When gallant soldiers as alleged as killed in such a ridiculous manner, what then is the fate of the civilians? This is a national collapse!!!

If everybody should run from the frontlines, what will happen to the civil population should the bandits advance hinterland? The thought of the consequences on the civil population, our families (wives and kids) and friends is what emboldened a soldier to fight gallantly at the frontlines and not easily surrender.
Wisdom demands that soldiers don't fight with empty hands or outdated arms whereas ogas at the top keep on sharing funds meant for arms procurement.

THE ONLY WAY TO STOP ALL THESE NONSENSE AMBUSH AND SUSPICIOUS ATTACKS ON OUR JUNIOR ARMY OFFICERS IS FOR BUHARI TO FORCE ALL HIS SERVICE CHIEFS INCLUDING DEFENCE MINISTER AND OTHER TOP MILITARY OFFICERS TO GO TO THE BATTLE GROUND AND JOIN THE JUNIOR OFFICERS. SINCE THEY BELIEVE THAT THEY HAVE EQUIPPED THE JUNIOR OFFICERS WITH THE LATEST AMMUNITION, LET THEM GO AND JOIN THEM. IT IS POSSIBLE THE JUNIOR OFFICERS DO NOT KNOW HOW TO USE THE AMMUNITION PROPERLY. LET THEIR OGAS LEAVE ABUJA AND GO JOIN THEM IN THE FOREST SO THEY CAN USE THEIR EXPERTISE AND EXPERIENCE.
I AM 100% SURE THAT IF THE TOP MILITARY OFFICERS ARE IN THE FORE FRONT FACING BOKO HARAM, THERE WILL NEVER EVER BE ANYTHING LIKE AMBUSH. NEVER. YOU CANNOT BE FORMING OGA IN ABUJA WHILE YOU SEND JUNIOR OFFICERS TO THE FOREST WITH USELESS AMMUNITION. GO THERE AND JOIN THEM.

I TRUST SOMEBODY LIKE PUTIN, HE WOULD HAVE SENT ALL THE GENERALS TO THE BATTLE FIELD. I DON'T JUST UNDERSTAND WHY NIGERIA IS SO FULL OF SHI.T

100% with you on this

Is that enough reason why you should intentionally submit yourselves to be killed by Boko Haram militia? Don't you guys know that you're constituting nuisance and destroying the image of this great nation abroad? My friends here were making fun of me due to your incompetence.

If at all the government weren't buying you latest ammunitions, can't you guys afford that with your salaries? At least, you're getting paid. The government will not always be there for us. Since you've vowed to defend your country in any situation, you shouldn't be too stingy to buy yourselves some riffles to get rid of a more dangerous enemy.

The laws or will I say edicts are fluid. Even mandatory retirement on grounds of age can be adjusted by military high command if and a big IF operational requirements specify. In summary, if the military is understaffed and demand for operational capacity is high they will make things difficult for soldiers, airmen and sailors to leave. And bring all the laws to back it up.

I don't know how far the boko haram crises is stretching the armed forces at the moment but there have been periods during the Obasanjo regime and during the Babangida regime (when I left) when you could retire on the flip of a coin. After Liberia there was a lot of reorganisation and some of my pals and I who were fortumate l to be alive left.

I will anticipate it will be hard to.leave now but once this conflict is over the armed forces will find itself over supllied and over manned and will probably nudge people to leave.
In US Marines, forget about quitting because it will never happen rather one will be reassigned to a non rifle carrying duty until the discharge time which is not even guaranteed because something may come up and it gets extended.

This boko haram war may linger for awhile due to the vulnerability of northern kids or should I say almajiris. Nigeria is where Islamic extremists will likely be getting more recruits and that should be a worry. Even though intelligence and gadgets help in wars, population is also a huge advantage.

I watched the video yesterday evening.
A military officer (a captain) that was posted & withdrawn from that exact military base sent the video. I wanted to post the video here for all to watch.
But then, i thought about the implications & i refrained.

It's a real pity... Real pity. Yet this government are just busy chasing shadows.

GOD ALMIGHTY will surely deliver this country from blood-sucking demons in human form.

Followed this news keenly.

