Goldenegg: Please kindly instruct the person to return home. Staying back in Canada when the vacation/visiting visa has already elapsed will endanger the applicant ongoing study visa application. 2 Likes |

Lagos2canna: Mrs Adeosun's scandal is the least of CIC's worries. They probably don't even know about her. CIC's crackdown on Nigerians did not start yesterday, but a long time, based on disrepute created by our predecessors who were granted the privilege of entry to Canada. Many passed documents that were later revealed to be forged. CIC only discovered because after their entry to Canada, they went into a spree of white collar crimes costing the Canadian people billions of dollars. Go to any Canadian or American prison and you will be surprised how many Nigerians are languishing in their jails. Nigerians are reputed in the west as very dishonest people and have left in their wake, a track record that will live in infamy. Thus the reason today for much scrutiny on Nigerian applicants and the reason we continue to bear the brunt of the injustices pepetrated by our predecessors. Ps: those giving the blame on our forefathers, what did our forefathers do? Our forefathers actually did well. Those were actually glory days and much simpler and better times when Nigeria was good and nobody had a reason to stay in a damn foreign country. Those days will come back again and much depend on us. Let us continue to aspire to good works and prove the naysayers wrong. 7 Likes |

Ezegees:15mil or more |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Dwebb55: 9:54pm On Sep 15, 2018 |
Ezegees: There is no amount per se. What you need to find out is how much your first year of study in Canada will cost. That will include your tuition, living expenses, accommodation and others like health care and transportation. When you determine this, convert it to Naira and that's your starting point. Next, your sponsor must be able to afford this AND also show that they can also meet their own expenses at the same time. If the sponsor isn't a close family member, the burden of proof is much higher and the best thing is for them to transfer whatever funds into your own account. Hope this helps! |

odimbannamdi:Like others had said PEI stands for Prince Edward Island. Secondly, what I meant by job opportunities is that in these two provinces you may find it a bit difficult to get a job that will sustain you during or after your studies due to insufficient job availability for job seekers. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Awuuga: 11:31pm On Sep 15, 2018 |
Yes he can. You’ll have to include your sister’s birth certificate, her husband’s birth certificate and their marriage certificate to your application. If he is your sponsor you’re expected to submit his bank statement. Regards. 11111funmi: |

galala123:So humourous!!! Certainly we are all desperate to travel. But as I always see here by people looking for sponsors for their applications when they don't have the adequate finances. Lemme tell you all the simple truth. Menial jobs can never cater fully for your school fees which are in thousands of dollars and your house rents at thesame time..some international students both in the U.S and Canada are finding it difficult because these 2 countries are popular study destinations. Most Students going to the U.k always have the tuition already settled.. As people are heading to Canada to study, please be financially prepared too for at least have 1yr tuition fee and accomodation standby if it's a 2years program cos even school work load na big stress on its own if you have the mindset on menial jobs for your school fees and upkeep too, e go over you.. Don't think , lets enter first, we would survive. You will survive but the hardship go hit you that you may want to regret and even abandon schooling for hustle. 8 Likes |

Hy. I'm CHUKWUEMEKA by name. actually I'm still an undergraduate but hoping earnestly to further my education outside Nigeria. There is one thing that has been bothering me. It's my passport. I have a passport already, but the problem is that the DATE OF BIRTH on my passport is not same as the one on my other documents. The error occurred when I was registering for the passport, a wrong and inconsistent birth certificate was used. Now I've gotten the right one and also a sworn affidavit. Please how do I go about effecting the change of DATE OF BIRTH on my passport. please i need help. Thank you. |

olaxmatic07: Maybe you should answer the question yourself. Shey you applied for STUDY PERMIT bah? So be careful cause you wouldn’t want to experience the outcome in port of entry. It will be disastrous! |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Austacus: 3:21pm On Sep 16, 2018 |
At least one month before the school resumption date is preferable(if they ask you why so early tell dem you wan acclimatize the environ) and mind you, you won’t work throughout the one month. |
