How to combat that? Firstly, Field in mentally and physically rugged players, sadly, Only sokratis,laca and torreira passes this.

Secondly, Use at least 2 good fast dribbling ball Carrier, sadly No one in the squad has that, only iwobi comes close.

When in search for goals,you drive forward,cross,shoot,win founls and all, but all our players can think of is passing it to the nearest man.and when put under pressure, passes back.
Very frustrating, Look at Keita,winaldum,mane,Robertson et al they give me joy with their ball progression.

Until we sort those 2 things out, we won't compete at the high stage.
