I received this letter from my prospective school yesterday in response to my letter that I have missed my resumption again because CIC has not processed me. I also wrote a member of parliament and received a response from his secretary that she will forward my letter to him.

Dear Jeremy,

Thanks for the update. This is a ridiculous situation indeed. I’m not sure whether it might be possible for you to start the MPP program in January (the fall semester started a month ago so the earliest you could start is in January) so I CC Amy, who might know.

Good luck!!!

Good evening, I'm currently processing my application to study Masters in Public Administration at the University of Saskatchewan. I graduated from OAU with a 3.55 CGPA in international relations of which one of the admission requirements is a 75% or B+ in a 4 year undergraduate study. What do you think about my CGPA, does it fit their requirement?

This is true.

Canada Visa application is quite frustrating and after numerous attempts to try and understand how they work/operate, they come up with another new trick that leaves us all with even more questions.

I wasn't trying to get on anyone's nerve. I'm too hungry to get on my own nerve.

Let me get to my point. A lot of us have been on this thread since Part 13 (some maybe way before that) while a number are new here. For some of us that might know a thing or two, and have seen numerous visa approvals and denials, we should thread with caution in putting things in black and white here. The reason is not only to rightfully advice people asking the questions but to also try and not mislead the people that will be reading the thread in the nearest future.

Makano also made a lot of sense....no matter of fund, home tie, employment letter, land documents can save you if a VO think you are not worthy.

What I know is that VO's mood at the time he/she is processing visa application influences his/her decision irrespective of what you submitted

Very correct. That is why i said in the previous part (Part 14) that we should also pray our application gets to the right Visa Officer, not the one that is not always happy or frustrated. I wanna believe those VOs in Nairobi are Sadist.. That is the reason for their 95% refusals for Nigerian Applicants. Peace

Goodmorning ..I applied for US student visa around july but I was banned..so I want to apply to Canada now ..Is that possible? Because someone said if I apply in Canada they will find out that have been banned, he said because Canada and US share information. How true is that please?

You can apply for a Canadian visa, but you've to state that you were banned in your USA visa application, and the reason for the ban. And yes, Canada or any other foreign country will always know cause they share information like you said. Avoid whatever caused your ban in the USA, and any form of misinformation in your application.

What I feel you should do is to share just a basic idea why you were banned in the USA. I am confident of a knowledge of fact that US will usually ban applicants based on integrity issues (falsified info or documents).... if this is the case, fill your Canada for declaring the true situation (which of course they know) and take your chances with a sound LoE!
US & Canada not only share information but use the same platform (I mean a single platform) to vet applicants... including entries and exits info of visitors & citizens alike.... people who frequent the land borders crossings will confirm this to you.
Point to note.... if Canada renders an applicant inadmissible... you will ordinarily not expect USA to admit such person (already deemed a flight risk)
This is why we need and must be careful when dealing with the outside world... our integrity is at stake!
Please also know today that US tightened their Visa issuance of recent cos of us Nigerians!.... Canada charged them of being too loose... as they issue everyone visas... these set of people on stepping the land of America go straight to Canada border to seek asylum!
You see..

Congrats!!
A passport request is an approval for sure.

Everyone's case is not the same and applications are treated individually.... PhD in Engineering is not a Child's play especially in Canada.... and meanwhile it's even classified as in-demand career in most provinces.

Some provinces go in search on Express Entry pool for applicants with job offers in most Engineering fields and give them nominations even with scores as low as 350.

You will confirm this yourself in due time.... carry on and best wishes.

Plz house I need help, while most of your problems are getting a visa approval, others have a primary problem that is killing them. This is a problem of contacting supervisors from various universities in Canada without getting any response, some say their research group is full. I studied Chemistry and graduated with a 2:1 result. I ve even tried some programs that are related to my course but still no way. I think the only option left is to find an agent. But if you guys have a better advice, I am open to take it
Agents won't give you supervisor. As I'm here, I've emailed over 20 supervisors. Some would even be kind enough to tell you dey are not accepting. Others won't reply at all. You just have to keep trying

I'm a silent observer here...
Please kindly advise me:
I graduated in 2016 with GPA of 2.8/4 in animal and environmental biology otherwise known as zoology. I intend to do my masters in Canada but i was told my point could work against me so I was advised to go for PGD first.
My question is:

Should i just start over again by going for a second bachelor's degree or i should try the PGD path?? Which one more easy and viable??
(im 26 years old)

Please i need your advice it has been my ambition to have a Canadian education.

Thanks

Go for PGD, after which u proceed for a masters..going for a second degree would waste more time in years but PGD is just a year or 2 depending on your course of choice...

Travel history is not a requirement for study visa. Although travel history might help your visa in a way or the other, thousands have gotten their visas without travel history.

Seriously, university of nothern British Columbia is a very good school. Also pls check the fees before applying oo.. make sure you are well able to pay.

Wishing you success in your application.

Canadian study visa doesn't need an interview. This is the main reason why you submitted SOP in order to "sell" yourself.

I was told by a lawyer that July has the highest number of applications from Nigeria and those who re-applied account for about 85% of those applications. This is because those who were refused in April, May and June converge their applications in July. He said July applicants should not expect decisions until November. He also told me that many of August, September and October are now being moved to Kenya and Lagos unless you are re-applying and your refused applications was treated in Kenya, then another visa office in case you want to go for a judicial review.
I don't know how true it is.

Yepa! Which kind bad market be dis one nau for future online applicants?

Your report seems true seeing how fast September online applications were processed and their outcomes.

Please help us ask your lawyer when next London will take back online applications

Of a truth, I don't know about this one oo.. maybe gurus in the house can be of help. If I may advise, you can write it out on the form that you were denied, applealed and you were given. The main thing is being truthful about it all. They only want to check the main reason why you were denied.

Hello....I'm not a guru but know this for a fact. It doesn't make a difference, you would still need to declare that there was a refusal at all. No long talk, if possible, just reference the country and application number, i.e. UK visa, application number 46978231v. If you don't have the application number just state the country. Truth is...they already know the answer to the question, but just need you to be honest about it. Period!
