Amaechi and greater percentage of his people are opportunistic Igbos.

Ndiigbo would be stupid supporting Amaechi and his ilk.

If Amaechi want to prove his Igbo heritage, let him campaign for an Igbo candidate like he did for Buhari. The tail does not wag the dog. It can not be us that would have to support him, for him to be Igbo. It's him that would support us, to prove his allegiance. cool

Very committed to Igbo cause. No iota of opportunism about him.

I'm glad you are not him. Atleast, now I have found another like him from Ukwuani/Ndokwa axis.

Jisike.

lol look deep pazienza

in the enuani axis Igbo awareness is about 95%

The ukwuani axis is about 60%

I can't say about the ika axis though I have seen some proud ones too

In general, Igbo awareness in anioma is about 70%

I don't care what you believe nwokem but the truth can set us all free. Have you asked yourself why it is just one flight Ethiopia land at the airport for almost 5 yrs? In the eyes of FG the airport is not recognized in Nigeria as an international airport.. because they only consider Lagos, Abuja, PH and Kano as the only international airports in Nigeria. Even Kaduna stands a better chance right now because it has been recently equipped.

Jacob Zuma, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and Akofo Ado all flew into Imo state directly from their countries because Owerri airport is an international airport. If Owerri airport is an international airport, why then do you think that Enugu airport is a local airport?

I think its about 85% percent. You know the deniers tend to be far much louder than their real numbers.

Exactly.
PH pictures and discussions are not needed here.

Also, PH has no direct access to Atlantic without passing through Rivers/Water bodies controlled by Ijaws.

So, I don't really see What game changing factor, PH adds to greater Igboland.
PH port would face same challenge as Obuaku port.
If I were to choose one, Obuaku would be the obvious one.
PH is the new Jerusalem, and should Nigeria cease to exist , the Ijaws and Ikwerres would have to share the city in peace or live in pieces. I'd rather we stay off PH and allow them sort themselves out.
The Ijaws are cornering the entire SS coastline from Edo(Gelegele) to Akwa Ibom (Ibeno/Eastern Obolo) and are up against bitter minorities neighbors who lay claim to these territories from Gelegele, through Warri to Eastern Obolo. The Ijaws are spread too thin and have neither the number nor wherewhithal to maintain these territories.

Ndiigbo need a sea access and we have the numbers, strategic thinking suggests that we stay off Ijaw/Ikwerre issues to keep our options open. Ikwerres have proven to be no more brother to us than the Ijaws are, they are just our neighbors, the better we start viewing them that way, the better for us.

It's often the case that groups, Ikwerres inclusive put their group aspirations first, even if it's injurious to Ndiigbo. It's time Ndiigbo learnt to do same. ie puting Igbo interest first and foremost, even if it means another group suffers. No friends in survival, only Allies and foes.
Let me not say more here.

Aba is a also a city with better future sustainability than PH, it has-been allowed to rot by cursed and inept leadership Abia State has been under, from 1999 to date, with no end to the rape of that Great Enyimba city in sight.

How about we discuss more of Aba here and none of PH?
Can we do that?

Chai. Its good to see that there are people like you who go straight to the point rather than beat around the bush. The only reason I wanted Ikwerre to be part of the greater Igboland was because of the port Harcourt seaport.

Let us hope what you have said is true. I know Ebonyi governor resisted investment to resuscitate the company because IBETO chairman was from Anambra. I grieve when our people fail to think globally.

If you insisted that a set percentage will be local content will be part of the deal with even foreign investors, then it's a different thing. Why would you flat out reject an investor because he is from Anambra? Yet you are willing to sell the same factory to Dangote? We are in trouble the way our people reason through the anus. I will be happy to see the company running and giving us quality cement we used to get from NigerCem. All the houses built in 1970s & 1980s in SE were built from NigerCem. There was nothing like building collapse then, even though the architects then were not really qualified.

Since Dangote flooded Igboland with fake cement he calls 42-R, which always cracks walls and takes several weeks to dry or harden, buildings have been collapsing like pack of cards in Igboland

I saw a break down of urban cities in Nigeria on Wikipedia and I decided to share it here. After seeing this list, I think this should be one of the major points we should use in promoting our region as the largest urban geopolitical zone in Nigeria. Another thing I noticed was that the Northwest geopolitical zone has 7 States.
Here is the statistics from demographia as written by Wikipedia:
Note: All Wikipedia's data on urban landmass are gotten from demographia.

