Labims: Hmmm, I am a banker and I will tell u something about how your account is handled. No one has the right to get your account details (balance inclusive) except by court instruction. Although the statement submitted can be verified if it was issued by the bank, CIC does not have the right to get your account balance at any point in time without a court instruction. 4 Likes |

To everyone waiting for over 3 months now for a decision... kindly comment where your application is been processed from. I am thinking the Lagos office is delaying most of the visa applications (My thought though). 1 Like |

Plz house I need help, while most of your problems are getting a visa approval, others have a primary problem that is killing them. This is a problem of contacting supervisors from various universities in Canada without getting any response, some say their research group is full. I studied Chemistry and graduated with a 2:1 result. I ve even tried some programs that are related to my course but still no way. I think the only option left is to find an agent. But if you guys have a better advice, I am open to take it 1 Like |

Most universities just have supervisors that are lackadaisical and wont even respect their oath of offices, You can imagine ignoring someone's mail asking for supervisor, either you should reply yes or No, some don't like people who are very steady, i mean disturbing them, they quit all together, ....... Agent wont get you a supervisor, just keep trying, atleast that what you will have to do first before paying for application. Kinfinity007: |

Bros....i am mot sure you work at the head office of the bank you work with.....CIC does a random check on banks.....basically headoffice not branch.....i repeat.....random check.......This statement of fact is coming from a very reliable source. jandj: 2 Likes |

canadabyfire: Madam, I repeat dat CIC does not have any right to check your balance. They can only confirm the authenticity of the statement presented. I am certain sure of this. The bank owes every customer a other of secrecy. I presume that What your reliable source said is that CIC confirms the authenticity of statements 7 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Nobody: 4:06pm On Oct 13, 2018 |
I don't believe CIC goes to check your actual bank balance...if not, I know a lot of people that should have been banned like months back from going to Canada... 3 Likes |

vibrant99: Well, I understand how one may feel by getting no response from supervisors but it may NOT be due to the supervisor's lackadaisical attitude. The fact is that those supervisors get many mails from students and they don't have time to reply. They often reply when they are interested in a student or if the student's mail is well composed and customised (even if there is no space in their research groups). Moreover, there are things to consider in composing such emails in order to facilitate getting a response. You can read through this Quora link for further insights: https://www.quora.com/How-do-I-write-the-first-email-to-a-professor-that-may-accept-me-as-his-graduate-student 1 Like |

jandj: No no no that's not true, so how do they detect when a lump of money leaves the account after submitting an application? Visa officers work directly with the head bank not branch. (Germany does the same cause it happens to one of my bro in Deutschland, they had to call him to explain why it happened) I am 99.9% sure |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Senatorkolade: 5:05pm On Oct 13, 2018 |
I was told by a lawyer that July has the highest number of applications from Nigeria and those who re-applied account for about 85% of those applications. This is because those who were refused in April, May and June converge their applications in July. He said July applicants should not expect decisions until November. He also told me that many of August, September and October are now being moved to Kenya and Lagos unless you are re-applying and your refused applications was treated in Kenya, then another visa office in case you want to go for a judicial review. I don't know how true it is. |
