042viber12: Hi, I'm going to address the highlighted text based on my experience: I had a closing balance of 240K in my account when I submitted my application, with a total debit and credit of 700k for just 3 months even with spells of dry account in-between. I don't know how much my sponsor had, I didn't check his account (wasn't interested). But I still got the visa by the grace of God. I've seen a guy here who only submitted the scholarship letter given to him by the school as proof of funds and he got the visa. My point? There's no cic standard for money in one's personal account. Money required for study is stated, and it isn't categorised. Also God is the pivotal factor after all has been said and done. Yes, have your millions, but the God factor is the most important. 9 Likes |

Emoe7: It appears that you're not getting it right. The DLI number starts with a letter O not Zero 0, that could also be among the reason you're finding it difficult to track your application. More so, your application start date and end date should be exactly same as filled by you on the study permit form. Check these very information closely before linking up your application. |

Apparently, It is meant to be like a cover letter addressing the concerns raised by the Visa officer. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Nobody: 12:19am On Feb 08, 2019 |
Pls, I do not know it all but everything I say as a suggestion is Wat I feel is Wat is needed...concerning the amount of money in your acct (SOA)..am not saying people with 0naira won't get a visa or a person with a 100mil will get a visa...all am saying is have enough money in your account that is easily accessible to you if u seek a foreign education.. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Bracha: 12:23am On Feb 08, 2019 |
Kevweolomu: Hi, Sorry for your denial. A rebuttal letter would come in handy if the actual reasons for the denial is known to you (you'll know this by ordering the gcms note for the application). When the reasons are known, then, you include your rebuttal in your application, in the form of a Letter of Explanation (LOE); where you explain how you tackled the reasons for the refusal raised by the visa officer. Please don't mistake it for a statement of purpose (sop). SOP is a norm for every application, while LOE addresses the reasons for the refusal and how you've solved them. I hope this helps. PS: people have been known to apply w/out sop and their applications approved. But everyone is advised to include one. 3 Likes |

042viber12: @042viber12, I don't quite catch the bolded. Please can you kindly refer me to where it was stated on CIC website that a sponsored applicant should have a balance of at least 5M in their bank account? Countless of sponsored applicants on this reputable platform have secured their TRV with a 50k personal account balance, while some didn't even include theirs and were successful. Bear in mind that visa officer is looking after the financial capability and stability of the sponsor and not the applicant. Cc: Maestro001, You go ahead and submit the statement of 1.7M, it will surely go a long way to evidence your personal financial establishment in your country of residence. 2 Likes |

042viber12: Now you're sounding defensive. Ain't nobody attacking you bruh, i'm just asking you a question based on a statement you made. Like I said I have never heard of it happening and I need enlightenment just like the next guy, seeing as we're all here, learning, winging it and believing God. |

chy73: Have your friend being instructed to complete a medical exam? The biometrics validity letter she received is simply indicating that her biometrics has been accepted and will be valid till a decade time. Hence, any applications pertaining to TRV, she wouldn't have to submit her finger prints again till after a period of 10 years. 2 Likes 1 Share |

042viber12: 042viber12: Bracha: @Bracha, As long as we are human, we are bound to make mistakes. What distinguishes a forward-looking person from an intransigent one, a virtuous person from a dishonest one, however, is whether one can candidly admit to one’s mistakes and take bold steps to redress them, which I believe he @042viber12 did. Thus, let's face what brought us here and be contented subjects of our kind. @042viber12, you've always being of great support to this platform and have taken your time to respond to some many queries in here. I admire your sincere desire in assisting the new bies, not minding that your application is still pending response from IRCC. Keep it up bro. Continue with the good works and never relent. I hope to see more of your contributions on this window. Cheers! 3 Likes |

Bracha: Okay, I didn't get the info anywhere..i felt him letting know CIC about a bro he has that will house him isn't good cos it might cost the bro his stay maybe forced to come back or something..these white people follow rules well..besides no need to include such letters of having som1 that will house him, it's not necessary..all u need is get your visa. Cic doesn't bother if u have a place to stay.. |

Thanks for your reply Bracha. I received my GCMS in January and I got a more detailed explanation as to why the visa was refused in the first case. I made a lot of mistakes on the first application and I believe that I can address the concerns raised. Thank you very much. Bracha: |

Austacus:Well to some extent you are right about some Nigerians getting visas with a diploma because my best friend got his in 2015 while he was still in his service year.;also these guys are looking for every reason to deny one this visa but with all the documents I listed on there ;do you think there is any document I havent added to my list ? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Maestro001: 6:09am On Feb 08, 2019 |
042viber12:Thanks for your pointers;actually my SOA is 1.7mil like I said before but sponsors SOA read a little over 5-8mil;with these 2 SOA’s do you think is enough to deal with the issue of insufficient funds or do you think the sponsor should transfer some funds into my account to make it balanced a little? Also,on my SOP I wrote that my sponsor is a family friend and a good friend of my late parents and he’s sponsoring me on the grounds that my late dad sponsored him during his university days and so he decided to return the favor by doing the same with me ;I hope this is convincing enough? Lastly, the career progression was well explained as per why I chose that course as well as the employment opportunities that will compel me to return to my home country. I will be glad if you can let me know if my documents are complete or is there any document I’m missing out, I will be applying through paper route.(Any pointer on this) |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Frankrobbn1: 8:02am On Feb 08, 2019 |
042viber12: It will cost no pain to his brother's immigration status over there and wouldn't be ordered to leave Canada for this insubstantial reason. Every visa officers has their own preferences and set out procedures of issuing visas, some applicants included this cover letter in their application and was approved. While others did too and were rejected based on family ties in Canada. That said, any applicant that intend including a cover letter from a sibling in Canada stating that he/she will accommodated during their stay in Canada, should also work more on providing significant ties to their home country that will motivate their departure after studies. 1 Like 1 Share |

Please which of these will give me an earlier medical examination date and also which one is cheaper (Qlife and IOM) both in Lagos. Thanks |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Frankrobbn1: 9:01am On Feb 08, 2019 |
Tormentor: Q-life is the cheapest accredited panel physician (28k) and is fully booked till March. Your best bet is IOM which cost 41,400k. You will get a week appointment date from them. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Frankrobbn1: 9:11am On Feb 08, 2019 |
hardeholar1: It won't hurt your application. As a matter of fact, it helps alot in addressing your ties to Nigeria and funds accessibility by you (the principal applicant). Clearly indicate in your SOP that you and mother are the signatory to the joint account. For this reason, adequate funds will be available at your disposal during your stay in Canada. Preferably, affix a reference letter from the bank to support your claims. 1 Like |

Thanks Frank but does that mean we are both co sponsoring the education because I know there's a section in the cic form where you are asked who's is sponsoring the education Frankrobbn1: |

Top of the morning Fam. In assessment of my intended Study permit application, is it possible for XYZ Association of Nigeria to be my sponsor? The intended Msc Prog is in line with UG (BSc Economics n MA economics). p. s. The President of the Association is a Fam friend and said the XYZ Association of Nig has been standing in as a sponsor for others in the past. I want to know if this can fly. Gracias |
