Lol .. abeg commot Iwobi from your list. He has that fire in his bones. Nothing like Moses who just bowed out.

Mikel... I think he will want to lead this team one last time to Afcon 2019 and call it quits immediately afterwards. His commitment is not in doubt. It has never been in doubt.

I reserve comments on the rest. wink

I am happy, so much happy, VicMo is retiring from International Football. How i wish Lukman can be convinced to rep the GWG colors.

I am hoping on Onyekuru to wholly fill up the tiny Vacuum he's leaving behind. No big Shoe to fill here, cos he had be serving us Slippers

Over to Onyekuru to proudly and enthusiastically don the No. 11 Shirt!
hahaha...

I know you go be among those wey go de happy with the news...

Atleast Eagles camp will always have a full and complete house on time. No more news that someone somewhere is yet to arrive. No more news of fake injuries when we are about playing friendlies and lesser teams.

He is gone for good.

Seriously I am elated with the News. Someone that can't displace a Teen at Chelsea, but thinking of himself as CR7 of SE?!

Well...... I wonder how he's gonna break into Sarri starting XI!

Best of Luck to him!

Moses' commitment has always been a question! Finally, it is over now. No one should suggest that he comes out of retirement o.

We need to stop pampering these guys. He felt like a god towards the ending of his international career.

I fell among the lots that supported him... Those days are far gone now.

Any player that is under performing, uncommitted to the course should be axed. Attitude is Everything!

Our boys performed woefully at the just concluded World Cup and only few of them showed remorse.

Abeg who is begging them to play for us? There are more than 1million Nigerians that will jump to the opportunity of putting on the green white green.

That's why I want the coach to look deep and fish out the players who are willing to put on the GWG. We have them scattered all over the world.

The Super Eagles is bigger than one player.
Nigeria is bigger than an individual!

It is time to get it right with our football.

I just de joke about Iwobi's own...

That boy is one of the few dedicated ones among the younger generations.

He still got years of service in him.

So what then will be Victor Moses' place in our history books? What is his legacy? I am pretty much sure he won't be remembered as one of Nigeria's Greats or G.O.A.Ts in our football history. But what is his status in our history books now? Hmmmm...

How time flies.... Once the most beloved of the nation especially at and after Afcon 2013 but from Post-WC 2014, he turned into a Villain in the GWG.

Loogan:
It was obvious this guy didn’t love us, I guess those who complained about his body language were right after all. But On a serious note I can’t feel bad when there are players like henry, kalu, bazee, success coming through the ranks, they all would be less selfish than Moses for the SE.
And just like that I don’t give a shit if he gets game or rots on the bench at Chelsea, in fact I’ll be rooting more for Hudson-Odoi to get game time over him has a blue fan. loyalty is priceless.

Now una eye dun dey open. People called me a hater for calling him out all the time due to his puerile gimmicks. Dude has always been so indifferent about the state of the team. He never cared and he never bled green like most players of the team, past and present. I am Happy he is gone at last

I won't lie to you Sir Chris. I also sensed Moses' loss of passion a long time ago but I just wanted to focus on the team succeeding no matter what. I avoided talks on Moses' commitment like a plague because at the time, our coaches still rated him and found him valuable to our cause. So it was the logical thing to just show support but inwardly, I knew his days were numbered. I have cut Moses so much slack and turned a blind eye on his many showings of loss of enthusiasm in the GWG but time was coming and that time is now.

I cannot deny he did make us smile in 2013 though. But after that, he went downhill in his zeal from that point post-Brazil 2014.

TheSuperNerd:
Just yesterday, I was tempted to reel out what the future of the Super Eagles Wing Options would look like but something stopped me so I waited. I had no idea Victor Moses was about to drop a huge one.

Personally, I am not surprised by his retirement. He has served us these past six years and given us great Joy especially in 2013. Afcon 2013 is the major tournament and period that Moses will be most remembered for. He gave us his very best and absolute beast mode in that tournament in South Africa. I will never forget that.

He may only be 27 but I think he now realizes that he won't be that indispensable anymore in this post-Russia era especially with the Rise of "The New Breed of Wingers/Wing Forwards" in Nigerian football for the present and for the long term future. I think he realizes too that his once-upon-a-time enthusiasm to dorn the GWG has hit a nadir point and national team invitations no longer rages a fire in his bones. He realizes he doesn't feel the drive anymore to continue so he is right to step down from the stage and allow the Fast-Rising Youngsters to take centre stage in our team's present and future.

It was only six years with Victor but he gave me and Nigeria more Laughters than tears. He was the cornerstone alongside Mikel Obi at Afcon 2013 in Nigeria's third African Triumph and it is for this we will most remember the lad.

So long Victor "The Dazzling" Moses... It's been a pleasure.

I present to you the present and future of the Super Eagles Wing Roles:

- Alexander Iwobi (Arsenal FC, England): Although his future lies in the CAM roles. But still classed as an LM/LW and RM/RW.

- Henry Onyekuru (Everton FC, England on loan to Galatasaray, Turkey) - LW, RW, CF.

- Isaac Success Ajayi (Watford FC, England) - LW, CF, RW.

- Moses Simon Daddy-Ajala (UD Levante, Spain) - LW, RW, SS, WF.

- Samuel Kalu (Girondins Bordeaux, France) - RW, LW, RM.

- (If we get him) Ademola Lookman (Everton FC, England) - LW, RW, SS.

- Noah Sarenren Bazee (Hannover 96, Germany) - RW, LW, SS.

- Peter Olayinka (SK Slavia Prague, Czech Rep.) - CF, LW, RW.

- Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld (Club Brugge, Belgium) - LW, RW, SS.

- Last but not least... Classed as a striker/centre forward nowadays but still an option on the wings in certain set-ups.... The Next President of Nigeria himself... The Nigerian WC Legend.. grin cheesy

"AHMED MUSA (Al Nassr, Saudi Arabia)"

Others for the future:

- Samuel Chukwueze (Villarreal CF, Spain) - RW, LW.

- Hillary Gong (Vitesse Arnhem, Holland) - RW

- Philip Azango Alayo (AS Trencin, Slovakia) - LW

IN ALL, THANK YOU VICTOR MOSES... Glad to know that Rohr accepts his decision. We march on... #SUPEREAGLESFOREVER
