there are players like henry, kalu, bazee, success coming through the ranks, they all would be less selfish than Moses for the SE.
And just like that I don’t give a shit if he gets game or rots on the bench at Chelsea, in fact I’ll be rooting more for Hudson-Odoi to get game time over him has a blue fan. loyalty is priceless.

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday met behind closed doors with the Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung.

The meeting started at 4.20 p.m shortly after Dalung arrived the acting president’s office in the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The world football ruling body, FIFA, is threatening to sanction Nigeria over government interference.

The meeting was still in progress at the time of filing this report.

Details Later.

Who is next to call it over with the SEs?

Alex Iwobi? (He might want to change career. He seems to be interested in the Film Industry) who knows?

Mikel Obi?

Elderson Echiejile? (Long overdue. I'll gladly welcome his)

Onazi?

Ighalo? (If he no wan retire. Fans go retire am)

Joel Obi?

John Ogu?

Come on wipe those tears Egbon... This is no bad news at all. Victor Moses' retirement was kinda inevitable to me and some on here. I think it is okay for him to step aside and let the others led by Moses Simon and Henry Onyekuru take up the gauntlet. His Fire is out and so he must bow out. It is the age of the new breed of Nigerian Wingers... So Long Moses. Now to usher in a new Moses and the Super Henry.... cool

I am happy, so much happy, VicMo is retiring from International Football. How i wish Lukman can be convinced to rep the GWG colors.

I am hoping on Onyekuru to wholly fill up the tiny Vacuum he's leaving behind. No big Shoe to fill here, cos he had been serving us Slippers.

Over to Onyekuru to proudly and enthusiastically don the No. 11 Shirt!
