Labims:Hello Labims, It's a good idea that her husband won't be accompanying her to Canada because he stands to be a strong tie to her visa application. In her SOP, she can say that she loves her marriage/husband and she cannot jeopardize her marriage on the altar of career pursuits and that is obligatory for her to return to her Martial duties back home as she will terribly miss her beloved husband who always encourages her during the difficult moments of her life, and her aged parents who depend on her for support and also her siblings who are looking up-to her as a mentor etc.. What is the duration of her proposed program in Canada? If she is financially capable, she can certainly be a self-sponsored applicant. Be mindful that she needs to provide documents that would evidence her financial establishment in her home country like employment letters, promotion letters, pay stubs, resume, work I.D, introductory letter from employer detailing her job role, employment start date, amount of salary, etc. and salary bank statement showing proof of inflow and outflow of salaries being paid/depoisted into her account on a monthly basis, landed properties documents (which can be jointly owned by she and her husband), shares certificates(if any), she should also include the CAC certificate of the farm business, and the business invoices. The aforementioned documents will give an edge in her application. The husband can be a co-sponsor to her visa application, for that to be possible, the husband will also include their marriage certificate to show proof of relationship, the daughters birth certificate, his personal bank statements, his source of income documents etc.. In regards the SOP, I saw your PM, I'll respond to your request in a short time. All the best! 1 Like 1 Share |

Hi nairalanders, I got to know about this group few hours ago. I'm in a cross road and don't know what decision to make, and I would need your help especially from those who has applied or are in University of Rgina. I applied few days back to the university of Regina for an undergraduate course because I had a third class in the university here in Nigeria. So my aim is to take another undergraduate course in Canada without disclosing I have once attended a university. So i am using just my high school credentials to apply. The problem now is that when I was filling the application form, it was written that pls disclose if you have had a previous post secondary degree and provide details....(this I skipped in the application form) Now I have been sent a message from the university providing my student number and to submit all documents and not to withhold any information about any post secondary college I have once attended... and that Failure to disclose attendance at a previous post-secondary institution will lead to cancellation of your application. Here is the email below " Congratulations on submitting your application! You have been issued an ID ........ Please include this number on all correspondence you have with the U of R so we can serve you better. To complete your application we require the following: High School Transcript(s). Please click here for specific country high school information. University or College transcript(s) if you attended post-secondary institutions. Failure to disclose attendance at another post-secondary institution will lead to cancellation of your application. Proof of English Language Proficiency (Click to see the list of ELP Options) A copy of your passport If you have not been in school for over 2 years please briefly describe (a sentence or two is sufficient) what you have been doing since graduation *Please send all documents in PDF format to international.admissions@uregina.ca." I don't want to be denied admission because of the grades i had at my previous university if I provide them with the transcript.......because this was what happened when I applied to the university of Winnipeg early this year, I was denied admission because of my grades even though it was undergraduate course I applied for using my high school certificate which I had very high grades in (only had to provide my post secondary documents because it was mentioned I did) . Please what should I do, what steps should I take Thanks all in advance. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Frankrobbn1: 12:26pm On Nov 02, 2018 |
titisoge: Since you already told them (University of Regina) that you don't have any Post secondary education while filling the online admission form. Simply present your high school certificate (WAEC/NECO) and explain in detail what you've been doing since you last left high school till date. Also, the University only work with the information provided by you and won't know if you have attended any post-secondary school before now. 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Frankrobbn1: 1:04pm On Nov 02, 2018 |
Ysakaws1: Yes! The university of Manitoba will require you to pay a tuition deposit of 2KCAD plus to secure a space for the accepted term. Few schools I know that doesn't require a tuition payment prior to the start of classes are: 1-) The University of Winnipeg, 2-) University of Ottawa 3-) Carleton University 4-) University of Saskatchewan The above listed universities may vary depending on your proposed course of study. 2 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by sleekysoft(m): 1:50pm On Nov 02, 2018 |
Well if onlybyou will believe me, the verification process is the one taken longer time, how fast they get response etc.. some applications were sent in for secondary review which means 2 or more VO handles it cases for longing delays .. so let’s be hopeful .. I know someone that eligibility too so long cos cic didn’t hear back from the people they wanted to verify information from didn’t respond to their entities Lagos2canna: |

sleekysoft:so what about September applicants that get approvals within one month from the same online route? so almost all July and August applicants where sent to BCI for more than 3months? I don't agree with you on this. |

sleekysoft: There's an atom of truth in this information. I believe you to some extent. But don't you think that process would have been taken care of in the background checks? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by sleekysoft(m): 2:15pm On Nov 02, 2018 |
Ok bosss, like I said in the beginning .. of you will believe.. depends on the VO abd how fast documents are easily verified. Some VO dig deep some don’t Lagos2canna: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by sleekysoft(m): 2:20pm On Nov 02, 2018 |
Yes I saw a gcms note , the day the eligibility review stTted was the day the VO incharge sent an email to to verify the authenticity of the letter of support, left it for another person to handle and after 30 days of no response a reminder was sent again by the same VO( you can get this details on gcms, each VO has s unique Number , Check gcms note yu will see created by , updated by ) .. I want to believe back ground check deals with mainly bank statement etc( my guess) which other documents like acceptance letter, Sop , letter of sponsorship is been verified by VO.. I want to believe some just read and move on while some decide to dig deeper either by contacting the school to verify admission letter and every other letters addressed to the VO etc remember most letters are usually address to the Visa Officer , not ambassador or cIC staff... Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Frankrobbn1: 2:45pm On Nov 02, 2018 |
debby27: Firstly, start by searching the below shortlisted universities in Canada which offer Master's in Nursing: 1-) University of Alberta 2-) Thompson Rivers University Kamloops, Canada 3-) McGill University Québec, Canada 4-) McMaster University Hamilton, Canada 5-) Laurentian University Greater Sudbury, Canada 6-) University of Western Ontario London, Canada 7-) University of Lethbrige 8-) University of Manitoba Winnipeg, Canada 9-) University of Northern British Columbia Terrace, Canada. You may likely get scholarship for the number 1,3, and 4 universities. Once you have successfully gotten your acceptance letter from any of the DLI, you can come back here and ask questions regarding the study visa application process, and we will be happy to assist you.
