Good day guru, pls I need help how to tackle refused application. Did I need gcms note before I can write my LOE. Pls I'm trying to reapply for study permit this month.. Pls help me ooooo house. Because of this following reasons
Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. After careful review of your study permit
application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet
the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and
Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can
demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be
accompanied by a new processing fee.
Sincerely,

It would be very wrong for anybody to advise you of not requesting for your gcms notes especially when the "purpose of visit" is part of the refusal reasons.

Lets start from the admission denial. What were the reasons given for the 4 denials?
riosworos:
Hello gurus in the house

I know my request may probably sound silly to most in the house but I genuinely need help in gaining a masters admission in a Canadian University for computer science/electrical electronics or embedded systems. For almost a year now I have applied to 4 universities but all declining me admission in Canada. I have a first class degree in Electrical/electronics engineering (UK) and and a Masters in electrical engineering (Germany) which I gained no knowledge but just a certificate. I would like to do another master degree and would be glad if someone can assist me in picking a good University and assist in gaining admission into a program by aiding me step by step because obviously I am doing something wrong... Your help will be greatly appreciated..

First let me start by saying Travel history isnt a problem at all, what u should tackle is the other reasons that were ticked on ur refusal letter, probably Purpose of visit... Even if u travel to 20 countries before u re-apply and you don't tackle purpose of visit, home ties or any other reason, You will be refused again... We have seen countless number of people on this thread getting their visa without even leaving lagos to another state not to talk of traveling out... My advise to you is for u to order for ur GCMS note, know the real reason why u were refused, tackle those reasons and when u re-apply and u meet their requirements, u will just see that Travel history will just disappear without traveling any where and you will get ur visa.. Travel history isn't a problem at all.. The only reason travel history can be a problem is when u had traveled before and u overstayed there or u have any offense in that foreign country.. But if u havnt traveled at all, my brother its very possible u get ur visa without leaving the shores of this country... Peace

1-Please I am single but are you saying I have to get married to have strong home ties?
2-And if I get married won't the funds required by the VO go up?
3-Also when they request for Reference letter from Company is it to check the amount am being paid at Work?...
Congrats bro!

1. Many applicants has entered one chance because of this social tie. In critical view as a personal opinion, there are other social/economic home ties one can easily opt for, marriage should be the least except when its necessary called for.

2. Not necessarily the amount but mostly about your attitude/demeanor to work and moral character in job responsibilities/duties and other workplace approaches in general perspective, stretching to verifying the genuineness of the Referee/HR etc

BTW Qudkom already dole out the relevant home ties, just build on it.

No VO rejects applicants on the sole purpose od travel history. It is usually accompanied with other reasons. It is left to you to work on your home ties among others. Do check my previous posts I narrated issues regarding hometies. Goodluck

Congratulations to all who have received approval of visas, reading your success stories gives me great hope. I believe I will also share my testimony soonest.

Dear Seniors n Gurus,
I need your advice, I intend to sell off 2 of my investments a land n car to have liquid cash in my account as most of my money is tied on investments e.g land, Mutual fund, rsa etc.

My questions
1. Can I pay the lump sum into my account and use to buy treasury bill or fixed deposit to show it's intended for my tuition
2. Can my spouses savings be included as part of source of my finances
3. Can I open a dorm account and pay the money into a dollar account.
4. Can I submit investments that are in my spouses name during my application? As all our investments are in my spouses name except for cars

Pls i need n appreciate your advice.

Thanks in anticipation

You mentioned you is married, which is quite to your advantage when selling off your most priced possessions(Land and Car). Its good you swiftly realize that the VOs value liquid funds as proof of funds to mutual funds, bonds, treasury bills, fix deposits etc(though these can be vital as a support for proof of funds/home ties).

The liquid funds after the sales from your most priced possessions shouldn't be deposited into the/your account intended to be used for your visa application to boycott a lump sum/huge fund deposit but there could be clearly other means to present/show this liquid funds to the VOs without any rousing scrutiny/suspiciousness by either:

1. Approach your bank discuss the intended purpose of the meeting, deposit the funds in installments at intervals(if time is not your nemesis), get your account officer to recycle the funds to blend with records, give a fee.

2. Have the liquid funds deposited in your wife's account, then get her to transfer the funds to your account with a written letter of support, as funds contributed towards your career/personal advancements for the sake of the family's future/reasonableness. The letter will ease the thoughts of the VO.

3. Even your parents can do point 2 if you don't want to use your wife.

To your other questions:

1. The best way to thread after the liquidation of your investments is to at least pay for either a semester/1yr tuition from the funds, better than incarcerating it again in treasury bill or fix deposit(I guess you already know why by now).

2. Very well, in fact, it transcends far to show that she can thrive comfortably in your absence and even vouch for any action taken for the aforementioned in point 2 with proper evidence to back up her source of funds.

3. In as much as this is credible but no need for too much long thing especially when there are varieties of substitute. If the teeth can chew meat, go for fish which is even cheaper and easier to cook and offer same protein - just use your savings/current/cooperate account then support it with your RSA(its sage not to apply with this alone).

4. Very okay, this way, your home ties is even stronger than a concrete floor, even include the car.

I do hope you get the scope, good luck!

You don't need to, but only on the exception of coinciding as part of your leisure routine and the availability of such resources.

All that's needed to be done is package your new application well to the best of your understanding and "knowledgeable research," then the travel history would be waived.

Do you have document to prove ownership of the said property? If yes, then include them in your app and state it in your SOP.
That said, home-tie can be family members, properties, job offer waiting for you back in Nigeria after your study in Canada.....

If you're applying for a study permit (SP), you do not need to submit an application for a temporary resident visa (TRV) along with the SP application because a TRV is what will be stamped on your passport. Just fill the application form for "Application for a Study Permit made outside of Canada" and other relevant forms listed and then apply. Please find relevant forms listed in the link below: fill only forms that apply to you.

I "don't think" there are just 6 designated countries because literally, there are numerous countries in the world with embedded aspiration of immigration/emigration, and so it can't be limited to just 6!.

The question about the medicals was that if an/the applicant has stayed in a country or so for at least "6 consecutive" months, and not "6 designated" countries.

Hope this clarifies the/your doubt/curiosity?!

Thanks for the attention,Please;I will like you to enlighten me more, apart from home-ties,What if an applicant has hereditary property he/she is getting paid yearly and valuable he can turn to cash like cars. How can he/she include all these in the document to be submitted?.

Your question can be categorized into two areas of both:

1. Home ties: Your hereditary property can serve as both a solid home tie and a source of funds especially if its a rental property were the necessity of including a lease contract/agreement, lease receipt, and other utility bill(s) payment invoices/receipt/telex; with the inclusion of your/the property documents(get a lawyer to do/prepare a legal/formal document of transfer to your name).

But in the case of it not being a rental/economic property, the documents would serve absolutely.

2. Source of funds: This can be referenced properly in your SOP/LOE with proper evidence as support that this funds derived/profited from the economic property will also cobtribute to sustain your miscellaneous expenses/back up funds outside your LE etc

If as "part" of the hereditary property or not, that you getting paid yearly, show evidence/proof like telex transactions(at least for 3yrs), an authenticated written document/letter to the effect, and any relevant related documents etc

"in my opinion as regarding immigration," your car can only be referred to as valuable if its a source of funds. If this be the case, an evidence/proof like proof of ownership, Hackney permit(to load and convey passengers) singled out from the rest particulars(you might decide to include others), and maybe a park tax payment receipts/sticker/ticket etc

BTW its good to keep your application simple. This is just a suggestive hint.
