Sorry to break it to you, but James Cameron didn't direct Terminator 3, bud. The only Terminator movie he directed is the one that starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and Robert Patrick in their primes; Terminator: Judgement Day. It won multiple oscars (4 oscars in total), and set a world record that lasted for years before another James Cameron movie finally broke it.
Terminator films really should have ended with Judgement Day, because any other attempt at a sequel will always gonna come up short against the the lofty heights attained by Judgement Day. However, greedy Hollywood executive insisted on milking the sheep. They brought back an aging Schwarzenegger (a travesty), signed up a relatively unknown director (after James Cameron politely declined) and proceeded to give us Rise of The Machines.
Not a bad movie if it's to be judged as a standalone, but when compared to James Cameron directed predecessor, it was an unintentional parody. a self-caricature. And thus began the gradual decline of the Terminator franchise.
oboy see analysis, and everything you said is very fvcking true though, especially as I also felt the part 3 would not match judgement day Also since you're so good in this field, there's a question I'd like to ask, 'Who do you think makes a better director James Cameron or Steven Spielberg, and reasons why you think so '..? Thanks |

if you truly believe the bolded then I wonder what you'll say about Matrix Reloaded/Revolution, because both movie clearly didn't match the standard the first made. |

Well, you are right there, anything can happen, Starr who they were trying to help might come looking for them since it wasn't shown that she disintegrated and that might be Lang's saving grace. But left to me, I still think they are trying to bench Antman in the next infinity war movie.
I keep wondering why Thanos snap didn't take effect in the Deadpool movie, or isn't Deadpool part of the MCU ?? Ant-Man will be in the next infinity War movie ...leaks say the next one is a time travel movie and being in the Quatum realm means Ant-Man will be in the movie coupled with the thanos Snap event |

about deadpool....don't know about that....heard it's a different universe entirely, just like the X-men are also in a different universe....but still in MCU....
I don't know if you get....use YouTube...they'll explain it better....different earths and universes under MCU.... Deadpool isn't part of the Marvel Cinematic world because They don't have the right to the character just like X-Men and fantastic 4 owing to the their deal with Fox studio but just like Spiderman came back ,a deal is going on for Marvel to have all their characters by 2020 |

Marvel once upon a time sold the rights to Deadpool, Wolverine, X-Men, etc to Fox for financial reasons. However, all that is about to change cuz Disney, Marvel parent company, is in the process of acquiring Fox, and when that happens, Marvel will once again have complete access to X-Men, Deadpool, X-Force, Silver Surfer, Wolverine, Magneto, Doctor Doom, Galactus, and Fantastic Four, I almost forgot the emboldened exist sef. Any thing new from them? |

Ant-man and the Wasp issa goooaaal! Unlike that Deadpool that was overhyped and over anticipated. But how will he get out of the quantum? And Thanos snap shouldn't have randomly picked all of the three guys communicating with Ant-man like that na. Its so unfair. At least one should be left behind. Anyways, Marvel know best sha. Thanks Good question, and a tricky one. It's tricky because it's not something you can give a straight answer to. There are several variables to consider like consistency, proficiency, niche, best battling average, and sum total. Let's take them one by one. - Consistency: Stephen Spielberg has been in the business for over 40 years and have been consistently good inspite of not specializing in a specific genre like Cameron. So in terms of consistency, he's the better director - Proficiency: Spielberg is an highly skilled movie director that is not restricted to a specific genre. He has charted and conquered several genres like Music, Drama, Biography, Period, Action, Adventure, War, etc. So we can authoritatively say Spielberg edged Cameron in Proficiency. - Versatility: Speilberg is highly skilled in several genres while Cameron is only a grand-master in the Sci-fi genre. Which brings us to... - Specialist/Niche: Cameron is great with visuals and compelling complex plots that is visionary as they are cutting edge. In the Sci-fi genre he's still unmatched. His directorial style has influenced the great British duo of Christopher Nolan and Ridley Scott. He almost never do any other genres, with only two notable exceptions being True Lies and Titanic. Cameron edged in the Niche department. - Battling Average: Cameron has a better battling average, helped by the fact that he's very picky, stays on a specific genre, and hasn't done as many movies as Speilberg. - Sum Total: In terms of sum total of filmography and achievements, Spielberg has more movies, the more proficient, more consistency, and more versatile. Whilst both has the same number of personal wins, Spielberg movies have won more Academy Awards. Conclusion: James Cameron may be a genius and help revolutionize the way Sci-fis are shot, but Spielberg is the better movie director, overall. 7 Likes 1 Share |

but the matrix trilogy is far better than the first 3 terminator movies
The first Terminator was average at best, but the concept is interesting enough to attract the interest of James Cameron. His Terminator: Judgement Day is iconic and won 4 Oscars as well as setting a box office record. Matrix trilogy brung up another interesting concept, but couldn't quite make a mark like Terminator 2 did. So, I'd say Terminator 2 alone trumps the trilogy, but as a franchise, Matrix trilogy has the better battling average. 2 Likes |

the terminator trilogy were much more fun,I enjoyed it more than the matrix trilogy IMO anyway.. The first matrix was good, the rest tho I found it quite unnecessary and a bit dumb tbh...good CGI and all that but nowhere near the first one |

Anyone that knows his onions when it comes to Hollywood movies will choose Spielberg ahead of Cameron based on versatility, consistency and proficiency. Spielberg does it all no matter the genre. I remember reading somewhere that Cameron is a perfectionist. This is probably why he doesn't stray away from his genre. |

While Judgement Day and Matrix were the powerhouse of both trilogies, Matrix Reloaded and Revolution though not matching the first part, was strong enough give good account of themselves unlike The Rise of the Machines that pale too much in comparison with its predecessors. |
