All that ends well, is well! 5 minutes of kolomental is allowed per week. May it be well with us and may GCMS notes not be your portion for it is not by how perfect but by Grace and, no matter how bad you believe your case is.... Someone's own is worse than yours.

May we be better, so our children curse us not. So let us channel our energies to positive deeds and increase our level of personal integrity towards building a greater Nigeria. While having my bath this morning, I began to ponder.... Imagine amounts for tuition, visa application, agency fees, Case notes, Transcript, Courier service, etc etc.... If we all contribute just ₦10,000 or even 100 dollars each, perhaps we can start a great cause and build a world class Institute of Technology and College of Medicine and may even attract funding. We need to begin to look inwards as discouraging as it may seem (because maybe the treasurer and exco's go chop the money ab initio sef.... SMH). Forgive me. 5 minutes ranting and self contradictory time!

Not yet 8am and all this vexing. It's gonna be a looping weekend. Me sef, I've been seeing mails about picnics, sightseeing, and even parties!

Well said sir.

Yes you are right.

My advice to everyone traveling to Canada is that they should make sure they complete the 1 year Nysc program before going.
You can start processing during your service year, it will surely end well.
Most of us wants to go to Canada to seek a a better future for ourselves but who knows we might still come back to take a position in Nigeria in the neaest future.
No ones knows how tomorrow will be, Adeosun didn't expect it to happen like this.

Depending on the school refund policy, as for my school, I got a mail last week. They said if I don’t write them a letter of withdrawal before Monday next week, they will deduct $1000 and health insurance fee from my tuition cheese(though that was the initial aggregate) if I eventually want my money back.
Some school don’t refund that is why you MUST read the T&C carefully before Erroling with the school

The Memorial University of Newfoundland is 5 times bigger than the University of Prince Edward Island in campus size, student enrollment and financial endowment.

It’s a simple decision in my opinion.

More importantly, you may want to check out the program reputation before deciding on which one to apply to.

tongue tongue tongue

Soothing!

mightyokwy,
The content of an LOE can begin this way...

The Visa Officer,
Deputy High Commission of Canada,
4 Anifowoshe street,
Victoria Island,
Lagos, Nigeria.

Sir/Madam,

Sub: Re-application for Study Permit

Mightyokwy. 2 years Masters in Computer Science University of British Columbia.

I applied for a Study Permit for Canada on the 15th of July, 2018 for my masters Programme in computer sciences at the University of British Columbia for the fall term 2018 and got refused on the 24th of August, 2018 the second time.

The Study Permit refusal was based on the following reasons;

• PURPOSE OF VISIT
• CURRENT EMPLOYMENT SITUATION
• LIMITED EMPLOYMENT PROPECTS
• FINANCIAL STATUS/ ASSETS

I also ordered my GCMS notes and have gone through the detailed rejection reasons. I wish to offer the following clarifications with a request to kindly reconsider my application and grant me the Study Permit.

GCMS NOTES;

COPY AND PASTE YOUR GCMS NOTE HERE:

The ground for rejection of my Visa application and clarification are mentioned here under;

1-) PURPOSE OF VISIT - Discuss about the lucrativeness and reasonableness of undertaking your proposed program in Canada at a high expense when there are similar available program here in Nigeria. Show strong correlation between your previous studies, current employment status with your proposed program. Also provide documentations to evident your claims.

2-) FAMILY TIES IN COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE - In as much as we know that the visa officers are not custodians of knowledge, you need to provide sufficient ties that can compel your return back home like : Landed properties, business assets, investments, shares certificates etc. Go further by listing out the obligations you've here in Nigeria which you can't abandon for a foreign education. While doing this, provide documentations to support your claims.

3-) CURRENT EMPLOYMENT SITUATION - Talk more on the experience you have gained so far in your current employment and how it's translated to your intended program. Mention your duties at your place of work that have triggered your passion to further your studies abroad. Tender documents like employment letters, introductory letter, payslips slips, etc... in support of your employment status.

4-) Furthermore, pick out some points raised by the Visa officer from the GCMS notes, discuss about them and provide brief explanation.

I would be grateful if you reconsider my application and permit me to study Masters in Computer Sciences at the University of British Columbia.

Thank you for your time and reconsideration.

Your's Faithfully,

Mightyokwy

I hope this gives you an insight of what you seek. All the best!

Insightful!

Good morning elders and colleagues in the house.

Please what advice would you give someone in Canada on visiting visa but has already applied for study permit from Nigeria since June online.

The permit is still not out but the person is still in Canada, though vacation is over. Should the person return to Nigeria or stay in Canada to wait for final decision. Please advise. Thank you all.

Just gather all tools needed, constant power, printer, laptop and enough data then you start work. It might take you two to three days, remember Tuesday is maintenance day.

You think I can upload those docs successfully ?? I thought there is a particular size allowed on CIC website.

I think it's 4mb per file. The SOA, Admission Letter/ Academic docs, SOP/LOE, Family Information Form, Application Form, etc will not be in the same folder.

For instance, If you have 5 files to upload at 4MB per file, That's up to 20MB.

My candid advice to your friend
Let he/she return home SIMPLE. The person is even taking risk cause his/her application is still under processing.
He’d better return home
