As an OAU graduate, I paid 19,700 X 4 years.
That's the cheapest university in Nigeria.
Well, that's what u know, I paid less than 9k for 5 years in FUTYola till I graduated.

why is there no state universities in the list
Nice question.

The FG allocates average of around N10Bn to each federal school every year and that money is used to offset the burden of huge school fees the student ought to be paying.
Most states can't afford that as they are not very rich or as rich as the federal government.
This explains the higher fee and slightly lower standard/rating of state schools. It also answers your question.

NOUN will tell you their school fee is #41,000, but until when you then start with them you'll know they lied,

I'm talking from experience, I wouldn't advice anybody to school in NOUN if you don't have a job, because they drink money like water there.

from a concerned brother.
Very true, one of my friend in open university paid 56k this semester, he said they are paying 100+plus a session, so it was split into two semester

Oga, i'm a product of UI, and i can boldly tell you that theres no such thing as "sorting" in UI......i dont know about other schools ooo, but UI......its a NO NO.
The lecturers there own other professional businesses of their own which sorts out their financial burdens, and are equally disciplined.
Am a product of UI too, Biochemistry to be precise, 2013/2014 session. When I tell people that there is no such thing as sorting in UI, they think am joking or trying to paint my school white. Chem 157 was taught by 6 lecturers. Each of the 6 topics was taught by a different lecturer. 3 out of these 6 lecturers were profs. How do u intend to sort 6 lecturers including 3 profs for a course? Not fewer than 2 lecturers taught me all the courses I did in UI from year 1 to 4

It is really cheap then. Because most schools flaunting 30-50k here get 300k plus from govt yearly to make EKSU relatively cheap.

Friend, whoever that tells you sorting in UI is possible is a liar. Let me give you a hint how marking is done in a department- 1. all Profs will meet on a stipulated date, time and place 2. then each of them is assigneed a sub-item or question to mark in each script. 3. the work is scored based on scheme and recorded by another prof. Illustration- Prof. A marks question 1ai of all students and another Prof. marks question 1aii and so on and the scripts are passed to the next prof. If you want quality education, please go to UI.