The BH attack was successful because they disguised in army apparels and caught the NA unawares. SuggesTs;

1. There are moles/informants supplying the B information and wears in the NA.

2. The desert is too wide and very difficult to defend.

It’s obvious they need to fortify their base with defence walls and high watch post like we see in movies. All in coming vehicles must confirm identity from a 1km radius or it’s shot down with a missile.

Secondly, we need help from foreign troops. These Boko guys are getting help from ISIS and soon they may start thinking of coming into the south/west/east. If foreign troops can join the NA they can cover more grounds technically and man power wise - that desert is so huge.

We just need to tackle this shit headon before it escalates. We must start by voting out Buhari, he is clueless already!!

But your assertions are logically flawed.

1. You can’t KNOW that there are no moles; unless you work in the NA and you have done internal intelligence to confirm your hypothesis. In principle - Yoruba says “bi Ogun ile o ba Jani, tita o le jani”. It makes it more likely that some people are sabotaging the war by assisting BH.

2. I don’t know much about the span of Iraq desert’s... but I am glad you mentioned alqaeda war. Those guys were chased out following helpss from foreign troops; American and UN soldiers specifically. He Sambisa forest spans about 4 different territories with lots of trees and caves. It’s so vast... we obviously need so foreign help and intelligence. Our machineries and personnel are obsolete!

But no one said all these during GEJ

Boko Haram can not be a multinational terrorist organization. They're core agenda is fighting against foreign influence. Like the deltan river thugs they are INDIGENous to the Northeast Nigeria and can not survive a foreign political merger
What do you call a terrorist group to have basses in 4 countries and also lunch attack against militaries of 4 different countries on their own territory? Bokoharam consist of different small groups, people of different tribes, different countries, different races and different ideology; They simply came together under one major ideology.

Did Bokoharam go away or get desiminated after they sworn allegiance to isisl? They are getting stronger and bolder by the day.

Let me ask you these questions of which I expect an honest answer from you.

1. Do Bokoharam have bases outside Nigeria borders?
2. Have Bokoharam ever carried out attacks outside Nigeria?
3.Is there a multinational force fighting Bokoharam?
4.Did Bokoharam swear allegiance to isisl?
5.Is Bokoharam attack restricted or confined to Nigeria?
6.why compare them to Nigeria delta militant groups that didn't take their fight or attack outside the territory of Nigeria?
7.Why is it that the Multinational forces have not been able to defeat Bokoharam and Cameroon with all their military equipment and huge budgets compared to What Bokoharam have?
8. Why do cameroon seek for France military support against Bokoharam?
9.Are you saying that only Kanuris make up Bokoharam Since they're indigenous to that part of the country?
10.Do you know that several Arab fighters fighting alongside Bokoharam have been killed by the Nigerian Military and was majorly kept as secret under former administration?

I will appreciate honest answers to my questions.

Do have a splendid Sunday.

Not true.

I know 4 people in the British army with due discharge dates of 2020, 2021 and 2019 respectively that resigned and became civilians from 2017. Yes, they have been to Afghan, Berlin and Cyprus on mission on different occasions.

They are all technically civilians( living and working as such) but are still in as " Reserves" .

u don't get my point.
if u are already fighting in the front, u must complete ur tour of duty in the theater of battle. u can only be discharged when u have completed ur tenure.

when you are not fighting u can tender ur resignation and honorably be discharged.

Yes we need to do more to euipped our military but I dont agree with you that the Boko HARAM TERRORISTS are more armed than our Army. Those boko haram fighters are a poorly trained rag tag militants with some of their fighters as young as 12- 18 yrs old. The only advantage they had was they had a higher morale and were fighting with nothing to lose like a suicide fighter. The major problem is the army moral is very low and their motivation to fight is low and they dont seems to have a clear defensive strategy when under attacked. I watched the latest attack video on the military base and the terrorist were not more than 50 in number yet they were able to ransack a military base with many soldiers.
and u think 50 guys can defeat d NA dos guys come in numbers d solution is quit using conventional means to fight... moreso de shd be air surveillance at all times proper barricadin of d camp...usage of drones proper communication channel etc