Southeast: 29,525 sqkm
Number of recognized urban cities: 5
Onitsha: 1,965 sqkm
Nsukka: 645 sqkm
Aba: 91 sqkm
Owerri: 130 sqkm
Enugu: 78 sqkm
Urban Percentage: 9.85%

South south: 84,562 sqkm
Number of recognized urban cities: 4
Uyo: 729 sqkm
Port Harcourt: 158 sqkm
Benin City: 228 sqkm
Warri: 142 sqkm
Urban percentage: 1.49%

South west: 79,665 sqkm
Number of recognized urban cities: 6
Lagos: 1,425 sqkm
Ibadan: 466 sqkm
Ikorodu: 130 sqkm
Osogbo: 104 sqkm
Akure: 117 sqkm
Abeokuta: 62 sqkm
Urban percentage: 2.89%

North West: 176,303 sqkm
Number of recognized urban cities: 4
Kano: 251 sqkm
Kaduna: 153 sqkm
Zaria: 88 sqkm
Sokoto: 88 sqkm
Urban percentage: 0.33%

North Central: 242,425sqkm
Number of recognized urban cities: 3
Abuja: 225 sqkm
Ilorin: 83 sqkm
Jos: 70 sqkm
Urban percentage: 0.16%

North East: 272,395 sqkm
Number of recognized urban cities: 2
Maiduguri: 155 sqkm
Bauchi: 88 sqkm
Urban percentage: 0.09%

You can see clearly that Igbo hardwork pays and even those who claim to be more economically viable are not as urban as the south east. Assuming cities like Awka, Nnewi, Umuahia and Abakaliki were also taken into account, the SE urban percentage should have been around 15%-20%. Whenever anyone tells you that the SE is the most backward region in Nigeria, remind the person that the SE is the most urbanized geopolitical zone in Nigeria and back it up with data from Wikipedia. By the way, how can we promote the likes of Awka, Nnewi and other cities which were not taken into account so that they can be recognized as urban cities next year because, I see no reason why Ikorodu, Warri, Osogbo and Bauchi will make the list while Awka, Umuahia, Abakaliki and others will be left behind. It was also sad not to see my Asaba in that list. We also have much work to do in Enugu because I used to think that Owerri was the smallest urban capital in the east not knowing that it was our eastern capital city of Enugu. Nsukka's position in the list is also shocking. Abeg Spider88 should bring us more pics of Nsukka. From the stats, Onitsha is the largest urban city in Nigeria.

Bia, this is a respectable forum. Stop posting Wikipedia things here.

You should have cited the page so i will change the data myself and post it here.

Mind you, i know SE is the most urbanized region in Nigeria. But Wikipedia isn't a credible source. Did you even notice that Nsukka and Osogbo are bigger than Aba? grin grin grin grin

You should know that much if you graduated from any university in Nigeria. My yoruba friend in school wrote everything about every Yoruba town there. I'm sure he wrote a few about Igbo, but didn't want to offend me by telling me. Please stop citing wikipedia in a respectable forum like this. You probably wrote some of that data.

Recently in June, Ariaria Market traders got their own license to produce their own embedded power independently. This will be a game changer if successfully implemented.

https://www.premiumtimesng.com/regional/ssouth-east/272078-ariaria-market-gets-power-generation-distribution-licences.html

If this project becomes successful, then you will see Market organizations all over the east especially main market, Onitsha start generating their own power.
I can confirm that cinstruction is ongoing at the project site (opposite ariaria main gate). The problem is that EEDC has taken them to court just as happened with geometric oower

The trap here is dragging in an unwilling partner into a union, I thought we should have learnt our lessons from Zik failed experiments with the North?

Ikwerre officially dont identify as Igbo, this is the reality we must work with.
Nevertheless, all genuine Ikwerre people are welcomed in Igbo gatherings and can even lead Igboland if they prove capable.
This is the way to go.
