I played almost all the games. I still have a mark on my right leg that reminds me of driving plank on boris as wheels. Good old days!

Chai! Growing up in the street was the best, nothing like depression then. My childhood was fun. We did all and really enjoyed every bit of it!
We even used to have street football matches then, and I was among the first 11 in our street(as a left footer I played better than Messi then) lol.
I wish I could turn back the hands of time to late 90's. The world is no longer as sweet as it was then.
Going through these pictures really has made me feel bad cry

Yesterday I was watching an Indian program and I watched kids fly kite. Immediately I remembered those days we flew kites and it was so much fun. These days, children do not know what a kite is not to talk of flying kites.

If you lived in Festac Town in the 80's and 90's you will relate to what I am talking about. grin

This is what children of nowadays are missing. Gone are the days when children from different backgrounds will play together. No differences, be it tribal, religious or creed. Children these days only have virtual friends on the net.

I was a pro in number 1&12. We would go fetch water and refuse to return home. We, my kid brother and I, used to fly kite around the neighborhood. Many times we got beaten for flying the kite as far as the express road. I still miss those days. The freedom was boundless.
