It wouldn't be without reason. It's the right thing to hate those who hate your group.

In that conversation with my Dad, he however confirmed that the Ikwere were Igbos.

He said their Igbo language is not clear.

However, he said they are not good people.

They killed Igbos during the Biafra war.

I don't agree with you. It will have a boomerang effect.

This was the same thing you guys did to Igbos in delta whereby they accused you guys of denying them their Igboness. You hardened their resolve against identifying with their larger igbo kins.I won't be a party to it.

Stop wasting your time and energy. If I see an ikwerre who has proven to be Igbo all along, then I won't reject him.

Ikwerre accepting or rejecting their igboness is inconsequential to me. Leave them with their identity crisis. Those who identify with us will be identified with, and those who reject us will be rejected as well.

We did nothing to Igbos Of Delta.
They are the ones who continued denying Ndiigbo, go to Onu Ika or Ukwuani facebook page and tell them they are Igbo and get the same Ikwerre treatment, albeit attenuated.

Infact, the only reason we are not preaching same message agains anioma as we are preaching about Ikwerres is because of the voices of reason from Oshimili and Aniocha.

Ikwerre rejecting Igbo tag is consequential. You water down the value of the Igbo tag, if you allow people to be Igbo today and non Igbo tomorrow.
You can't have people of divided loyalty in your group and claim its inconsequential, are you even listening to yourself?
Nope, we wouldn't leave them with their identity crisis, as it's affecting us all. A situation where a person whose people are not Igbos would come and start attaching to Ndiigbo in bid to take our share of the national cake, is not to be condoned.

We will stop discussing Ikwere as soon as Rotimi Amaechi returns full service to Enugu International Airport.

Our father knew alot but were quiet and gentle, ignoring all.

We are very different and will not Ignore anything.

There is nothing Ika or Ikwere have to offer Igbos, they are both landlock and deadend.

So wat is it sef, let dem go to hell.

If I did not ask, he will not even say anything.

Nobody should come here and preach any phantom Igbo unity that depends on Ndiigbo being stupid.

That generation is making way for something very different.

All these Igbo deniers are not ready for this.

IPOB is considering ALL of the old eastern region for REFERENDUM. it is the referendum that determines who is or who isn't.

You are misinterpreting IPOB. I know them too well.

All the official ethnic groups in SS have come out under their national bodies to denounce being associated with Biafra. They don't want your referendum, they said you should confine it within SE, their elites have been vocal about it on pages of newspapers, their commoners have been hateful about it on pages of social media, still you IPOB people will not get the memo, you would rather continue disgracing Ndiigbo.

I watched Ogbako Ikwerre national convention in Atlanta Georgia in 2015 during the heat of ipob and Nnamdi Kanu revolution, Celestine Omehia, the former Ikwerre Rivers state governor, dedicated up-to 20mins of his speech to Ikwerre people, deriding Ndiigbo and Biafra struggle.
He made it categorically clear that Ikwerre is not Biafra nor Igbo, he wondered why Biafrans(Igbos) wouldn't let go of Ikwerre after Ikwerre has continually rejected Ndiigbo. He then said that Ikwerre has no ancestral link with Ndiigbo, that Ikwerre people originated from Bini, he received overwhelming applause from the Ikwerre audience present at that gathering, and not even one person challenged him.

Restrict your referendum stance to SE.

with all due respect, stop insulting the IGBO race. You sound like one who is confused whether he's Igbo or not! I guess you have never lived in the north if not you won't be saying these, many serious people are working to unite the Igbo race and you're here causing division! Any Igbo man who choses to identify with the larger Igbo race should not cast out, the only reason I'd let you do that is when his motives are for political reasons and nothing more! Please unity is the power, have a good morning..

Who are those serious people working to unite Igbos?
They are bunch of jokers. If you want to unite Ndiigbo with a people, the least you can do is do a comprehensive research on the people you are seeking to unite us with.
The African mind doesn't understand the need for research, they just sit in the comfort of the rooms and start drawing senseless Maps uniting themselves with a people who view us as oppressors and with hate.

Have you taken time to go to Ikwerreland and research on how their commoners regard Ndiigbo?
If you are too lazy to do that, the least you can do is join their facebook book pages and see things for themselves.
That is if you don't want to listen to their elites like Wike Omehia, and Amaechi who had continued to disassociate themselves from Ndiigbo and only associate with us when they need to exploit us.

Common, you lots should show dignity for once, Igbo use to have wise people, what happened to our wisdom?

Are you also aware the obiookpor in river state stood with IPOB in 2017?

Ndoki, ASA are all parts of abia state but a part of these communities were balkanized to river state. Are you not aware? You are either ANAMBRA or ENUGU so you won't know.

Are you aware that there is IPOB thriving in every local government area of river state.

By the way did obiano, an Igbo man, speak in favour of ipob? So its not about ikwerrre or no ikwerre. Its about the individual.

We were all here when Amaechi was furious with GEJ for granting Abia State her disputed oil wells Rivers state claimed.
Amaechi showed his true colors, when he asked GEJ, if "they" (Rivers) are now Biafrans (Igbos).
In essence he was subtly reminding GEJ that it is only Igbos that her oil wells had been agreed to be stripped of, by the Nigerian government. GEJ giving those oil wells to Abia State, is akin to giving Rivers people, the Biafran treatment.
Recall how Mammar Nasir boundary adjustment committee in 1976 took away Oil producing parts of old Imo state Now called Egbema and Obigbo and added to Rivers state.

But today, whenever it's convenient for Amaechi to escape Igbo criticism, he tells us that he is Igbo, and gullible Igbos would be too blind to see through this charade.
Amaechi claim Igbo, yet he is the minister of transport under whose regime a railway scheme was being proposed that totally skipped SE. Under his regime, SE AIIA has been left to rot while PH airport keeps receiving all the attention needed.

I am from Abia. Umuahia is my hometown. We in Abia have cultural affinity with upland rivers, especially obiookpor, ndoki and ASA. These are core Igbo communities in river state. Pls Google it up or more information.

Obiookpor is somewhat considered ikwerre too, They are militantly Igbo. What do you say to that? Some of The ikwerre that I know are proudly igbo. I will not be so quick to condemn all of them.

Disgrace me? Lol..... Its not that I have not seen Judases among them. I have seen a lot.

But then, I understand Igbo history. Politically Igbo are decentralized, while remaining one culturally.

Onitsha people don't see themselves as core Igbo even. They call others onye-igbo. Does that mean we should cut Onitsha off too?

Another thing we are saying is that PH is not an Igbo city, the Ikwerre and Ijaw are the owner cool their Air-port is not ours so anybody siting a project for Igbos must site else-where in the SE not PH.

We have Enugu a recognized Igbo city we are saying that Enugu Air-port should be upgraded with more infrastructure just like that of other regions.

Any Igbo man buying land an building mansion in PH should be left alone when the consequence starts.

How Igbo ministers and governors have done well for their people? That's why I see you keep blending culture with politics.

Ikwerrre can claim anything in the name of politics, but they know who they are culturally. Ask an ijaw man what they call an ikwerre man, they are igbos! They say it to ikwerre peoples faces! They ikwerre, just want to be politically distinct, leave them to their fate. But don't allow them deceive you into balkanizing igboland. It is internationally known that igboland stretches from agbor to port Harcourt. Any other issue after that is simply geoPOLITICS.

Politics? Is that a reason for a Gov who may claim in the future to culturally be Igbo, named a State project after the name of a man who killed over 3m of his people and destroyed the cities of his kinsmen...

Was it also politics that made these same people to seize buildings and land that were not theirs after the war?
