I am with @kokaneprodigy. I don’t think a Gundoezi/ Torreria combination will be successful, especially in the EPL.

A 19 year old and a 22 year old manning our central midfield in their first EPL season is nothing but a receipe for disaster. While both are exceptionally talented, they need experienced players around them to provide direction and cover. Gundoezi is good but he needs a calm, experienced head to help when he wanders or losses the ball. He has the tendency of getting carried away.

Even though he played higher in the second half, he tracked back and provided that pivot along with Torreira that provided good cover for the back 4. On the offense, he kept it very simple and distributed the ball excellently for us which put us in good attacking positions very early.

I just hope Sokratis’s injury is not serious because he has been tremendous for us over the last 3 games including the Europa.

Guendouzi is skilled but lacks experience and gases out fast. We weren’t run over at the middle that often cos Xhaka/Torreira. I’ve always opined that Xhaka be given freedom to join the attack with a holding 4 playing beside him. He’s got great passing skill up field and has eye for goals too.
You play to ur player’s strength. Guendozi can start Cup games.

Exactly what I'm saying, its understandable xhaka should start ahead of him because he's more experienced in top flight football, has national team's caps and knows the team and league far more than Matteo..

But Matteo in 2/3 years will very likely displace xhaka,because to me, he's more talented,mobile, energetic,covers ground,better composure/confidence and swagger on the ball.

you would have to be a real misery guts not to warm to Danny as a human being. Modest, grounded, hard working and a real team player, I have to say that as a man he is one of the most likeable Arsenal players ever. But, sadly, he is just short of top class and we all know that. I do not say he is remotely a bad player, as he clearly isn’t. But we should be realistic and admit he is not worth a Prem place , in front of our two top strikers. But he can play wide and always works hard, so personally I would play him,He was bad under Wenger but different under Fergie and Emery, with Auba and Laca(both more centrally) against Watford and leave both Ramsey AND Ozil out of the side. My team when all are fit for Prem games would be: Cech, Licht, Sokratis, Mavropanos(Holding), Monreal, Torreira, Maitland- Niles, Myki, Welbeck, Auba, Laca. You will see I leave out Bellerin, Mustafi and Xhaka, who I consider all weak links. Ramsey and Ozil are just not worth a shirt this season and Guendouzi would be first midfield change for sub. I might consider using Bellerin but ONLY as out and out winger. As a defender, along with Mustafi, he is a bad joke. There would be far more hard work and dynamism in this team than when the “weak links” play # Copied
