Temi69: Hi House,
I received my admission letter to UBc for a thesis based masters last week. My supervisor said I will get a letter from the dean saying
The annual stipend for a BIMB MSc student is $17,500. Funding for the stipend is typically provided through teaching assistantships (TA; about $12,592) in the Department of Chemistry, research assistantships (RA; at least $4,908) from My supervisor and graduate awards administered through the College of Graduate Studies. Each year you will be able to apply for a TA position. To apply for a TA position, submit your Curriculum Vitae and a letter of interest outlining any previous teaching experience to chemistry.okanagan@ubc.ca. You are also eligible for the Graduate Deans Entrance Scholarship of $5,000.
Can I use this letter for my visa application and will I still need to show a proof of $10000 and tuition fee(8605)
Will I have to get accepted for the teaching assistantship first or it doesn’t matter.
Also, if Yes, I’m required to provide proof, like how much is needed as the account balance (using solely an uncle as sponsor)
Thanks I sent you a private message pls reply |

Awuuga:
IOM Lagos & Q-Life. When I checked in with Q-Life as at October they were booked for the year. You can try IOM Lagos, you might get a date within the year. Your appointment would be booked two weeks from the day you called in.
IOM Abuja still has openings, you can get a booking thank you sir. Is there anyehere i can do it in lagos without booking a date? within the week or latest next week. It costs 41,900, I can’t remember the exact figure (you can go with 42,000 just to be safe).
All you need is your medical invitation, your intl’ passport or a copy of your intl’ passport. It took 3 days from the day I took the medical exam for it to be sent to embassy. I hope this helps. Good luck.

SetApart78: Hi guys,
I've just received a refusal message. I applied through paper route on 21/10/2018 and I received the refusal message this morning. The reasons for my refusal are: 1. Pursuant to Section 219 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulation, I am not satisfied that you: i. have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue. 2. You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay. In reaching this decision, I considered several factors, including: i. immigration status in country of residence. ii. purpose of visit iii. employment prospects in country of residence.
But my application was supported with the following documents, in relation to these refusal reasons
1. I made a part payment of $19,300 towards my tuition fees out of $25,700 for the two years Msc program and receipts ATTACHMENTS 2. My sponsor's (father in-law) bank account statement with a closing balance of N4.5m after making the part payment 3. My account statement with a closing balance of N2.2m (Nigeria account statement) 4. My recent employment offer letters (5), both the ones I accepted and those declined. This was to show employment prospect. 5. My employment visa in country of residence. 6. My six(6) months bank statement in country of residence, and 7. Letter from my employer
These were added to other documents to support the application. I am a bit confused on what next to do in order to address the VO's concerns. The program is starting by January and I need to reapply ASAP.
Please help.
sorry abt this pls u did not tell us the potential course and how it relate to your current employment.and did u include Cv for purpose of visit and did u not include your birth certificate and state of origin for immigration status how much is your father in law giving u and why since he is nt your father |

Nuel182: My college resumes September 2019 Would it be possible to apply now and leave probably April? Yes you can apply for your visa once you've a successfully secured an admission into any of the Canada's DLI. Travelling by April is too early, I would advise you travel towards July/August in order to acclimatise with the environment. |

Did anybody apply on the 12th of July...asking cos on Thursday..a friend of mine who applied on the 12th of July got his approval on Thursday .....online route If this is true that your friend who applied July 12th just got approval, then this is good news for online applicants for June, July, August and early September whose application has been stuck in London. Was your friend's online application processed out of London? Ps: no two cases are exactly the same. So simply because your friend who applied in July 12 got approved, it doesn't mean every July 12 applicant should now start scampering and expecting approval. |
