What boggles my mind is the fact the Ebonyi state has one of the lowest allocation in the nation. Yet they are doing all these solid infrastructures. I am suspecting that they might have cheaper cost of labor in their projects which helps them extend their budget.

Enugu is due for super flyovers at some strategic locations. it can add to the beauty thou..
I grew up in Enugu and still drawn to the city 15 years and counting after relocation. The layout of that city is unique. It was planned in such a way that there are many adjoining streets leading to different locations. I still do not know where one expects fly overs in the city centre. I may be wrong but i stand to be corrected.I do not see the need for fly overs within the city centre. Except maybe at Ogbete/Chris Chemist Area to curtail the market madness that was once showed by Mr Spyder. In the absence of fly overs, sculptures, sculptors and water fountains can be erected in strategic locations.
Imagine having this kind of Lion Sculpture with water fountain in front of UNEC?
Then such wide and iconioc ones in other strategic locations to complement the one at Rangers Avenue

For those who don't know yet, Genesis cinemas pulled out of enugu due to low patronage as majority of enugu residents who visit that mall only go there for sight-seeing and snapping selfies. Most of them lack the financial muscle to make expensive purchases and also consider cinema-viewing as waste of the little disposable income they hold.

I don't understand the layout of Enugu city because i've never lived there. But i think flyovers can be built to connect different towns in the city. Like connecting the main town to the surburbs. I don't expect it to be bult inside the city centers. I aso think world class water fountains won't be a bad idea to be situated in strategic places inside the town.

In this case you're not fixing anything. You're just making it better.

What Enugu needs the most is a ring road to connect different parts of the city.

I think Ebonyi state is the second to the last in terms of allocations in Nigeria. And there's virtually no internally generated revenue apart from collection from quarries in Ebonyi. Every governor should go and learn work from Dave Umahi.

Enugu's saving grace is the 2 major highways running in the outskirts of the main city. This helps to divert all outward bound traffic out of the city centre. Enugu has about 7 flyovers and a tunnel to keep its local traffic separate from those moving around the state on the highway.

. You are absolutely correct. The underpass you showed at end of Chime Avenue and Tunnel are vital traffic buffers. Sure, most of the flyovers are along Enugu-PH expressway and Enugu-Onitsha expressway too. I maintain the layout of the city may not accomodate flyovers. The pictures below are the new flyovers in Lagos and the aesthetics on them to increase the city's ambience. I guess that explains the clamour for flyovers within the city by some people here. But then, the dynamics of Lagos and Enugu are worlds apart. They are too different to tow same aesthetic paths.

Forget that guy bros. I've come to the conclusion he's lost a few marbles, so i just scroll down from his posts. How can someone who claims to be a human being, never mind being Igbo, keep a file of dead kinsfolk and disgusting old pics of cities and towns in Igboland in readiness to upload them in the name of e-fight!? This leads me to believe he's not actually Igbo!

Without even asking, the mods ought to have removed any gory pics he's uploaded and ban his quarrelsome arsse till the second coming of Christ! But they wouldn't do that for obvious reasons!

If i were to put a Igbo hater in his place and give him the abuse he so richly deserves, come and see how they'll come out from hiding and ban me with immediate alacrity!
Chino is great guy, but I wonder why he aims his fire to his kinsmen sometimes. One thing I noticed about him is his passionate attachment to Anambra State.

Exactly, most people will pass through Enugu and still not see anything in Enugu cheesy Why?
A person coming from Makurdi to Aba or PH will have to circle the nucleus of Enugu city and zoom past without seeing Independence layout, New layout, Obiagu, Abakpa, Coal camp, GRA, Uwani, Achara layout, New haven, Idaw river or Awkunanaw areas of Enugu.

It was started during the last administration. I believe it for Massive water tank that will supply pipe borne water to the new "Ochudo" city. I remember that previous administration planned a large market and industrial zone in that area.
