If u are ABUJA base, pls visit National Hospital for treatment, viral load there is 18k, the doc, she a specialist a consultant, she will take it up from their. Keep calm n don't get urself worked up. hapatitis is disease that has to do with the lever and is mostly contacted tru fluid.( sweat, sex, blood even deep kiss) is very unfortunate that the govt gives low attention to it.

same thing happened to me last year around June and July I was tested positive for the virus, the doctor said the same thing to me, that the treatment might cost up to 1.2M but before the treatment that i should to go for viral load test which cost me 45k. However when the result came out (the result took like a month or so before it came out) I was having a low viral load and then the doctor who carried out the viral load test referred me to someone who will give me the prescribed drugs at a subsided rate but the drug were very expensive; the person said the treatment will last for three months and the drugs for each month will cost 120k, I was frustrated because I don't have that kind of money.

This is for everybody else! There is health insurance in Nigeria. NHIS cost just 15k per annum and would have covered this cost. It is late for the OP to start that now as it takes minimum of 3 months to process NHIS. Others should not wait till they need health insurance before getting it.

No Sir... You can live with HCV for years without symptoms.. You can even live with HIV for years without symptoms.. All depends on your immune system. Have had cases of people living with both infections without treatment and are doing just fine... Important thing is to maintain a healthy lifestyle.. If u go for viral load test and its low and still without symptoms just live a healthy lifestyle... For HIV is even of recent we started test and treat.. That is if you tested positive you will be started on treatment.. Before u have to go for CD4 count test and you can only be started on treatment if your CD4 count is less than 500. If I wil advice you just live a healthy lifestyle.
