Cjrane2:i hope u are not talking about me. I have been vocal about ikwerre and anioma being igbo...but everywhere i turn, i see an ikwerre or anioma idiot who has something negative to say about us. How can i keep ignoring them without looking desperate. Even without ss igbos, plus even without the millions of igbos outside SE, we are still a large people. If not for the biafran dream, why do we need ss igbos? They are the one who need us. The only way a ss igbo can attain national position in nigeria is if we are supporting him...but we from SE can attain national position without them. Nobody sees them without seeing us. Nobody sees uche secundus or ifeanyi okowa without seeing igbo...but we can show ourselves without showing them. Let them be the one to look for us. 3 Likes 1 Share |

This Ikwerre topic sef. The time When it comes to doing an analysis of one's situation, the most reasonable analysis model is one that first satisfies conservative constraints. For the sake of the discussion, I'd say that it is reasonable to state that one such conservative constraint is that PH will not be available for any initiative. Haa Iwhereoha. 2 Likes |

In real life, the only way to come to a consensus is through discussion. Without the discussions that have been happening on this forum, I would have been one of those igbos that sees an ikwerre person immediately embrace them without knowing that that the person I am embracing hates everything about me. These discussion, though nasty sometimes, are very very important for innocent naive igbo children who are clueless about their neighbors and the reality of Nigeria. Millions of igbos have lost their properties and lives because of cluelessness and ignorance. THIS MUST STOP IN THIS GENERATION. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Cjrane I didn't understand your point well but if your point is about the Ikwerre we are discussing then you are wrong. What the larger Igbos from SE are saying is that we will no longer accept an Ikwerre and Some other group that denies Igbo to come all of a sudden to claim Igbo just to get a position in the Govt.. We have been used many times by these people we are not fools, just because we want our brothers to come in the fold shouldn't make us to look like fools. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

Bede2u: I don't agree with you. It will have a boomerang effect. This was the same thing you guys did to Igbos in delta whereby they accused you guys of denying them their Igboness. Not all of them agrees with what some handful ika are saying. You almost hardened their resolve against identifying with their larger igbo kins.I won't be a party to it. Stop wasting your precious time and energy. If I see an ikwerre who has proven to be Igbo all along, then I won't reject him. Ikwerre accepting or rejecting their igboness is inconsequential to me. Leave them with their identity crisis. Those who identify with us will be identified with, and those who reject us will be rejected as well. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Another thing we are saying is that PH is not an Igbo city, the Ikwerre and Ijaw are the owner their Air-port is not ours so anybody siting a project for Igbos must site else-where in the SE not PH. We have Enugu a recognized Igbo city we are saying that Enugu Air-port should be upgraded with more infrastructure just like that of other regions. Any Igbo man buying land an building mansion in PH should be left alone when the consequence starts. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Bede2u: As for me, ikwerre being or not being Igbo is inconsequential to me. If the ikwerre identifies as Igbo, I will identify with him. But if he rejects being Igbo then I reject him too as well. NO HARD FEELINGS. Despite knowing their Igbo heritage, I won't go begging them to be Igbo. However, i still have a friend of mine from diobu who keeps ringing it in my ears that his father tells them that they are unapologetic Igbos along with obiokpor, ndoki, Asa, who all share similar dialects with communities in abia south. So pls, I won't reject ALL ikwerre. Never. I will treat them as Igbo on an individual level, but as a people, I consider them IGBOID because of their identity crisis. 3 Likes 1 Share |

BudgIT exposes 17 states owing salaries, pensions despite N1.8trillion bailout BudgIT has again raised alarm that some states are yet to fully offset the outstanding amount owed pensioners and civil servants despite series of N1.8trillion bailouts. BudgIT is a civic organization that uses tech tools to simplify the budget and public spending to raise the standard of transparency and accountability in government. On Sunday, Ayomide Faleye, BudgIT head of communication, released a report of a recently conducted survey aimed at ascertaining the frequency and magnitude of challenges civil servants and pensioners are encountering. The report sent to DAILY POST explained that the survey focused on three categories of workers in all 36 states – primary and secondary school teachers, midwives and secretariat workers – while attention was paid to ascertain if retirees level were receiving pensions as at when due. Faleye said BudgIT discovered that 12 states are yet to offset the amount owed secondary school teachers fully and that many states are threatening workers to keep the information away from public domain. The report reads: “Notable among states with outstanding liabilities to secondary teachers is Osun and Kogi state. “Osun State has been paying secondary school teachers above level 8 only a fraction of their salaries and entitlement for the last 30 months. “Cumulatively, Osun state is owing secondary school teachers above level 8 about 15 months salary. “Other states with outstanding liabilities to states include Abia, Benue, Bayelsa, Kwara, Imo, Ekiti, Oyo, Ondo and Zamfara. “Kogi State, for instance, is owing teachers about 13 months salaries according to the response given by secondary school teachers during the survey. “Midwives, whose responsibility includes attending to issues around pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, women’s sexual and reproductive health and newborn care – are also bugged down by issues including failure of some state to pay salaries and emolument as at when due. “Midwives were questioned during the survey across the 36 states. BudgIT discovered that 10 states are owing midwives salaries as at close of business on September 24, 2018. “Delta, Imo, Abia, Osun, Plateau, Bayelsa, Ekiti and 11 other states owe Pensioners entitlement ranging from 1 month to 36 months. “Almost all pensioners expressed how unhappy they are, their dissatisfaction with the government and how hard it has been for them to survive despite years of hard work up into service “BudgIT hereby ask States to offset outstanding liabilities to its workers and pensioners as funds in form of bailout estimated to be in the region of N1.8 trillion have been issues to states to offset all outstanding liabilities owe workers.

pazienza:with all due respect, stop insulting the IGBO race. You sound like one who is confused whether he's Igbo or not! I guess you have never lived in the north if not you won't be saying these, many serious people are working to unite the Igbo race and you're here causing division! Any Igbo man who choses to identify with the larger Igbo race should not cast out, the only reason I'd let you do that is when his motives are for political reasons and nothing more! I have read the last five or six pages of this thread and it confirms my issues with the Igbos. Hatred. Even if the PDP picked an Igbo for a vice-president, every other region will all afraid of you. Funnily enough when it comes to violence, the Northerners have prove to be more violent that you all. Una issue is your mouth and pride. Politics required foresight and the Igbos lack it. Forget the Vice-president because your hatred spare headed by Kanu is still recent in the heart of other Nigerians. Focus on the next four years when both parties will present a southern candidates if the PDP loses. In the mean time, reduce your hatred. Why am I doing all this? I have a friend who's father is Igbo and who's mother is Yoruba. He will be president in the next four years. But how can he be President when his kinsmen are playing kindergarten politics. Stop hating other tribes publicly. Stop poisoning your people with hatred. 3 Likes |

There are many eminent PDP members across the country who are qualified for the role but discussions with top PDP apparatchiks at the venue of the just-concluded PDP National Convention revealed that the front runners for the position of Vice Presidential candidate are Otunba Gbenga Daniel (OGD), Governor Nyesom Wike, former Governor Peter Obi, Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, Govornors Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State and Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State. https://www.businesspost.ng/2018/10/08/ogd- dickson-iweala-fayose-others-make-atikus-vp-list/ so it's either NOI or peter obi |
