Transcript is never and can never be a reason for Rejection, cos we have so many applicants here that got their TRV without adding their transcript. Transcript is only compulsory when applying to a school but its optional when applying for Study Visa. So Order for ur GCMS note and put it here in the house when its out.

I need help please... Just got rejected, how do I go about reapplying again do need to order for Gcms I was thinking maybe it's my transcript I didn't add that cause it.... Please help my brothers and sisters....

Austacus:

Please if you can opt for PGD/PGC Before applying for Visa... Go for it or if you have the strength of searching for schools that would accept you for MSC, go for it.
Going for BSC at your age is even more Reasonable to the VO so far you can cover the gap appropriately.

That's my 2 cents advise to you, if you like...take it or leave it

Thanks for the heads up

Greetings to you all.

I am a bit confused about program's credentials.

Is PGD same as Graduate Diploma and PGC, Graduate Certificate?

Why i asked is because i keep seeing the following on various college's website

OCC: (Ontario College Certificate)
OCD: (Ontario College Diploma)
OCAD: (Ontario College Advanced Diploma)
OCGD: (Ontario College Graduate Diploma)
OCGC: (Ontario College Graduate Certificate)

Thanks.

Hello everyone,

Please, I want to re-apply for a Canadian study permit that was denied in December 2018. A friend advised me to attach a rebuttal letter alongside my letter of explanation and other supporting documents. is this right?

Pgd/pgc Are the same thing
Graduate diploma is different because being at the same level as the final year of a bachelor's degree. Please take note, depending on the institution, a graduate diploma in Canada may be at graduate level or bachelor's level.
If you'd check on Google, you would have gotten your answer.

Do u have an HND? If u do, that's Wat u submit..if u just have the ND, I feel u are meant to go for a pgd..that explains the 1st reason of denial being purpose of visit...also u did an ND in computer science and u are going for something in welding...that alone is Wat the VO meant by rejection based on purpose fo visit....2ndly, you CIC standards for personal assets are your SOA should have at least 5m while your sponsor should have at least 15m.. from Wat u said your sponsor having 9m isn't enough to cover your schooling and living expenses...thats the reason for personal assets..

Lastly, u need to explain the career prospects of u doing an apprenticeship in welding...Wat I mean is what will u offer wen u come back, wats the employability of your course in Nigeria...also that letter your bro wrote saying he will house u, pls don't put it again cos dat might cost your own bro his stay in canada...

From my understanding, you can only do Post Graduate diplomas and graduate certificates when you are done with your bachelors degree. In Ontario, most Graduate diplomas are 2 years, some may even include C0-OP and PGC is usually 8 months. It all depends on your program and what you aim to achieve then you can know which program to go for.

OCC, OCD are lower to PGC and PGD and are just certifications offered by colleges on some courses.

This is not totally true, we have seen applicants here who were still on their Background Check and got their Medical Request at the same time their Eligibility review started. But most of the time Eligibility review comes before Medical Request. Its just on few occasions we get Medical requests while still on Background check.. Peace

Not in all cases. Like in my own case, I did upfront medical and I passed the medical the same day as my eligibility review started even got a biometric correspondence letter at the same day

Well...I learnt that from here and in recent times, it's been true...but logically, u can't have 1mil and u say u want to stay and liv in a land u spend 200knaira or more in 2days...thats why wen I see a denial based on personal assets, I ask how much was the balance in their SOA and sponsor's SOA...VOs need to see that u have easily accessible money in your account cos they know how weak the naira is in the international market and u wanting to study and live in a country their money value is 10times higher than yours...basically u just need enough for your 1year stay or length of your stay in canada....thats what I feel shaa...but u can Google shaa, I don't know everything..

Upfront or no Upfront, Its possible you get Medical request while still on Background check, but in cases like this Eligibility Review comes with the Medical Request.. I have seen 2 cases of applicants in this category. Read up from previous thread to get the facts.. You doing a good Job here tho, kudos.

In my own opinion, I don't think so.
Does this apply to Graduate Studies only or is UG included?

I agree with you
On CIC's website it says tuition and living expenses for a year. (I think you /your sponsor showing that you have a reliable source of income is neccesary,at least to show that you would be able to cover the expenses subsequently)
Now we already know that living expenses for a year is estimated at 10,000CAD except you're going to Qubec which is slightly higher.
10,000CAD is just 2.8million naira or thereabout. Now your tuition is what determines how much+the 2.8m that you must have. you can have 6-7million and still get approved(someone had 6.5million and his niece's application was approved)
Stop scaring people off with this 'your sponsor must have 15million naira and you must have 5million' thing....
What do I need 15million for if my tuition is 2.5million and my living expenses is 2.8m?
I'm not saying its bad if you have it...but its not like CIC says you must have 15million naira.....
