Something big is coming.

Nna, thanks for the constant updates about our great state but I have a question, what is the State government doing about the expansion of that Nkisi-Nkwelle road that cuts through 3-3 in Onitsha?
From college road, Omeife, housing gate and down to magazine junction GRA is always heavy with traffic especially during rush hours.
People living around that area leave their homes as early as 5:30-6:00 am in order to beat traffic and I've seen and heard of people leaving that area for other parts of the city because of this. When is the expansion as promised commencing before the 3-3 area of this city empties out?

It is a very critical road though a federal road but i have personally sighted some 2018 budget documents relating to the award of the road, including Awka road to DMGS among others. Expect the full report soon.

Election primary marred with violence are cancelled.

Y should APGA uphold a primary election marred with violence.

Y should three candidate come from Nnewi?

Y not just Bianca Ojukwu representing Nnewi?

APGA need to cancel that Senatorial primary and call another.

If Osun election, Ekiti can be canceal and rerun, the Senatorial primary for Anambra South should be canceled and rerun.

Please give us some break. Thank you

Woww, good to know though I never knew it was a federal road.
Anyway the State government should wade in as soon as possible, I stay around Odume layout Obosi so not directly affected by it but complaints from people, friends, relatives etc make me wonder why the State government isn't doing anything about it.
She could link the road to the Onitsha-Enugu express and Awka road from different points along the road or better still, open up the Akpaka GRA road from marine road into 3-3.
I guess the State government never had any inkling about the huge population of people in such a short period

Governor Obiano inaugurates reconstituted 11-member State Oil and Gas Committee

Kenechukwu Ofomah

An 11-member Anambra State Oil and Gas Committee was today inaugurated by Governor Willie Obiano.
The reconstituted committee was inaugurated at the country home of Governor Obiano, Aguleri.
Among the members are Engr. Frank Edozie Chairman, Commissioner for Tertiary and Technical Education, Professor Theresa Obiekezie, the Managing Director, Orient Petroleum Ltd, Engr. Sunny Okoye, Commissioner for Works, Engr Marcel Ifejiofor, Barr Patrick Igwebuike, Professor Charles Ofoegbu, Dr Arinze Agbim, Engr. Gibson Okeke, Dr Ike Nwobodo, Engr. Aloy Attah and Engr Emma Offor

Inauguration after inauguration yet not a ffucking change. Well, his time is almost over with nothing to show for it. No airport, no drainage system, no convention center, no completion of abandoned Onicha hotel, no trees , no running water, no jack, no pin ,no drop. I had confidence in Obiano but he is fast becoming a pathetic failure. All these education achievements he is always celebrating was Obi's work. Sad!

Nnaa, let me be honest with you. I like Obiano and I did campaigned for him because I thought he had that magic touch to turn things around very quickly using Anambra mountain of human resources but he has failed in that regard. I know Anambra has alot of pressing issues in all regions but we have what it takes to achieve whatever goal we set for ourselves. I really dont think Obiano has that X Factor in him. Maybe Soludo, Mark Okoye or Chidoka but Obiano haw nothing more to offer and he has qbout three years left, and what can you achieve in three years. I expected him to be more aggressive and intuitive. I expected him to intimidate Anambra billionaires into working together to achieve at least steady power supply. Ifeanyi Uba, Emeka Offor, Godwin Maduka,Coscharis, Ernest Azudialu and co can pull their resources to achieve greatness.

Images of the most colourful annual event in the city!

The Onitsha Ofala Youth Carnival is gradually taking the world stage as Onitsha youths parade the city on attires portraying different aspects of the traditional Onitsha community including honouring their historical ties with the Bini, Igala and Igbo people.

One thing you have to give to Onitsha people is there cultural steadfastness, unmatched! And you wonder why they are proud ? Culture elevates sense of self. You can never see an Onicha person saying were, chere, ihula, ugbua, otu ,abuo and whatever word not Anambraic..Woe unto thee that has abandoned his culture and may your bloodline become eternal slaves to my children!!!! Iseee!

Lorreto Adazi Nnukwu is so beautiful. When I become rich what I would do for Omanbala will shock the entire human race. If I have the power I will murder every Anambra man that is not working assiduously to move the state to higher status. There is no reason why Anambra should not be the most developed and beautiful state in Nigeria.

The first water resort is about to open in the city of Onitsha.

With a unique view of the Rivers Niger and Omambala, the Manyon's Water Resort should be your picnic destination for the Christmas.

bros, we do like to see these pictures on the pan igbo thread too. You once ran a thread on beautiful schools in Anambra. It will be nice to see them on the pan igbos thread. The world should also know that there is a revolution going on the the education sector in igboland, especially Anambra state. Where world class primary and secondary schools are springing up to offer quality education at affordable prices .

The first Igbo Bible was actually written in Onitsha dialect by the colonial masters. Onitsha has always been superior.

Why did the colonial masters use Onitsha Igbo dialect to write the first Igbo Bible if it weren't superior?
