I also applied in October, 20th to be precise. On the 19th of this month I received a mail on Biometric Validity. Though I am yet to get a mail instructing me to go for medical. What's your present status?

Did you reapplied? Or a new application?

Hi 123abcclown,

Please i need to ask you a question the family tree.
Can you respond to my DM so i have have your email address.

Thanks,

123abcclown:

Honestly, Nothing.

I didn’t include his passport, birth certificate or any person document in my application.

I just explained in my SOP that he has been responsible for my education for a while.

I however had a family tree in my application. I think it helps the VO put the relationship into perspective.

Guys pls help me. Which hospital or clinic in Lagos does the medical examination and how much do they charge per person. I'm thinking of going for upfront medicals. I'm tired of waiting.

Good morning house.

I submitted my Passport at vfs office about a week ago for visa stamp. As of on Tuesday I got a mail from CIC stating that my application for study in Canada has been approved (IMM5813).

My question is does this mean I can go to vfs to pickup my passport or I should be getting a separate notification mail from vfs to come pick up?

Track the passport on their site and see if it's ready for pick up

It means a decision is about to be made if you're eligible for the program... Hopefully you will get a response soon.

Background check is a run on your personal details, like if you have a criminal history, political affiliations, your travel history if any, etc. Eligibility review is confirming if you're eligible for the program you applied for, qualifications and all.

Thank you

i think its for all application under processing in their office at the moment...because if you message or call them they will ask if its past the average processing time on their site...and remember its THE AVERAGE PROCESSING TIME which means it could be less or more than 17 weeks...goodluck!

background check is done to check your records...like criminal records etc...eligibility on the other hand is done to see if you meet the criteria to be given a study visa or not from the documents you submitted..check cic site for more details..
